This is Imladriscion's Character stash, recorded for posterity, analysis, and perhaps reintroduction into their own stories later on. Within it contains a copy of the RP app, a link to the RP thread, and Commentaries on Concept, which may or may not contain Spoilers (hence CCS) about the character and/or their settings and would not normally be known or in the interest of a typical RP'er.

...Greetings...My name is Aaya, I'm a 20 year old female, and this is my story. I am a Zodiac of the Dark and I was born on April 25th, 1990 - my sign being The Slain Dragon. I have feminine tendencies, giving me unnatural grace and keen eyesight, with the ability to see a glimpse of the past when I touch an object. I'm considered a level 2, meaning I have control of two elements, mine being Air and Metal. I was born in the year of the Metal Horse. So my partner, naturally, is a horse; his name is Nox.
You could say I have a unique personality - tenacious, opportunistic, prideful, and cunning. I am logical almost to a fault which can make it difficult for me to connect with people. People used to say I got too serious on the job, but to see the bad side of people everyday is a strong drink to have. To my friends I am quick-thinking and a resourceful source of support, to my enemies I am brutal and persistent, maybe even reckless, at least, that's how I see myself. You decide. When I'm in battle I use metal darts or my gun, when the going gets tough. My hobbies are few, but my favorite thing to do in my downtime is to go out and practice sharpshooting, but I also enjoy traveling and studying history. History, in fact, turned me onto calligraphy, which I find very relaxing.
*Her cellphone rings, as she wordlessly answers her face hardens as she hangs up* I got a tip-off - I have to go, but before I do, let me tell you about my past. I had a relatively normal life as a kid, and never really thought anything of being a zodiac, of myths and dusty prophecies. It wasn't until I got a job in law enforcement and into the real world that things got interesting for me. I worked plain clothes or as an undercover, traveling all over the world in the pursuit of some of the most dangerous criminals in the past 30 years. My abilities and intuition gave me celebrated success and hardly went unnoticed. My family was nearly killed in retaliation, their warning you could say, if I stayed in the force. My family survived and was taken into witness protection...I guess you could say they had succeeded after all. My family was gone, and for all intensive purposes dead. It had become personal, I snapped, and it cost me my job at the force, but who cares? I got my revenge on those responsible, more then 20 years worth of court trials could have ever done. That's when I truly realized that the law never did anything for me that I couldn't do myself. So now I find my own way to justice. It's my way, or the highway. Protecto, servo - not anymore.
I had never taken the Zodiac Prophecy seriously in my life, despite the whispers in the underground. But you know what? It's about time I had some fun doing my job. When the Zodiac of the Dark wins this war, there'll be a new sheriff in town. In a world of black and white, there can only be one.
Zodiac form Nox, My animal partner.
Here's my card, if you have any more questions, talk to my man - Imladriscion. That's it. *Aaya gives a casual, mock salute*An app for a Zodiac based RP, set in the modern day, where there are two separate sets of birth-signs that are at odds with one another in their quest to rule/remake/destroy the world - it isn't very clear. At the time I made the app, there was an underwhelming presence of dark characters, so I decided to even out the field by creating Aaya. Commentary, Concept, Spoilers:Aaya almost literally fell into place of her own accord, I had found her portrait - the main character from the anime series Ergo Proxy, Re-l Mayer. I loved the statement the picture made, the attitude, the in-your-faceness, and that look of hers was enough to wilt a rose. Her archetype is an easy one to spot as the cop gone bad, a rebel, but with the simple twist that her morality sometimes makes her indecisive at the most pressing, inopportune moments. She's bitter, cynical, and the type of person who finds peace away from others. She trusts few, but trusts them solidly and goes out of her way for them. A given conversation indicates that she is a person of logic and few words, remaining curt and goal-oriented when she's around people she doesn't know or trust. Underneath it all though, she's still the same person she was before the incident, compassionate, driven, level-headed - human. As all "bad guys" should be. The quickest way I can think of to describe Aaya is Lawful Neutral. Her logical nature made her originally oblivious to her abilities, thinking she had something of a "spark" and nothing more. She met Nox visiting relatives out in the country on their farm, coming to the realization that her spark might be more than just seeing the past. She brushed off the nonsense about the prophecy, refusing to believe her life was not her own. Older, she served in the police force for a few years and believed strongly in her work. She used her keen eyesight and particularly her ability to discover the past of an object (people who last touched a pen, where the pen went, what it wrote, etc) to gather powerful, accurate evidence that knocked most court cases out of the water and, she took great satisfaction from mopping the floor with them. But the day the hit failed on her family, her outlook on life changed dramatically. She watched in horror as her family was carted off, their identities undisclosed to her and the very epitome of justice, in her eyes, lay motionless, apathetic and blind to the severe injustice of it all as the parties responsible walked freely. She went ballistic, and did what she knew no cop should ever do, take justice into their own hands. It was a total bloodbath, with literally no place to hide - she was finally caught when one of the last remaining targets made a bargain with the police, promising cooperation in exchange for their lives. Aaya was stripped of her badge, publicly denounced, and otherwise quickly ostracized. Instead of doing time, she was given the offer to take parole and assist police efforts outside the force for the next five years. She took it, and we meet her for the first time two years into her five year sentence. She's wheeled and dealed her way around her parole to the point where she has near perfect freedom and has even earned the grudging respect of a few on the force. Given her elements, Air and Metal, and the modern day setting - I thought I would be a fool not to make her a marksman-type, especially considering her background. Seeing as she controls two, she's pretty run-of-the-mill, but her mastery of firearms and the setting of the RP (think about how much metal we use in the modern day) give her an extra edge, making her very lethal when given a chance to use her abilities. Her relationship with Nox is an odd one, horses are a rare sight in the modern day in close proximity to a large city - which causes her to often leave the city to spend time with him. Nox is something of an anchor to Aaya, his observant, steady, noble nature contrasting with her impatience and quick temper. They bicker and banter constantly, their ornery humor smoothing over many disagreements between the two. In an effort to pretty up my posts I tried to come up with a color for Aaya, eventually settling on dimgray - it was easily readable, and while not really the prettiest of colors, neither is life sometimes. Gray is her color, the gray of a storm-cloud, the gray of gunmetal, the gray of her life and the line she walks.

❝It cannot be seen, cannot be felt, Cannot be heard, and cannot be smelt. It lies behind stars and under hills, And empty holes it fills. It comes first and follows after, Ends life, and kills laughter.❞ The Basics I've been expecting you, dear guests, my name is Kurnoc. But most people call me The Herald, if fact, I find I much rather prefer it. You should hear the way the people whisper it, it's enough to make me giddy. In case you can't tell I'm 18 years young, and I'm a Male. I'm on the side of Evil and I am The Sorcress' Companion. Getting Deeper My life's been pretty cool. So here's my story. I wasn't always the Sorceress' Companion, you know. Why, once, I was a mouth - a very pretty one, so...naive.*Kurnoc giggles repulsively* I was a gift you see - a glorious house-warming gift - given to the Sorceress to make sure she wasn't lonely and that she remains here for a very long, long, long time. *He flashes an eerie, insane smile* Something special about me is my skin, I know it's an odd place to be special, but see here...See how it moves? It tends to baffle people. It's almost as if it's not all there, so to speak. It allows me to change my form to something...more presentable. Like a human, for instance. I find I prefer using my voice, given my...method of creation. You could say I've been given a few pointers on creating a persuasive argument.*He flashes another one of his smiles* If I were a slave, I'd probably be owned by Imladriscion.Kurnoc is a henchman, who was created from the mouth of the Sorceress after she gave it up to the devil to gain her claim to fame as Supreme Ruler and tyrant over the known kingdoms. The devil was pleased with the Sorceress' use of his gift, her reign full of suffering and despair, and decided to give my character to her to ensure her success over the protagonists in the RP, the Six, and continue her reign, presumably expanding her domain of suffering. He's far a bumbling Igor of a side-kick, almost more of a lieutenant because of the sheer number of people on the other side of the fence in this RP. Commentary, Concept, Spoilers:I tried to envision his character and abilities as the personification of a mouth and what a mouth is capable of. Throw in a touch of the demonic and voila! Kurnoc. This guy is, by design, supposed to be a pain in the a** to deal with. He's a devilspawn, a shadow demon of sorts who takes on the appearance of a large black dragon in the material world. He favors illusion and sound-based abilities, covering areas in magical darkness, producing visions and hallucinations, and using powers of suggestion, mesmerization, and sonic force with his voice. He is supremely overconfident, sadistic, calculating, and cat-like in his love to stalk and toy with his intended target, preferring to separate groups and dispatch them one at a time when he gets bored of playing around. He prefers to keep enemies at a distance, using ambushes, sneak attacks and hit and runs and is usually too vain to bother with the exertions of physical combat - scarcely ever giving enemies a chance at his one, blaring weakness, his arrogance and overconfidence. But he can't resist the opportunity to make a scene and prove he's large and in charge. He is a sucker for suck-ups and will gladly snap up attention and praise he receives from all sources. He's chatty, and loves to study the minds of his targets as he works, taunting, teasing, prodding - a voice in the darkness. When he's out in the open, even in bright daylight his skin appears to crawl, ebbing and flowing like coalesced mist, concentrated shadow. By dusk and morning outlines are difficult to see, direct light hinting at the suggestion of scales. By nightfall he is almost invisible, a massive collection of shadow - outlines are barely visible, hinting at the suggestion of solidity and form. Strong direct moonlight can be treated like Dusk/ Morning. He can shapeshift into any creature, but will always retain his red eyes, when he is human he has a severe face and long, black hair, and is dressed as a nobleman. His relationship with the Sorceress is simple insofar, he is a servant, who is surprisingly loyal and somewhat obedient - often adding his own twists to his Queen's command when he thinks them boring. He realizes he owes his existence to her, and feels some affection for her, which he manifests as best he can realize it, since he was born an incomplete being - thinking, but by and large incapable of many emotions we take for granted. It makes him extremely covetous of the Six and their destined romance, unable to feel it for himself, and turns him excessively violent with the realization that if so much as one of them falls in love it would spell the end of his Queen, his life, his love.
