-.:Anfang:.- :.-Beginning-.:
The first of her clan, Anfang considers herself a defender of her kin and companions. She will stand for them and for any cause they convince her of; on the other front she cares little for strangers and their woes. She is quiet for the most part, keeping to her own, though this does not mean she is unwilling to be social if the situation arises. If you approach her with civility and respect, she will return the gesture in kind. If you demand respect and offer none, she'll either dismiss you or bite your face, depending on the level of the transgression.
Her human bond is a hunter, and a recluse, and sends her to do most of the things that require interactions with multiple people. Not likely to be encountered. First mate: Ciocoi, offspring Rehber, Hati, and Skoll Second mate: Fantasia, offspring Idun, Tyr, and Forseti

-.:Hati:.- :.-Who seeks to devour the Moon-.:
Hati and Skoll, while from the same litter, are not technically twins; many mistake them for such though, at least on account of their behavior. They are rarely found separate, at least for very long, and at times can be caught finishing one another's sentences, or performing actions the other had obviously intended to start. While they seem to take turns competing and/or arguing with each other over matters of skill and territory, and then defending themselves and one another against accusations of such, for the most part they simply function in tandem. It makes them frighteningly efficient hunting companions, but that suits the family of hunters they and their mother are bonded to just fine.
Hati is the slightly more loud and playful sibling and is often the one responsible for snatching up something one of the humans is looking for and instigating a game of keep away with it. Skoll, of course, is perfectly happy to participate in the antagonizing activity with him.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

Skoll is the slightly more stubborn and aggressive of the two, and usually the one to bite first if there's going to be a physical confrontation. This occurs between the brothers as often as with outsiders, though Hati is never far behind Skoll in joining the fray. And aside from a few bite and claw marks, when the brothers are done fighting they'll act as if nothing at all just happened.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

-.:Midgard:.- :.-The rock of Mortality-.:
Midgard is large for a Neverlin but can fairly easily be fitted into the "gentle giant" category. Friendly but fairly quiet, and forever practical, he is more likely to be used as a perch or a jungle gym by energetic youth or the more flighty and bouncy personalities of the Kage world. He is ever a defender though, and once provoked bears far more resemblance to a Kodiak than a teddy bear.
His human is a hunter, older brother of Anfang's human, and a bit less reclusive when opportunity knocks. Still not often seen in public, however.I could see him being easily charmed by a pretty face, fall in love, and being heartbroken when he found out it wasn't a permanent thing. I could see this happening repeatedly with different kage... or the same one, even. He's too much of a romantic and perpetually forgiving to hate anyone over breaking his heart, and hold out hope that they might return his love some day. Maybe he'll stumble into a mate eventually, but under that context flings are fine. Also, I think he prefers females, not excusively, but very heavily. First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

-.:Freyr:.- :.-Who Bestows Peace and Pleasure-.:
Freyr is a shameless flirt, but while he's not particularly keen on monogamy any mate he takes he will treat with affection and occasional tiny gifts for the rest of the time he knows them. Whether or not someone is willing to be part of the network of lovers he roams around is another question.
But even if one isn't keen on responding to his advances, he makes a remarkably good counselor and sounding board. Many have been taken aback by his willingness to listen seriously to another's problems after seeing how nonchalantly he seems to treat life.
His sage insights into life are less surprising when you meet his scholar-bond, a man who saved him from starvation and frozen discomfort. Middle-aged and arthritic, the man rarely leaves his home, so such a meeting might not be a common occurance.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

-.:Fafnir:.- :.-Not the Poison of His Namesake-.:
While Fafnir does have a bit of a true dragon's knack for finding treasures and guarding them jealously, he's generally not a bad sort if you get to know him. He can be a little bit on the prideful side when confronted by non-temporal Kage outside of his family, his love, respect, and habit of guarding said family kind of like he does his other kind of treasure has tempered him a bit in that regard.
Still, his need to actually consume life energy from other Kage gives him a tendency to descend on lone Kage from above and pin them down long enough for a "snack". He'll give them a cuddle and a lick and say "Sorry, I was hungry," afterward... but a great many of the non-familial Kage around where he lives regard him with a wary sort of irritation. His utter lack of malice keeps anyone from truly fearing him... but not from him getting himself in trouble.
Due to his particular energy diet needs, Fafnir does not have a human that he is bonded to, although the ones that live near those his non-temporal family members are bonded to have gotten more or less used to seeing a small dragon wandering around and occasionally making a nuisance of himself.First Mate: Harika, Offspring: Kaos, Valkyrie

-.:Yggdrasil:.- :.-The World Tree-.: Although the average Golem Kage is large compared to the flesh-and-blood breeds, Yggy is unusually short... or rather, a lot closer to the size of most other Kage. If she's even aware of this fact, though, she doesn't seem bothered. In spite of being mute she is always energetic and normally cheerful. Little Yggy seems to be everyone's friend, and has been known to try and befriend both Priestly and Hell Kage... at the same time. She simply seems to love everyone, for good or ill.
She looks up to her "Papa Mizhak" both literally and figuratively. The Elder Golem (played by Lural) is equally mute, and quite gentle; at least with her. She has learned from him by observation and trial and error to "snack" on the ambient life energy of the things around her without killing everything she comes in contact with, and so does not respond to human commands. Not any more than she would from anyone else who isn't Mizhak, anyway. It's probably for the best, since Yggy's inability to understand that she's not supposed to be friends with everyone would make her horrible at actually fulfilling the usual Golem role of being a guardian.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

-.: Dachion:.- :.-The Brute-.:
Dach is arrogant, competetive, sarcastic, and lazy. If challenged to a feat of strength, he will attempt to prove himself better to the point of injuring himself over it if he can't. If challenged to a verbal jousting match he can throw insults all day. Challenge him to a battle of intellect? He'll say it's boring, ignore you, and go take a nap. He's not exactly stupid; in a survival smarts and understanding emotional motivations sort of way he's actually fairly intelligent. But if you start asking him to solve puzzles or pursue scholarly pursuits he's not really the brightest bulb in the box, and he finds it boring besides.
He can be fairly sweet though, in his somewhat abrasive fashion, and for all that he gets his kicks from insulting people, stealing pies and trinkets out of open windows, and finding ways to show everyone else up, when push comes to shove he'll stand up for what he thinks is right over what is easier or more convenient to ignore.
His original human bond was the mage who summoned him, and Dach isn't even entirely sure what side of the conflict between the factions of the Neverlin Magi he was on. But he treated Dach like dirt and forced him to fight when he was told, no matter what sort of shape Dach was in. He was too powerful for Dach to disobey without unpleasant consequences, so for a long time the brute of a Kage was stuck. Finally the mage grew over-confident and picked a fight he couldn't win and Dach was freed. This left him with the problem of not having a reliable source of life energy however...
Then he met Bryna Iselas, apprentice baker of her family's small bakery, in a small town that was close enough to the woods that when she was making a trip back from the nearest town the path followed the edge of it. Her mule decided it needed a break and stopped, and in the process of trying to coax it forward again she tripped over herself... and landed on Dach, who was more than half starved. Without thinking he drained her energy - enough to knock her unconscious. He felt obligated to watch over her until she woke, and was rather startled that she was both willing to listen to his explanation and able to get it out of him in the first place. That she wasn't mad at him was another big surprise... and then she offered to make him a pie if he helped her get home, since she'd lost a lot of time by that point. And he basically... just didn't leave.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/ADach has some fanart! By saedusk: Full Size Image

-.:Nos'olas:.- :.-Finding No Solace but to Perservere-.:
This child is convinced that she must be able to defeat any and all Hell Kage, or any other evil-doer she is called upon to battle. She is also afflicted with a perpetual belief that she is not strong enough to accomplish this goal. Perpetually attempting to train herself to be stronger mentally and physically, and forever pestering her parents for further knowledge so she knows better how to accomplish her goals. This little one simply doesn't know when to stop, forever pushing herself to become more than what she is in the hope that one day she can prove even to herself that she is good enough to be what she thinks she needs to be.
This does not mean she never takes a break though, for Nos'olas has a soft heart even if her will is made of iron. She has a gentle side that is, for the time being, reserved for the times she spends relaxing with her family. She wants them to know her affection for them, and makes certain she shows them that she cares... even taking time away from her training to help them if they request it of her.
Being a Priestly she doesn't need to feed on much life energy and has no human of her own, instead asking what little she needs from those her family already protects. She is dedicated solely to her family and her ideals.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

-.: Dis:.- :.-Spirit Blessed by the Ancient Phoenix-.:
Shy and mostly quiet, though she'll talk when someone converses with her first. She seems leery of males in general, and some females, and for the most part tries to keep a few feet of distance between herself and others. She gets flustered and eventually agitated when anyone, but especially males, seem intent on getting closer to her than she's comfortable with. She usually endeavors to remain polite, but if they keep pushing she will eventually snap; though whether that involves actual snapping, or just nervous yelling, or bursting into tears might be subjective to the situation and her mood. She also seems fairly oblivious to the intent behind someone's words and actions when they're hitting on her... and often confused by it.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

-.:Shinzui:.- :.-The Guide of Lost Souls-.:
Laid back, and more than a little bit "out there" at times. Shinzui often sees spirits even outside of the spirit world, and while they're rarely keen on actually talking back, he'll often sit and converse with them for a spell. This might seem peculiar to any around him that realize what he's doing, because for all intents and purposes he seems to be talking to thin air.
He's often seen with the golems Yggdrasil and Mizhak (Lural). Them being mute effects his ability to understand them and enjoy their company very little, after all. He also likes have a shady lounge spot on Mizhak's back that he can relax in and still get places, too.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

-.:Idun:.- :.-Ever Young-.:
Idun seems to have never grown out of her childish sense of wonder... or sense of humor. Fun-loving and a bit of a light-hearted prankster, Idun is quick equally quick to tease and charm, and always ready to share the joy of a simple moment. She's also more than just a bit of a flirt; promiscuity seems to run in the family, and Idun has embraced it whole heartedly. Don't assume she's a push-over though, romantically or otherwise. She's harder to set off than her mother, Anfang, but she also inherited the family temper.
Like several of her family members she is attached to the hunter-clan family of the man who earned Anfang's bond.First Mate: N/A, Offspring: N/A

-.:Jotunheim:.- :.-From the Land of Giants-.:
One of the larger specimens of Golem-kind, Jotun is exceptional as his duties as a guardian and soldier. He seems a bit of a stick in the mud at first impression, mostly because he takes his duties very seriously. When not "on the job" his rather dry sense of humor comes out, though he is still a soldier at heart and used to adults and military personnel, and very awkward with children, or those who seem eternally youthful at heart. (Like Yggy.)
