Located in the center of Midgar, the Shinra Building is the home of the highest ranking members of the Shirna Corporation. Loaded with guards and protected by the entire Shinra Army, no one enters the Shinra Building and escapes without detection.
All levels from the 60th floor up are difficult to navigate due to different puzzles required to get the key. Only those who are in the highest levels of the corporation can get through easily.
Within the building you can find the office of Heidegger and the Turks, Scarlet, and Reeve, as well as Hojo's Laboratory. Each of these play a vital part in the running of Midgar and the Shinra.
On the top level is the office of the President of Shinra Corporation, Rufus Shinra. With a view that overlooks the entire city of Midgar as well as the awesome Mako Cannon, there is no place of higher power in the Shinra than this room.

Leos Klein entered the building, fully meaning to see the man who sat alone at the top of the mighty tower. He had recently been given an order, and he wished to understand the reason. Curiousity wasn't normal of a man of his profession, but this mission held a certain air that Klein couldn't get over. Stepping into the elevator, Klein smirked and ascended to level 60. From here he would have to walk...

Klein returned from his journey with the MAKO report he'd been asked to gather from the Ruined City of Aron and made his way towards the top of the Building. He navigated the top couple of floors until he had finally made his way to the President's office, where he was buzzed in immediately by the secretary.
He entered the office and stood before the desk, looking around to see if anyone else had completed there reports, yet.

Kaworu entered the Shinra Building almost as a shadow, silently and unnoticed by several of the employees. He made his way to the President's office with little trouble, and as he was let in, stood almost silently against the wall until the President would recognize him from behind his great desk.
The MAKO report from the City of the Ancients, the Gem of the Empire, sat completed in his hand.

Behind the great desk in the office of the President sat Rufus, his back turned to the two newcomers. He watched out the window as his own MAKO reactors fueled the entire Floating City of Midgar with its energy, and he smirked, knowing that each watt of energy was money in his own bank.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" he asked, turning around to face the other two. "An entire city under our control, and an entire world soon to be mine. Do you have the MAKO Reports, gentlemen?"

"I have the completed report right here, Rufus," he told the President, placing it on the desk before him. "You were right about Aron. The City itself isn't exactly full of life, but there is an abundant spring in the center of the town which should be used to its fullest. I suggest a single MAKO reactor should be sufficient if you wish to make use of the city."
Kline stepped back, bowing his head slightly with a smirk on his face. "Sir, I must say that your dream is a beautiful one. A world like yours ensures the continued employment of men such as myself, and for that reason, I will continue to serve you with my full support."

Kaworu waited for Kline to finish his report, then stepped forward and placed his on the desk. The readings were printed out and placed inside a manilla folder, paperclipped for easy sorting. "I have done what you asked of me, President Rufus. May I be excused?"
He spoke with the utmost respect, making his abrupt request a bit less presumptuous. "I would like not to trouble you any further."

Rufus smirked as he collected the two reports, setting them to the side of his desk to be picked up by Scarlet, Reeve, and Heidegger later for looking over. "Good work, both of you. This will be most helpful in the spread of the Shinra Corporation's Industrial Empire, and the search for the Promised Land."
He motioned with his hand, releasing both of the others to exit, before turning back around in his chair and gazing off towards the MAKO Reactors once more. 'Soon, my reactors will be in every major city in the world. Everyone will count on the Shinra for their energy, and Midgar, my city, will become the new center of the world,' he smirked again, a cool laugh coming from his lips.
He turned on a classical tune that filled the entire room with its sweet tunes, and to that music Rufus continued to consider his future as the most powerful man in the most powerful company in the world.

Kaworu nodded as Rufus motioned for him to exit, and so he did just that, heading down the stairs to the lower levels. Most people complained about the long trip down from the top of the Shinra Corporation, but for them it was only a 70-floor drop. For himself, however, it would be much further down...through seventy floors, the central support of Midgar, and down to the Geofront that lies below.
This was where the secret NERV section of Shinra was kept, and this was the destination of Kaworu as he stepped onto the secret elevator. He stood silently in the transport, waiting patiently until the time when it would stop, and he would prepare to train with Unit 02 once more. Oddly, he found himself thinking about the City of the Ancients, and the pond as he descended.
He thought about that, and he thought about his friend Onyx. 'The time will come soon enough, and when that time comes, I will make my decision, Onyx,' he thought determinedly. 'I will act according to my own free will.' With that final thought, the elevator disappeared into the dark, hidden region of the city...
The city of Midgar, the city of the Shinra.

The Shinra-type chopper that had recovered Rude from the Northern Caves landed atop the Shinra Building, just outside of Rufus's office. The large Turk leapt from the plane and quickly made his way inside the building, standing silently beside the President's grand desk and awaiting his orders.
He'd written the report on the way back, and the printouts from the MAKO testing should have already been delivered to President Shinra's desk. Now, he waited.

Rude nodded and responded by handing him another report, "A demon, I think he was a wolf type. Everything I know about him is in the report, which isn't enough." The bald man stepped back and stood at the ready, waiting to see what his President would ask of him next.

Rufus nodded and skimmed the report, before placing it on the desk beside him and placing the original reports in a stack with the others for Reeve and the others. "Good work, as always Rude. You're dismissed," he released him with a wave of his hand, but stopped him momentarily. "Rude, have you heard from Reno about his mission?"

"Yes sir, he called me on the way back and said he should arrive near his destination shortly," he answered stoicly, before taking the President's cue and exiting the room. His long day and night was finally over, and Gren's Jazz Bar was calling him once more...

Elena rushed into the office of the President with her report as soon as the chopper landed, and then placed the folder on his desk. He didn't seem to be in at the moment, so she simply left them with his files and made her exit to the lower levels.
She made her way towards the offices of the Turks, hoping that when she was there, she'd meet up with Reno or Rude. Maybe they were back from their missions, too.
