(Took this from one I started awhile back and soon based a guild off of. I think I'll start anew here. =P)

Setting/Story:
These are dark times in the kingdom of Ateazia with the races clashing together. The evil and the good, romance and war, all tied into one kingdom, each with its own yearning to be the dominant race. Fueled by greed, betrayal, and romance, This is the Crimson Night. Where do you stand? Join with your own intentions and let the story unfold. Our story begins in a small town called Obrantium deep in the heart of Ateazia, as they struggle to survive through these hard times, trying to stay neutral, while being a target of more dark deeds than one.

Rules:
☼ No Godmoding
☼ Don't be rude or cruel to other people
☼ Please be as literate as possible
☼ Romance and cursing allowed, just don't be offensive
☼ Have fun ^_^.
☼ Note: I've created my own style of vampire to help develop my character, so go figure. =P Check this thread for details

NOTE: This is a general type of Rp, completely unrelated to the BDB. This is also like a medieval time period.

The Name is Xalia

(Thought I'd try to get an Rp going. See what happens. xD)

A young woman reached the edge of a small town, seeing old shops line the dirt paths of streets before the roads led to small homes. The sun was beginning to set as she pulled the hood of her dark cloak further over her hair while she walked along the main road, as if to try and hide her fair skin and elegant features further. Her ice blue eyes searched for the nearest inn, a hopeful look in her eye that she may not find any others of her kind as she intended on relaxing a bit before she needed to move on again.

Her eyes fell on a large building which she took to be a local inn, which was just what she was looking for. She looked at the building's label, The Rising Star, and then turned her attention at a group of people coming out of the inn's door, a few clearly drunk as they left for home. She smiled lightly, glad the inn also functioned as a bar as a drink sounded like a good idea. First, though, she needed to rent out a room, so she walked inside.

(but in a tavern uniform)

a pail skinned girl with long, silver/gray hair, and honey-gold eyes wearing a green and white tavern maids dress and with the airs of an angry, much abused animal(board, angry, and exercising a great amount of self control by not biting anything that moved) was behind the counter of the tavern, looking somewhat pissed off as an inebriated old man hit on her.

"no i will NOT sleep with you sir..., yes i know you have money..., no I'm not an 'expensive harlot'..., I'm not one at all,... keep your hands to your self or GET OUT!!"

she bellowed, her eyes flaring gold and a swish of fur becoming visible under her skirt for a moment. her appearance became normal after the old man staggered out the door. and she began filling tankards with ale, to carry around the room and hopefully sell. Then she noticed the hooded figure that had just entered.

"my i help you?"

she asked, not liking the scent that pervaded her nose.

[I don't know how good I'll be]

Faith jumped out of the second story window, breaking the glass. She landed on her horse. She pulled her hood over her face and started riding down the street. 7 blocks later she saw an Inn and decided to stay there for the night. She tied up her horse and walked in, sat down at a table and waved her hand up in the air, signaling the bartender to come over.

In a dimly lit corner of the Rising Star in Eva scribbled frivolously in her brown leather bound journal.

......It's been a year now since my father and Erik were slain and what have I accomplished? Nothing. Like a coward all I've done is run! I've learned nothing! I've achieved nothing! I left my mother all alone and for what? To cower and hide?

Eva paused looking down at what she had just written. A familiar burning sensation in her eyes made her nose twitch.

"No." She commanded softly as she closed her eyes and pushed back tears. She would not cry here. Not in front of all these strangers.

She took a deep breath and continued writing.

I don't even know what I'm doing out here anymore. I don't even know where to begin. I've been thinking...maybe it would be best to just go home and try to move on...isn't that what my father would have wanted?

Eva paused again as she thought of her father. Dark haired and dark eyed just like her. Smiling. Holding her small plump mother against him as lovingly and affectionately as the first day they fell in love. He would never be able to do that again.

She thought of Erik, short blonde hair shining in the sun. Deep blue eyes wide and bright as the ocean on a clear sunny day. What her parents had, she would never have with Erik.

Determined she continued writing.

No. It may have been what he wanted. But it's not what I want. Someway or another...I'll make those vampire hunters pay!

The Name is Xalia

((~†Rynn- Where are you getting the car from? They don't exist in this time period))

Xalia sidestepped the old man as he staggered out of the inn and pulled off her hood as she approached the bartender. "Do you have any spare rooms available?" she asked, pulling a few coins out from a pouch that hung on her belt. Some of it was a token from her last slaying, but that was another story. Her head tilted gently with curiosity and she smiled warmly, showing a side very different from what she was capable of.

Placing a few more coins on the counter, she took a seat and added, "And a drink. Please," as she glanced around the inn.

[I fixed it.]

The lady came over and handed her a drink. "Thanks" she muttered. She still had her hood up and she began to sip what was given to her. Faith started looking around, seeing the drunk pathetic humans. She could never understand why they act the way they do. Don't they have manners? Probably not.

Some people caught her eye, which were the only people acting with self-respect and dignity. A girl writing in a leather bound book who looked upset, a tavern girl scaring off a few men, and another female at the front counter. She liked what she did, it was a comfort, so to speak. Watching people and their daily lives.

Eva closed her journal, bound it tight and put it away in her bag.

Now it was time to address the task at hand. Though her thirst for human blood was dull in comparison to a full blooded vampire, and normal human food kept her nourished well enough for a month or so at a time, the primal thirst needed to be quenched every now and again.

Eva hated giving in to the cravings but wasn't fool enough to deny the fact that she needed the blood to survive. When she was a child she and her father made due with the blood collected by the butcher in town. It did not quench the thirst for very long, but it was good enough.

After her father's murder Eva went on a rampage and for the first time ever she, not only drank from a human, but several...and murdered them all.

Since then she has learned to control herself, only taking what she needs. She is not entirely pleased by the task, but in places such as these filled with the lowest of the low; those who give nothing much to society and will not be missed, she doesn't feel all that bad.

She spots a target heckling one of the silver-haired tavern maid at the bar and makes her move.

Eva seats herself beside the old man that had bothered the bar maid and smiles seductively, "She may not be interested...but you've certainly caught MY eye."

Robyn looked up and assessed the lady, taking in the mystery and grace of her appearance. it was rare to see this kind of customer. she had seen only one like this before, 11 years ago. she recognized the smell and wished she could growl as her hair raised on the back of her neck. it was not a "stinky" smell, but one that set off every alarm in her body, she hated this reaction, knowing that it was from he un-known fathers genetics. she forced a smile and tried to relax, the reaction would pass, and focusing on the sound of a girls scribbling in her notebook, and the foot steps of a young woman entering the inn, and getting a drink from Kandy Kaiyn, the other girl who worked in the inn. .

"would you like a more decorated room, or something out of the way? and what kind of drink, Mistress? Wine, Ale, or something stronger?"

she said, forcing her ears to stay concealed beneath her bonnet. and hoping her tail would stop sweeping the damned dusty floor behind the counter.

Eva convinces the old man to leave with her. She decides to make this quick as possible.

They head towards the door together and as she passes the tavern maid and the hooded customer that just stepped in a strange feeling overcomes her. Fear maybe? Curiosity? Anxiety?

She shakes it off and heads out the door with the old man, luring him towards the woods with promises of a very special surprise.

The Name is Xalia

Xalia's eyes watched as Eva left with the man, curiously yet with some interest. She could tell she was going to run into her again. And while her own instincts told her to follow, she stayed put for her own sake and turned back to the barmaid.
"Any room," she replied, smiling. "And wine's fine." She paused for a moment and looked at her curiously. "Are you okay?"

Once Eva and the man reached far enough in the woods that they could not be easily seen Eva told him to close his eyes while she prepared herself for his "special treat."

The man closed his eyes excitedly and Eva grinned, fangs elongating.

She paced around him whispering to him softly and seductively. But when she finally got behind him she clapped her hands together and bashed him in the side of the head, knocking him out cold.

To make the scene appear like just a typical mugging she rummaged through his person, collecting any money or valuables he might have. When she was done with that she took him by the wrist and began to drink.

She took to drinking from her victim's wrists because it was a bit more inconspicuous than the neck--and a lot less intimate. In any case the official "mark of the vampire" was a neck bite and...she was no vampire. Well...not really.

Faith sensed something weird about the girl who just stepped outside. No one that cute and pretty would be with a man like him. Then it hit her. Ahh...so that's why. "Fine by me" she whispered. She got up and went over to the counter. "I would like a room please, it doesn't matter what kind, as long as there is a bed and a sink." Faith took out a little ouch of coins and put it on the table. "I'll be over there." SHe points to where she was sitting and goes back over there, sits down and starts sipping her drink again.

When Eva was done with her "meal" she left the old man unconscious in the woods and headed back towards town, sorting through the loot she had plundered from him; coming across a room key in the process.

Hmm... she thought, so he wasn't from around here either then?

She made a face. Or maybe he was just certain he was gonna get lucky. Gross...

She yawned as she reached the outskirts of the town. Feeding always made her so sleepy afterwords.

She should probably skip town before anyone realized the old man was missing, but....well, no sense in wasting a good room, right?

She'd be gone by dawn...and if anyone came before then she was sure she could outrun them.

She stopped in front of the inn.

Best not to make a scene of coming back in though...

She walked around the side of the building and saw an open window on the second floor. Praying quickly and quietly that no one was in that room, she made her way up the side of the building heading towards the window.

" i believe we have an open room on the second floor, that should be fresh, I've let it air out today, would you like the wine sent up? I'm fine, ma'am."

she said, turning and waiving to get Kandy's attention from the strange woman she was serving.

"watch the bar for me after you're done with that customer"

the smell of blood invaded her nose, and she lost her cool, her eyes turning an angry yellow color, and her bonnet sliding off to reveal her ears.

"please wait here, ma'am!"

she said, running up the steps and into the room with the open window, hoping for a better view of the scene, after all security was what the inn's owner had bought her for. she growled under her breath

"this is the last damn thing i need!"

she positioned herself, right behind the wall, next to the window. looking out, but harder to see.
