Hey everyone, listen up!In commemoration of the Victory at Callisto and the remodeling of the city into the Rebellion City of Costa del Sol,
I will be holding a contest in which warriors from all over the world may come and compete!
Call it a tournament, if you like, but the rules are going to be very simple and the
prize will be great!
The
Tournament will be held in
Cid's Battle Arena in the City of Costa del Sol, and contestants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only
sixteen competitors will be given the right to challenge for the title, so you had better register your name soon! How do you register, you ask? Simply show up at Cid's Battle Arena and ask for the Smoking Knight himself, Cid Highwind, and say that you want to enter! Once you've done that, I will enter your name into the list of combatants.
Once we have sixteen, we will randomly draw numbers to see who will do battle against whom, and from there the tournament will begin! (All competitors who are not competing in the Tournament will be asked NOT to post in the Battle Arena forum once the competition begins, but may post in other areas of the city of what they see, if they like.) The Tournament will be
SINGLE-ELIMINATION, so there will be only four rounds until a champion is decided.
The rules of the Tournament are as follows:
1. No killing! (This is for sport...all deathblows should be held in check.)
2. When your opponent is no longer able to fight, gives up, or is knocked from the ring, the battle will stop and a winner will be declared.
3. All fights are one-on-one, and any outside interference will result in a disqualification.
4. Fighters may choose a SINGLE weapon to bring into battle with them, no more and no less. Weapons created by your own energy or magic do not count against you.
5. Fights have NO set time-limit. Just do your best and let's have a winner!
6. Honor your opponents, those in attendance, and most importantly, at all times do your best to honor those who fell in the battle to claim this city.
7. Fight clean, fight hard, and don't hold back! The ring is state of the art, it should hold for the most part.
Now I bet you're all wondering what great prize I might have to offer you, well I tell you now that it is an item of great, mystical power! This
jewel, or rather
crystal, was given to me by the
Mysterious Sage at the outpost in the
Far Eastern lands of Gaia. They say
it has the power to absorb huge quantities of magic, but I can't say that I know entirely whether or not that is true.
Still, you can definitely feel its power grown whenever it's around strong sources of magic!
Well everyone, that's the deal. The Tournament will start as soon as the Brackets are full! Reconstruction is underway, and what better way to bring in the New Age of the Red City than a celebration!
