The dominate creatures of this realm; Dragons. Unlike the fire breathing monstrous creatures known in many other realms the dragons in this realm are not only more mild in size and other characteristics but the dragons of this realm are most well known for being "Sapience" - Sapience describes an essential human property that bestows "personhood" onto a non-human. It indicates that a computer, alien, mythical creature or other object will be treated as a completely human character, with similar rights, capabilities and desires as any other human character. The words "sentience", "self-awareness" and consciousness" are used in similar ways.. In short these dragons are just like you and I, they have families, Cities, cultures. often referred to in other realms as domesticated dragons, However it isn't a completely correct statement as these dragons have easily gone among their lives without being suppressed by a higher power, their "Sapience" is natural, they had no outside help in obtaining it. Elven culture often reffed to this realm of dragons as the "Dragon Hierarchy" or "Hierarchy Of the Seven" - The Name given to reefer all the dragons races as a Whole. Size/Height Reference: Dragon sizes best explained. -Biggest- Dark Dragon Light Dragon Wind Dragon Earth Dragon Ice Dragon Water Dragon Fire Dragon -Smallest- Fire Dragons height (according to eye and head level) Goes up-to about the mid-area to the average human man (roughly 3 feet tall) However total lengthwise of this dragon is roughly 6-7 feet. making it the smallest dragon race of the world. Water Dragons typically range to the size to being able to look eye to eye with most humans (roughcast 5-6 tall) however lengthwise they very from 12-18 feet depending on the region they are located. Ice Dragons are commonly the same as water dragons, but they easily are double the length, giving them massive snake like bodies even at young ages. Earth dragons range for standing height to be about the size of a human realm horse, however they can easily excel this growing double, and in rare cases trip the average size. Wind Dragons actually barely outsize earth dragons in common height however they commonly do not get much bigger - otherwise it effect their ability to glide on the air. Light dragons loom over most humanoids at roughly 8-12 feet tall, although some debate this, because most light dragons walk upright, while races like the earth and wind do not, but despite this debate in most cases they are infarct larger then wind dragons, with age and good health they can reach rather large sizes. Dark dragons rank the tallest beating most light dragons on a average for two or mote feet and then some, giving a more classic dragon appearance with their heavy size... the older the dragon, the bigger, not sizes are 100% set, they are merely set as a guide.

Water Dragons
Diet: Fish, Green stuff, and more fish, they don't really care for sweet things that much Temperament:Most Water Dragons are calm and normally shy, But overall, they are rarely aggressive. Abilities:Water Dragons from the time they are born can breath underwater even though their eggs are laid on land. More powerful Water Dragons are said to have the power to control water itself as well as use it to cure others and make things grow quicker. Beliefs / Customs:Water Dragons normally don't believe in love at first sight they believe that love comes as it chooses. Water Dragons rarely mate for life... Also a major custom of Water Dragons is a game called 'Dive'. It's a simple game where Water Dragons go into the deepest water they can find and try to see who can dive the deepest without being crushed under pressure of the water itself... The deeper a Water Dragon can dive, the more likely good things will happen to that Dragon. Baby Info:Water Dragon eggs are said to be the shiniest eggs you will ever see, that is if you ever get to see them... Most Water Dragons are very touchy about even letting their mates touch their egg while they're getting ready to hatch... One cool thing about Water Dragon babies is that Water Dragon babies tails are actually bigger then normal Water Dragon's tails, the reason for this is so the baby can't swim very far form it's Parents, the tail fin to start off with is soft and flexible, but as the baby gets older the tail will stiffen and sharpen, turning its floppy, fishy tail into a razor propeller. Another Cool thing, Is Water dragon babes are born With Teeth (Oh noses) which means as soon as they are born they are able to eat normal everyday food... Habitat:Water Dragons normally like the water of lakes and ponds compared to the waters of open ocean and rivers, but they're commonly seen in all warm water areas, but rarely rivers and almost never on completely dry land. Most are sickened by the idea of living in a swamp.

Earth Dragons Diet: Earth dragons are herbivores, so they eat seeds, fruits, mushrooms and plants- but some in lands with less plantlife are capable of living by hunting small game. Temperament: Earth dragons adapt easily to their environement, but their attitudes can be as diverse as the number of species in the world. They tend not to go to the extremes, and most of them lean towards pacifism- they don't usually team up with either good or evil. Abilities: Earth dragon's birth "power" might be the fact that they are made sturdier at birth than other dragons- their survival capabilities are very high, thanks to a special immune system and a strong build. They have very good strength and resistance, and they can live off much less food than other dragons- it is said that the earth nourishes them by making them able to absorb more energy from food. It was heard that some extremely powerful ones gain the ability to turn enemies to stone by touch, to bend the earth's shape to their will, and to absorb life energy from the earth itself. Beliefs / Customs: Although there are old-style earth dragon tribes, earth dragons often don't stay in one place all their life and end up very cultured, because they make great travellers. They believe that all creatures that walk the earth can get along if sufficient effort is put into it together. Baby Info: Earth dragon babies are the most resistant to disease. They rarely get sick when they're being raised, and gain strength very quickly, so they do not need to be taken care of for a long time before they're good enough to play around without supervision. Habitat: Earth dragons are pretty all-around dragons. Some prefer the forest, some prefer the desert, some prefer the mountains or the beach.

Wind Dragons Most people don't realize it. But Wind dragons aren't really good fliers... they Have to Use the Wind to get their Best Performance In the Air. Older Wind dragons over time can learn to Move and make wind on their own, and feel when great storms are about to happen... but as for younger wind dragons, they can fly without wind, but it takes alot of stress to do and normally they can't fly very far. Diet:Wind dragons are omnivores. They can eat just about anything that Humans can, However Heavy Meats, and Acidic Foods don't settle well with these dragons. Their Favorite treat, Is Mint. Temperament: these are fairly even dragons, they tend to range in all types of temperament. Abilities: Feeling the Weather, or winds of change, they have the tendencies to feel when something different is going to happen or when it will rain or snow.... Beliefs / Customs:"Jump Up" a game popular around very young Wind dragons, it normally starts when a few hachlings are fighting over something, to solve it they would find the biggest and tall thing they could get on top of, and jump as high as they could, followed by a nose dive string to the ground, first one to hit the ground or fly away loses. Baby Info:Wind dragon babes can Fly or Gide at a very early age. however how well is another story... Habitat:Wind dragons can Live just about anywhere, as long as their is a good breeze, commonly they are seen up in mountains, and on the shore line. uncommonly they are seen around cites and rolling hills

Ice Dragons Most Ice dragons live in cool damp places, others live in Icy cold places, they are rarely seen in warm or hot places because as they become overheated very easily, and unlike water dragons their skins can crack and become painfully itchy. Unlike water dragons they can't breath Underwater, BUT they can hold their breath up to an hour be for passing out. but even then they can live for a long time without any air at all, they are even known to absorb oxygen into their skin... but what makes them different and even better then water dragons in many cases, Ice dragon's don't freeze, a chemical compound in their blood and skin makes it even if they are frozen in ice they can still live. Diet: Ice dragons can go a long time without Eating, their body is build for this as most ice dragons live in areas where their is little food... But most ice dragons, Like water dragons eat fish, but they also eat small animals, they eat fatty foods which helps them float, and stay warm. Other then meat they like heavy veggies, oily fruits. like beans, Avocado, eggplants, papayas, Yams potatoes, the list goes on... Temperament: Ice dragon are a slow pace type of dragon, but they are Highly protective of their young. Ice dragon temperaments are very much like snakes they can be sneaky misleading and good lairs, and they remember things very well. Abilities: Ice dragons have the power to keep things and even make things cold, forcing the air around them to part making everything colder... dragons who train hard can learn to Freeze things at will, even heal them selfs from the cold it self... but as far as ice powers go for the normal ice dragon, they are know to be able to freeze the ground or even pin holes, keeping enemies spinning around on a thin sheet of slick ice while they can get away... some call it the "ice pit" as it's used to keep small animal trapped inside of dugout holes in till they are eaten later... Beliefs / Customs:A very popular game with ice dragons is hold em'up it's a rather strange game where two ice dragons hold their breaths and their mouths and noses are closed, then two ice dragons would press their heads against each other over a line draw on the ground... the first one to pass out or get pushed over the line losses the game... as well as their honor... Baby Info:Baby ice dragons are the smallest, weakest and most helpless of the dragon races. Although most are born very close to water, Ice dragon baby's can't swim... tier muscles and are just not strong enough to make their long body move or even strong enough to flick their goldfish like tails in the water Ice dragon babes don't have any teeth ether, but watch out, the first teeth to come in are their fangs Most Ice dragons babies eat from a thing that's called "A Mother's Kiss" Which from far away, it looks like a ice dragon mother Kissing their young, But what they are really doing is feeding their young from a pouch deep-inside of them which acts like a Second stomach, turning food into a milky Mush without the Acid found in the guts of most dragons guts, where it is later literally thrown up and fed to the young... Habitat:-60 to 65 Temperature Wet dam and or cold places.

Light Dragons Light dragons are said to be the most intelligent and most evolved dragons out of the known races, In most light dragon clans and cities you will find " Crystal technology" - Unlike regular Hard-ware computer human technology - Magic/raw energy is typically used as the soft-were, and hard-were replaced with using various types of well formed crystals. Light Dragons are the only known dragons to use it for everyday use. Despite their Curly horns, Feathered wings and Fluffy fur-like tails most rather rather serious then playful, They known to be somewhat knowledgeable able in magic and science - depending on the manor on which they are raised debating their interest and actual knowledge. Diet:Light dragons are omnivores. They can eat pretty much all normal food- fruits, veggies, meat, cereals. Like humans. - However most seem to avoid from heating Heavy meats, in some cases meat all together. Temperament: Light dragons are usually of a kind nature, but aren't all necessarily docile. Their attitudes vary a lot in their communities. Abilities: Light dragons are rather well contented to their own inner energies making their able to use a wide rare of magic and raw energy based attacks. Beliefs / Customs:Most light dragons believe there is a answers to everything, Debates and Book reading are rather common forms of gathering. Despite most light dragons knowledge factor there are quiet a few that pick fashion over knowledge, these light dragons are rather easy to spot since they tend to have polished scales, trimmed tail-fluffs, and sometimes dyed feathers. Baby Info:Easily said to be the cutest most lovable, snuggle and did i mention cutest of all dragon hachlings. Much like baby chickens they are all too eager to curl up with one another and follow their mothers around, but also remain very friendly, in some cases perhaps abit too friendly. This behavior is actually taught out of the dragons after they fully start to talk, and start to gain the ability to fly. It is not uncommon for Light dragon parents to trim the wings and Tail-fluffs of their hachlings to help keep them out of trouble, even with very well behaved hachlings. In some clans the trimming lasts clear up in till adulthood, making flying a right into passage into adulthood. Habitat:Light Dragons can typically live anywhere in the dragon realm, but most tend to stay around the open grass lands and in cities.

Dark Dragons Diet: Dark Dragons are purely carnivore. They don't eat plants and fruits- they only hunt the bigger game, like deer, horses, boars and sometimes big lizards. Their favorite meal is lamb. Some dark dragons are said to eat humanoids and even other dragons. Temperament: Dark dragons are antisocial, stubborn, aggressive. Dark dragons who were born away from the base culture and sometimes right into other dragon races hands. These are usually like the dragon race they spend their time around, and can be just as kind as a light dragon depending on their upraising. Most of the dark dragons seen to date were further inland and didn't have much contact with the base cultures of dark dragons, so they were quite normal in other dragon race's terms, but would never be accepted into one of the more traditional dark dragon clans. Abilities: Dark dragons are deeply in touch with their spiritual forces and energies, But unlike light dragons they do not embrace magic and science, but rather put thier faith into the spirits and gods of the realm. They commonly use brute force over magic - but commonly with older dragons they may be a custom to using curses, voodoo - and forms of other darker and sometimes forbidden trades. the most common form of magic that is known among the dark dragons is known as "Black Light" a sort of backwards form of most energy based magics, rather then bursting to cause damage, it normally absorbs and drains energy. Beliefs / Customs: Traditional dark dragons had a very unstable and dangerous hierarchy- to take another dragon's rank, they challenged each other to a deathmatch in swamps, and other dragons watched the gruesome battles. Their ancient legends tell them how their ancients went to war with other dragon races who became extinct or were forced to slavery beneath them until they were all killed. They believe in evil gods and some tribes capture demons and later kill them for ceremonies. In the past, dark dragons were hunted by humans. Baby Info: Dark dragon babies just look like miniature adults- their wing material is still soft, so they can't fly as high as adult dark dragons. Their horns don't come off to be replaced by bigger ones- instead they just grow, so they're often itchy. Babies often rub their itchy horns against trees, leaving distinct marks in the woods that warn off prey- that's why it's not uncommon for dark dragons to hunt far from their local homes are. Habitat: Despite their name terms, Dark dragons actually like bright and warm weather, Tropical seems to be their most favored but some will seduce for others places.

Fire Dragons Diet:There are strictly two types of diets for fire dragons, Crystal and Sediment diet, switching form one to another can be a long and painful process. Crystal Diet:Volcanic crystals, gems, shiny stones, basically rock that don't have lead, iron, or any other types of metals in them, because when heated it swells in the belly and can oddly rust and the gases form the heated metal can poison them to death... The Bonus to this diet are simply that a fire dragon doesn't need to eat very much, almost like a snake only needing to eat once every few weeks, to months - The downside of this diet however is a fire dragon must remain super heated, if the heated liquid gemstones become cold, the fire dragon in itself literally turns to stone. Sediment Diet:Sand, Silt, Clay... and basically dirt, leaves for a smooth and easy digestion for fire dragons who wish to remain a normal temperature, the downsides to this diet is a fire dragon must eat regularly just like any other dragon, not an easy task to spend a great amount of time eating dirt... it can have grave effects on the fire dragon emotionally as well, as others may find it strange or humorous... Temperament:Fire dragons are shy little creatures, but can be very affectionate and sweet. They're usually naive and simple-minded, and love the company of other fire dragons. They're cautious with new things, but if you treat them nicely, they're likely to bring you a lot of joy... Sadly Most Fire dragons don't speak a normal dragon tongue, and speak using ancient words with clicking and burning sounds. Abilities:Oddly, Fire dragon Are Not made of all Fire, The fire seen on their body is really the air and their top layer of skin which is burning because of the over heated insides, which are so they can eat gems, and other stones, and fire dragons on will can force their fire to turn into Pure energy, which looks just like normal fire, so be careful... Some fire dragons are lucky enough to be able to 'Hover' (not fly) off the ground because they are able to push their energy and heat under them, to make them hover up to 6 feet off the ground... and trust me, you don't want to be standing Under them... Water does not hurt them, although staying in the water too long can make them too cold and case them to die If they are under a crystal diet... Beliefs / Customs:It is not exactly sure what all fire dragon customs are because of their fire crackling language, it is known though that they very deeply respect fire dragon guardians, Amaya, Irihi , & Omozo Baby Info:Fire dragons have a weakness: anything that even looks cold. Their flames and heat isn't strong enough when they're young, so they can die - Even under a sediment diet. fire dragons feed their young by eating solid gemstones and melting them in their gut be for spiting it back up for your babys to feed because their bodys are not strong enough to make the gems into liquid them selfs... - The same can be said for sediment diets too, but some times it is hard to convince a hachling to eat super-heated sand... Habitat:They're usually in underground tunnels, but (rarely) sometimes deserts and rocky cliffs. They don't usually live near areas where they could easily become vulnerable, so don't expect to find them in forests and jungles.

Other Notes:
Age: Most dragons "naturally" live generally two-to three-hundred years when they live a healthy life, however ones who go about poor diets and live most of their life with stress and battle tend to live as generally live half of this, mostly due to the fact they die from illness or are simply killed. a dragon who takes exstreamly good care of them selfs could live for four-to five-hundred years... generally these are commonly shamans and priests and other spiritually/magically important dragons.
Gender: Aside from Male and female dragons it is not too uncommon for a Dragon of the Ale gender to apeer - these dragons are basically hermaphroditic dragons, being both male and female. it is also not uncommon for a dragon to be genderless - generally made however when genetics are tampered with, or overly stressed (Inbreeding, or overly mixed breeding are common reasons.) Ungenders dragons are considered to be very mystical, picked by the gods.
Conjoined twins: (multiple-headed dragons) These are only 'known' to naturally apeer within the Water & Ice dragons races, but tales say of horrible dragon demons and spirits that hold multiple heads - made by the gods to bring wrath on the realm. - It is not uncommon for conjoined twin dragons to have different genders - however these dragons are typically called Ale's - though some hate being called this, each head pronouncing clearly their gender.
Mixed Breeds Despite some believes, it is known, and very much possible for any of the known dragons races to interbreed. Creating mixed breeds, however mixed breeds are highly uncommon and typically are the result of dragon slavers, or random dragon Flings. Overall mixed breeds are typically looked at as freaks within the realm, some considering their existences a crime against the well being of dragon-kind. - These dragons are quite easy to spot, as they range from belly crawling earth dragons, to Clawed-Pointed horned light dragons, and Flaming water dragons... It is not recommended that dragons mix breed for wide range of given reasons, but some of the most simply that are displayed as a mixed dragon can generally have a hard time, not just emotional but physically.
Why These Particular Types Of Dragons? On top Of being all "Original" Dragon Races it was decided by many of the older people of the original role play (that was originally based off a breedable pet shop) these 7 dragons listed are the main dragons we wished to use in order to keep a regular flow within the RP (not having a million different versions of dragons apeering) - A loop hole around this we generally allow is Mixed dragon breeds - (say someone wanted a dragon character that looked like that of a Chinese dragon, we would suggest they build a character that was a mix between a Ice, and Wind dragon, or maybe a Dark or Light Dragon.)
