Warriors of the Red City

Benitora (Wandering Warrior of Costa del Sol)
A wanderer who has made his way to Costa del Sol for the Tournament, Benitora is a warrior who fights for honor and but denies his own heritage. In fact, the name Benitora is a name he gave himself when he discarded his own family name. Oddly enough, he wields a spear of great power...one of the five true Muramasa...that can only be wielded by members of his family's bloodline. His skill is admirable and his weapon's power is great, giving him the ability to launch the dreaded Seven Shadow Thrust. Unfortunately, because he denies his heritage, his weapon's power does not always work for him...and each successful use causes a piece of his soul to be sucked into the cursed weapon.  

[Vicious Crow]

Status: Leader of the Red Dragon Syndicate

Prize for Victory: Red Dragon's Honor (With his fall, Vicious's control of the Red Dragon Syndicate becomes that of the victor's.), ""Fluminis Cruor" aka "Flowing Blood" (The sword of the Red Dragon Leader, is so strong that it can scarcely be scuffed by even the most powerful adversary. Is so lightweight that its attacks cannot be sensed or predicted or anticipated in any normal sense. Pierces defenses like a hot knife through butter, and grows more powerful when it touches blood.)

Hair: Silver-grey
Eyes: Grey, but they change color to blue, lavender, and black, depending on the lighting
Weapon of choice: A katana, although he also owns a handgun (a Colt) and is skilled with it and with a number of other weapons, too.
Bio: Very little is known about Vicious, and nothing about his past. Even his real name is a mystery. What we know of him comes from his actions, as he actually says very little. From what is known, he's an important leader in the crime syndicate, the Red Dragons, to which Spike once belonged. It is fairly certain that he was once Julia's lover and that he and Spike were once close friends, working for the Red Dragons as a team, and some know that he served in the military on Titan. Other than that, there is only speculation, although most believe that Vicious became Spike's enemy when Spike decided to leave the syndicate, taking Julia with him.

That he's Spike's enemy is not only never in doubt, but is an understatement. At times he seems to want only two things in life: to run the syndicate and to kill Spike with his own hands.

Vicious is an almost frighteningly cold-hearted man with a quiet, emotionless voice. He is described by the Red Dragon leaders as a snake, an epithet he likes. He is also power-hungry and completely ruthless. (Whether he was born this way or whether he became that way after Spike's and Julia's betrayal is, again, a matter for speculation.) Vicious is also skilled and fast in any kind of combat. He's intelligent and able to make long-term plans and carry them through, even if they involve sacrifice and pain for him. During the series, he is always alone ~ even when accompanied by minions, he stands apart from them. He has no loyalties and no beliefs ("There is nothing in this world to believe in."). He isn't cruel in the ordinary sense, but rather seems to have absolutely no conscience or feelings of any kind. He can be admired for his courage and for what he can accomplish, but he's also one of the most fearsome villains ever to grace the world.  

[Z. Kimbley]

Status: Crimson Alchemist

Prize for Victory: Incomplete Philosopher's Stone (A crimson stone that increases physical stats and alchemic powers dramatically, created and powered by the souls of the dead.)
Weapon of Choice: Twin transmutation-circles on his palms.

Bio: Kimbley is a man who just never seems to go away. Once a soldier and an alchemist employed in the military in his homeland, he was convicted of killing his superior officers and disobeying orders from the military and sentenced to death. Fortunately for him, he was kept alive for some time in a secret laboratory, until his chance to escape came...at which time, he immediately made his move and escaped.

Eventually, Kimbley joined a group known as the Devil's Nest Gang, headed by the homunculus (created human) Greed...but betrayed them, to the death of several of his former partners. This made him a target of many, but caught the eye of a high ranking military officer who re-employed him. For the rest of his time, he served the military doing what he loved...destroying and killing everyone he could...until the day he "died".

Now in the service of the Empire and the Red Dragon Syndicate, Kimbley is a nihlist whose faith in the human race is nonexistant. In fact, their only use and purpose in his eyes lies in their chemical makeup...which he alters to create his special "bombs". Though he is a bit demented and certainly evil, Kimbley recognizes and even embraces this fact. There is no question that he enjoys killing, and his only real passion seems to lie in causing those beautiful explosions.

As a player, Kimbley's general lack of regard for human life, including his own, makes him a very dangerous foe. Though little is known about his tendencies in style or skill, one would have to guess that with a reputation like the one he carries, he is someone not to be trifled with.  

[The Ultimate Greed]

Status: Homunculus Leader of the Devil's Nest Gang

Prize for Victory: Incomplete Philosopher's Stones (The food of the Homunculus. Crimson stones that increase physical stats and alchemic powers dramatically, created and powered by the souls of the dead.)
Weapon of Choice: "The Ultimate Shield", or his true body

Bio: Greed is, just as his name implies, someone who wants it all. He was born when, sometime in the past, an alchemist attempted a human transmutation and failed.

Greed can generally be found hanging around the Devil's Nest, a bar in Callisto, and the hideout for his gang. While because of his greed he wants to own everything, he is suprisingly lax and hard to anger. Also, due to the sin he represents, he is at odds with the rest of the Homunculus, most likely because he would rather be immortal and perfect than serve the leader of the seven.

Greed's body is indestructable under normal circumstances, and this has lent to his cocky attitude. Never the less, the other Homunculus disfavored him and managed to seal him away for 140 years. He was freed, however, when Kimbley destroyed the seal on Greed's chamber escaping from Laboratory 5. The other homunculus, wanting rather to destroy him than let him be, at last gathered the bones of the person he was made after, and used them to weaken him. Refusing to surrender and eventually be imprisoned again, Greed urged Edward Elric into battle and was killed at last when Edward used Alchemy to change the density of the carbon in his body, making him vulnerable to his attack.

Although that was apparently the end of Greed, he has since returned here in Callisto. He "serves" Vicious so far as not to desire to fight against him, and it is generally assumed that if he was aware of Kimbley's presence, who betrayed him long ago, he would want to kill him.

As a player, Greed's lack of desire to fight makes many think he'd be an easy opponent. Those who challenge him, however, would learn soon that his title of "The Ultimate Shield" is not just for show, and that as a homunculus he appears to have no sense of mercy.  

[The Sin of Pride]

Prize for Victory: The Ultimate Eye (Allows the user to see attacks forming from the most basic level, and in turn, disrupt them before they can be used with a swift, well-placed swipe of the saber Note: Must be a small sword or saber.)

Weapon of choice: A specialized Saber that can be used to disrupt energy, magic, and other forms of attack before they can form by slashing them at their origin.
Bio: While the City lives in the Shadow of the Syndicate, it is also governed by a powerful and ruthless military body known as the "State Military". As governor of the city of Callisto and leader of the State Military, Bradley has quickly risen through the ranks and claimed the ultimate title of "Fuhrer King". At this office, he commands the military with near-complete autonomy and rules the city.

The only thing within the city which seems to run without his influence is the Red Dragon Syndicate, which strangely seems to be allowed to operate by its own will without military interference. Some suspect that some members of the military might be in league with the Syndicate, and Bradley has secretly given orders to some of his most trusted members to begin an investigation into this...

Fuhrer Bradley lives in the center of the city in a fine mansion with his child and wife, and seems to be a fine general and gentleman. Underneath the amiable front, however, is a powerful and cunning general who perceives far more than one might think him capable of.
