A frail messenger boy is seen tacking up a note on the outside of each Ludus. It is quite a trip between each one and so the entire journey takes some time, but finally he finishes and returns to the Villa.
The parchment reads:
Presentation Games start today at the Villa. Bring any slaves worth seeing. If I am pleased with what I see there will be gifts for the winner.

Another note has been posted over top of existing paper.
Reads:
Presentation Games canceled due to wind storms, which has swept desert sands into the towns. The Magistrate will not exit his building until the sting of sand has passed. Do not come knocking no one will answer.
