There are few means of entrance to the city controlled by the Red Dragons, but one way is to land a ship at the docks on the eastern side of town. The Docks are one of the few areas, like Moroccan Street, that is rarely patrolled by the dogs of the Syndicate. More often than not, when an outsider wants to enter the city, it is done so here.
This has lead to the docks becoming somewhat of an unofficial battleground at times with the Red Dragons meeting those who might oppose them. It is not uncommon for members of the Syndicate who are challenging an opposing member to a fight or a duel to extend an invitation to the docks. Battles here are usually one-on-one, and held rather fairly. That is, for the more honorable members of the Syndicate...

Greed walked out onto the dock, looking around to make sure no one was there. Once he was sure, he smirked and blew a loud whistle. Out from under the dock suddenly came what appeared to be a rock: but it wasn't a rock, it was a rock lobster. "There you are. It's about time now, isn't it? Once we get our orders, you and I are gonna take this whole world for a spin." Greed smirked, patting the top of the chimera.

The STAI came to a slow, grinding halt when the Docks of the Red City finally came into view. It would be here that the fortress would hover as an intimidating gatekeeper to one of the strongest military cities of the Magic Empire. And at the helm was none other than the soon to be reinstated into the military, Zolf J. Kimbley.
He laughed at the irony. "Heh, just like old times, right Greed? Bet you're dying to see what I do next..."

Greed sneered at the remark, knowing what he ment. "Don't you worry, I'll have my eyes on you this time. The military's all well and good, but a member of the Devil's Nest must think of us first; I let you forget that once, but this time I can assure you that if you thought of betraying us you'd regret it. Besides, I've got a little ace up my sleeve..." Greed grinned, knowing that Kimbley had no real intention of betraying him this time. Never the less, his point had to stand clear...

"Good, then. That makes this much more interesting," Kimbley smirked, before standing from the controls of the fortress. "I have to report to the Fuhrer now and accept my reinstatement into the military. You can do what you want, I'll be back later," he told the homunculus, before stepping out of the room and heading to the Headquarters of the Military in Callisto.

Greed sighed, seeing Kimbley go. "I never know where he stands...but hey, that's what I get for working with the "Crimson Alchemist"." Greed stepped away from the STAI, deciding to go relax at the Devil's Nest before the guard came to arm the fortress.

The Docks were strangely quiet after the two dogs of the military had left, and perhaps, it was too quiet. A darkness swirled atop the massive STAI fortress, and a chilling voice rang out on the air.
"What a shoddy repair job, eh Kai?" the voice mocked, noticing the hole created by Kimbley back in Aron. The cloaked warrior glanced to his side, taking note of his partner before leaping down the hole and into the unmanned fortress's control center...

"Have you seen the paintjob? Tacky..." Kai lept down in the hole after Tala, and walked towards the control room. Some idiots, leaving the security system off without any guards behind...
"Where is the generator?" Kai asked Tala, knowing that his partner had memorized the map before they had began...

Tala kept walking, a slight incline of his head the only indication he had heard his partner's question. The corridors echoed quietly with each footstep he took, and the mist that surrounded him grew more intense as they entered the darker recesses of the fortress...
"We're here," he said simply, knocking the door off its hinges with little difficulty and stepping away from the vital core of the fortress. At the tip of his finger, a ball of reddish-orange energy began to pulsate and swirl...

Kai nodded, raising his hand and letting a blue wave of energy eminate around his hand. In a moment he released it, destroying the control room and going further, into the circitry...
"Lets go. I'd hate to be stuck inside when this thing falls on the city." Kai turned, starting to walk back down the hallway they had come from. The other cities relied on their machinery, and their weapons, but the Abbey...
"We rely on our strength, alone. That's what makes us number one."

Tala released his blast, the detonation spreading in the opposite direction of his partner's to ensure the base's complete destruction. He listened to Kai's voice and nodded, a smirk of satisfaction on his lips. "These fools won't know what hit them," he added as he followed his partner back towards the exit.
If Abbey had not made its presence known in this struggle, this would surely put them on the map. Now if only Tala could obtain a Dragon Aura as Kai had...

Kai pulled the glowing orb from his pocket, looking at it thoughtfully. It was strange that this small thing had such power...but it seemed that was what it would take to make their dreams realized, and he was intent on getting another soon so that Tala could think likewise.
"We had best get out of here. I don't think our fireworks will go unnoticed, and I hear they have a specialist in that department..." Kai stepped out of the hole at last, looking towards the city. "Kimbley, they called him. Seems he has a list of ill-deeds as long as yours. No offense, of course." Kai turned, looking at his partner. They both did things that were neccessary in order to complete their goals, and their one rule was not to regret a minute of it.

Kimbley reached the Docks as the fortress had just begun to crash land in the water...much to his relief, the thing had not fallen in the direction of the buildings. 'Not that I would not mind the fireworks, but such things are not exactly conducive to job security...' he thought as he glanced out towards the wreckage of the once powerful STAI. Unfortunately, the thing was indeed crashing...so whether or not it landed on the city might not be of consequence before long.
Kimbley growled angrily...somebody was going to pay for this. And no sooner had he scanned the crashing fortress than it was that he spotted two lone figures atop the building near the control center. 'Them!' His eyes widened dramatically, his expression going from disbelief to madness.
Readying his alchemic materials and checking his transmutation circles, Kimbley touched the dirt below him, using the reaction to create a whirlwind to lift him into the sky in the direction of the intruders.

Tala chuckled and nodded to his partner, remembering what he had heard about this 'Crimson Alchemist'. "Right," he replied blandly, as he prepared to make his exit. As he did, however, he noticed the whirlwind that was fast approaching them over the water. "Speak of the devil," the dark blader thought ironically, stopping in his tracks.
He knew they should be leaving even faster now, but...curiosity was getting the better of him. "What do you think, Kai? Care to meet this guy?"

Kai nodded, seeing the whirlwind. "Why not...if all the rumors are true, I still don't think we've got anything to fear from him. But I suggest we do something about our meeting place..." Kai spoke, looking down. They still stood on the side of the STAI, and the ground was fast approaching.
