Nickname: Ari Pippins
Personality: Curious, a bit eccentric.
Things to know: *Very easily excitable.
* Sometimes he comes off as crazy, but don't let that fool you, he's not dangerous. He likes to experiment on things, be them living or not.
* He has never been able to call forth his own Kage, but he has Kou sworn into his servitude for the price of sparing his life.
* He is well practiced in healing magics.
* He lives in a five bedroom, two story farm house, a few miles to the left of the Grasslands in a small farming village. He raises a breeding flock of sheep, mostly for Kou. Any meat he does not need, he trades with his neighbors.
Who am I?: Second son to Marshall Pippins, only surviving male of the Pippin line. He is a bit of a shut in, the veterinarian for the town he lives in, and a Mage in hiding.

Ari was never interested in becoming a veterinarian, though he learned quickly and helped his father out with his work easily enough.

He'd always need a curious boy, and one day while he was rummaging through his grand-nan's attic, he uncovered a secret area under some loose floorboards. Inside this hidden space were books from Mages, forbidden knowledge that his village hated and feared. He stole away with the books, out of the attic and back to his house, where he promptly hide them again.

He spent weeks at a time practicing the spells and learning the secrets written away inside these books, which he put to good use out on the field with his father. Unbeknown to his father, of course. Once he reached four and ten summers, Ari started doing veterinary calls on his own, using the herbal remedies and potions written in the book on the animals he worked on.

Much to his father's surprise, Ari became a very popular boy nearly overnight, his knowledge and power of healing becoming renown in their small town. Until his brother Bran was killed by a Kage attack. Then, again overnight, Ari became withdrawn and shut himself away from the world.

He studied his books, started experimenting with his own potions and spells. He used his healing potions to keep his Nan alive years after she should have passed, and on her death bed he admitted to stealing her books. It was then he learned they were not hers, never hers, and she disowned him with her dying breath.

The shock of her denial of him, and the pain of his abandonment when he'd only done good with his powers, opened his eyes to the terror power like his held for people who could not do them. He did not use the potions to help prolong his fathers life, and his father died without knowing Ari as a terrifying man, only remembering him as his talented and precious child.

After his father's death, Ari retook his place as a Veterinarian, helping his townspeople and their animals to remain healthy and fit with his potions and herbal cures. He is well known for his many tea mixes, which are said to naturally cure a many ailments.

Previous Life:A she-wolf in a small pack from the north. She had no name in the tongue of man, but was known to her pack mates as the scent of acorns and sunlight. The nose spoke her name for them, as it did with all wild creatures, and her howl voiced her strength in its union with the pack.

Her nature made her a follower rather then a leader, so she was never an alpha nor had any aspiration to be. The north breeds for strength, and while her wills and personal opinions were never a strong point, she came to know the strength she was born to. The strength of the pack. Everything she was and everything she had to give, she gave to the pack.

It was during a successful hunt that she came to know death. The elk they had brought down had bellowed til his last breath, a loud and vibrating sound that carried through the night like a war horn. His call for help never drew any friends to his rescue, instead calling a bear from his den to the feast. The pack tried to defend their kill, but much as they had numbers the bear had strength and stamina, where their own was used up from the hunt.

The bear took down two of the pack before he caught the Alpha and she threw herself at the bears maw in an attempt to free him. It worked, but only ended up with her below the enraged animal, her bellow and throat undefended. The rest of her pack scattered, and the bear claimed the elk and her life.

Personality: Peaceful when alone, though easily swayed to violence with pack mentality.
Things to know: Lani yearns to be part of a pack again and does not like being alone for long. She may be easily controlled by someone if she is placed with others that obey them, as she follows the wills and opinions of her companions more then makes her own.
History-
Plots: Homeward Bound- I would like Alayne to find another kage who is stuck in a wolf-pack-like mentality and possibly have them start a kage "pack" together.
Log:A chill in the Air- Alayne wanders around in the cold north, trying to survive a cold night that bears down on the land.
