However, luck was not on his side as a passing guard heard the commotion. Startled, the unknown assailant threatened to kill Mizuki should he not be allowed to escape. As if to prove his resolve, he slowly drew his knife across the child's neck, drawing blood. The alarm now raised stirred others within the castle and the room soon filled with guards who attempted to take the dark man into custody. He managed to escape in the ensuing scuffle, but not before making an ominous threat on the child's life, stating that their peace would soon end.
Upon hearing this recounting, the Queen and King began implementing measures to ensure their kingdom's and family's safety. The number of guards increased significantly throughout the castle and kingdom, while a heavy focus fell on expanding the military might even further. And so it went that Mizuki and her family remained guarded at all times. No longer could Mizuki run about the gardens without someone directing her to stay in a certain area. No longer could she speak to the passersby without guards descending upon them and ushering her back inside. A point which she tended to rebel against whenever the mood struck.
And so things have stayed since that day. The Queen has continued to advance the military prowess of the Water Kingdom while the King remains the greatest presence in the castle. Mizuki has grown into a young woman, training in every skill she could, and diligently studying her lessons planned out for her. Her prowess with elemental manipulation has improved dramatically to the point that, under her grandmother's tutelage, she has become proficient in the healing arts in addition to multiple forms of combat. Despite the love and support of her family, the confines of the palace walls have grown oppressive in recent years. She has grown tired of the rules and formalities, of the daily lessons and routines, and tired of the fear that the shadowman- as her father put it- might try to steal her away again. So whenever she is able, Mizuki tends to sneak out of the castle from time to time, dragging along her most trusted guard and friend to wander about the kingdom. She does this in part to challenge the shadowman, to show him she is not afraid of him, and partially to take a more hands-on approach in learning of the kingdom she will one day rule. Her dream for continued peace at the forefront of her mind.
Personality: Mizuki tends to act childish and rash at times. Although she has outbursts of emotions, she is more recognized for her energy and boisterous demeanor. People have said that Mizuki is a very kind and naive individual who has a loving nature, which probably explains why animals are drawn to her and why she makes friends easily. Mizuki cares deeply for those around her and has a habit of taking action without thinking things through when she sees someone in trouble.

Underwater Breath- Mizuki is capable of breathing within water easily. This ability allows her to remain submerged underwater for extended periods of time, without receiving any ill effects. However, she must eventually come up for air or risk drowning like anyone else. The maximum time she can remain underwater is 2 hours and she cannot utilize this power in tainted, unclean bodies of water.
Yosojutsu: Healing- Her inherent gift with water is strong enough to where she is able to use it the element to heal nearly any injury or malady. Though, depending on the severity of the problem, she can overexert herself and become fatigued to the point of immobility, sometimes even unconsciousness.
Water Cloak- Mizuki can encase her body in a cloak of water. It is undetectable to the naked eye or even to the touch, acting as a second skin of sorts. It is usually only utilized in fights where fire is being used as it provides a greater resilience against the opposing element. Fire can eventually harm her, but it takes an intense amount of heat and time to do so. While the cloak is strong against most elements, it does possess a weakness against sharp weapons and electricity. Things such as blades, arrows, and spears can pierce through the protection of the cloak to inflict harm.
Yosojutsu: Combat- Mizuki is proficient in elemental combat, being able to manipulate water, ice, and occasionally snow to do her bidding on a second's notice.
