) Be Original!
Please Understand we really wish for everyone to form their own characters, and we want you and everyone to be creative as possible! So we push for you to be original, Characters and Key Elements From Movies, Tv serious, Anime, Manga, Games, and Books are to be left alone! - No you can NOT make a dragon named Draco and be the last of your kind, so you can break your heart in half in order to save the life of a human. NO you may NOT be the Epic half breed demon named Inuyasha with a epic transforming sword. - It is good to draw ideas from such things however try to be original! - this is our Golden Rule

) No 1337 or Net/Text Speak
In this Gaian Role play, we do not require For you to have perfect spelling, gamer or perfect punctuation. However we want you to at lest Type out your words so we can fully understand and read them! common things such as: np ty ppl omg - and other shorten forms of shorten words used in the forums and texting are not allowed! 1337 or otherwise known as leet follows under this as well - as humorous as it is, we really would like you to speak clearly.
One Expectation! - If you feel the need to use leet or text speak in your characters dialogue then you may, BUT under the requirement that only spoken words are used for this AND that you put a translated version at the bottom of your post so we may still understand it.




) Three Lines! (Put Effort into it!)
We like to remind everyone that forums are not always live chat, it may take awhile to get a reply, and from my own personal experience there is nothing worse then typing nearly a page twords a story line then have to wait a long time for a reply and have it be as little as just a handful words. So We encourage people to put at lest three (Three sentences) For Each Char you have.

Example Of three lines:

A man comes walking down a long wall twords you. He stops just before reaching you while looking you up and down for some time. "..." Finally after a pause he speaks "...Are You Human?..."

Bad Reply 1: "Yes..."
Bad Reply 2: You Nod your head "Yes I am..."
Bad Reply 3: You stare down the man.. "..What if I'm Not?...." You Nod your head "...Yes I am"

Good Reply 1:
You tremble with fear while looking at the man - Just where did he come from? You look around the hall before looking back the man as if to think he was really there. "Yes..." you nod your head while looking to him.

Good Reply 2:
You blink surprised to have someone what you such a question "Yes I am..." You look over the man as if trying to get a better look at him, Curious by his question... "Why do you ask?..." you cross your arms awaiting a answer from this unknown man.

Good Reply 3:
You stare down the man, Just who the heck he think he was anyways? asking such a question "...What if I'm Not?..." You laugh a bit before flicking your head back a bit "...Yes I am" you sit your head back up to look at him, as if recovering from the small laugh "Are you?"



) Remember the Dragons
Remember this is the realm of the dragons, as it may be good to focus on other races from time to time it is a good reminder to not forget about the dragons!




) Technology and Time Frame(entering the realm)
Technology is... allowed?!
We are generally a open fantasy group with no set time frame or world kept in mind to allow as much passable freedom within the plots - some things I should first point out is most things in the realm are done with magical resources and mi-devil settings. Things such as Guns, flashlights, cellphones, are not Native to the dragon realm, they must be brought from another realm - This rule extends to "if it cant fit in your pack, you cant bring it." - and note there is no plug-ins or ammo stores in the realm...also Please note that technology is frowned on with most of the dragon races.... If you are in need of more things from your home realm you will have to return to the capital city [outside guide/main topic] and transport back to your realm; to get it.

No Future Technology.
We allow a flexible time frame when entering the dragon realm but please - for the sake of all that is good... no light-sabers of energy-charge weapons, or anything of the Future realm... I do not want to haggle with these over-powered gizmos. - if you are looking for a alternative i would suggestion crystal technology.


"Crystal technology" - Unlike regular Hard-ware computer human technology - Magic/raw energy is typically used as the soft-were, and hard-were replaced with using various types of well formed crystals. -- Crystal technology is native to the realm, but is typically used with people who use magic, it is highly unlikely you will start to role play with some, but it may be possible to locate some on your travels.

) Topic Jumping
While going throughout the story you may find it hard to keep up with some topics throughout the guild, not just from post numbers, but plot lines and just sheer amount of characters (The main topic outside of the guild would be the best example to this) In order to to keep this to a minimal we have a guild and a method called topic Jumping - this is simply moving your chars into another part of the realm so you can better role play with the key chars you like.

When you topic Jump you are required to:
Post a Link to the topic and PAGE you are moving to

when you post in newly jumped topic you are required to:
Post a Link to where you have Topic Jumped forum (Topic and page)

The main reason for this is if someone wishes you follow you, or perhaps just read back in the plot (such as caching up from being gone a few days) they can easily do so.



) Making New Topics/places
We want you and everyone to be creative as possible! - So if you wish to make a new town/city place or what not - you are welcome to! Please note each location will require Full details about the location, and to make sure the topic makes it into the proper sub forum for it's location (Note: Unknown/hidden locations May go on the Main forum - if you are confused simply ask for help)

Note: in the event that you wish you make a topic based on a area that already has a topic, be sure to label it as another part of that area (like for a city, you could make a new topic based on the same city, BUT maybe based on the marketplace, or downtown.. ect.)




) Acknowledge And be aware of others.
when you are actively Role playing with others it can sometimes be easy to overlook new people entering the story, Or even leave someone behind while your moving forward in the story. Try to be generous and not leave people behind, or alone in a topic - we are all in this together remember! Is someone is lost - Update them on what is going on in the rp topic. If you and a few others start to rp out of pace (going faster then others) you may want to consider a topic jump. Or even consider making a new topic inside of the guild.




) Waiting up / Inactive Time
as a note to acknowledging others there may be a time when some people are gone for a few days (work, school, trips ect) to make a whole topic wait for a whole week while your on a trip to hawaii is unfair... PLEASE post when your leaving for more then a day or two, so people know weather or not to wait up on you! It's not required to wait up on everyone, however it is required to acknowledge others. Be respectful (Don't run off and leave everyone all the time just because you can) it's suggested that if you wish to wait on someone don't wait any other then 2 days unless you wish to or it is planed.




) God Moding / Over Powered
Ohh god... This is the one thing I hate to talk about but it tends to be a common issue with all role plays..

God Moding -
The act of which you rob other characters of choice in order to play in favor of your self.... Prime examples would be to Hit someone without giving them the Option to dodge, Or within a race you assume you will win. Or Taking information that your character couldn't possibly know (but your real self knows) and using it.

Over Powered -
Not always Quite the same as god moding - But it can be the aim of many complaints in a plot - things to keep in mind is to stick to your character's Bio, and to not randomly bring on new abilities. But also remember to take a hit! Even dragon GODS can be struck. No one is that fast, Powerful and what not. remember your weaknesses. Remember... you can in fact die... (but that doesn't mean that's the end!)


Death -
When you die it is not the end! you generally will be given 2 choices, you may go to the Underworld (Weather you become: a lost soul, a demon/troublesome spirit or perhaps a servant of the underworld) or you may go to the Ethereal Rift (Weather you let your character rest in peace, Linger to give advice to the living, become reborn, or perhaps a servant of Zara...)

The only loop hole i will allow currently for be coming back the way you originally where be for you died, is if you become a servant of ether the underworld or the Ethereal rift and earn your way back to being mortal again.


Examples Of God Moding/Over powered Replies:

A Large Bear magically a peers before you! Snarling and growing it Glances around befor making a loud roar "...BRAWWRRRR!..." Suddenly it starts to Charge twords you, Drawing it's large jaw open temping to bite you!

Bad Reply 1:
You Run twords the bear Quickly Drawing your sword "...Arrgg!.." you yell befor striking down on the bear, Stabbing it in the heart "...you shall meet your maker!..." you growl with your own words befor pulling out your swords

Why is it bad?:
Hitting the bear and even stabbing it without any option for the bear to react, you assume the bear is going to take the hit, not only time but assume it does nothing as you remove your sword.. but also you disregard the fact the bear was attacking you.. did the bear miss? or did it get to bite you?


Bad Reply 2:
You Run from the bear - quick to get away "...AHHH!!..." you scream in terror without looking back, in till you come across a tree, quickly you climb up the tree "...today is not my day.." you sigh free from the bear..

Why is it bad?: This actually isn't too bad, however you run assuming the bear won't follow, as like the reply be for you disregard weather or not the bear's attack worked or not...


Bad Reply 3:
You stand your ground looking dead on as the bear aims to make it's attack "...I grow bored of this..." you extend your hand be for starting to chant a spell. Just as the bear starts to draw near you flick you hand as a huge explosion waves forward, caching the bare abase "...shame..."

Why is it bad: Actually it isn't too bad eater, easily acknowledged the bear, however like the others it doesn't give the bear a chance to do much interaction (aside from stop drop and roll "ouch.." )

Suggestions/Advice:
Try to keep your actions in a "what if" sort of form or "trying to" sort of thing, Or give an option - if it hits then this happens - if it doesn't then this - If you happen to have something you honestly feel is unavoidable/must happen - you should still make a huge effort to allow people to choice what happens to their characters





) No Drama - Be Respectful

They keep attacking me! They are too powerful! I keep getting left behind!

these might be common complaints but we should all keep in mind that there shouldn't be any drama outside of the story line - it's unnecessary - if you have a issue no one will know in till you actually say something, and be nice about it! they might not even know they are doing it! - Things such as being attacked might have nothing to do with you, I know this personally from having many evil characters that sometimes people can feel that you as in your real self might have something against them - remember that this is purely for enjoyment, and fighting and villains are a common part if role plating and plot building - it keeps things interesting. If there is a issue you feel needs work - simply ask one of the Guild moderators.
