Welcome to the main competition of Project Catwalk, where you can immerse yourself in our current cycle!
Everyone is invited to join in the fun we have during the competition, regardless of their guild role, or the part they play in the on-going cycle. So, in whatever way, please consider staying with us a while, if only just to watch the contest unfold. At Project Catwalk, you are among friends!
This guild is a safe space for all, where we encourage our patrons to get involved wherever they feel comfortable enough to do so.
Our guild members are urged to participate in any and all opportunities Project Catwalk provides, whether that means competing in mini contests, engaging in group discussions, or maybe even securing a coveted spot as a Designer in the main competition!
To our cycle Designers, we hope you feel at home in here, as this thread will be like your creative studio and workshop throughout the duration of your time competing. And to our loyal spectators, we anticipate that you will be thoroughly entertained (and perhaps even inspired) with the works of art created by our cycle competitors.

► To see what this competition looks like in its entirety, visit the Archives subforum ► You must have guild notices enabled, or at least check them regularly for contest updates ► Do not post anything but challenge submissions in this thread — no chatting
► Hopeful participants must first apply for the cycle by submitting an audition — no exceptions ► The Auditions thread is only open for a limited time, and cannot be reopened once closed ► Winning candidates will be PM'd, and must accept their cycle offer before the deadline passes
► Entries must include: Designer & Model names, outfit title, description, and submission status ► Frequently missed or lacking submissions may rarely result in double eliminations ► Designers' overall challenge score doesn't always determine who wins or who gets eliminated ► Top Designers get the choice of keeping their Model, or switching it for the eliminated Model
► The top three cycle Designers may not audition for the next competition cycle ► Cycle finalists have priority (in placement order) to judge or mentor in the following cycle

Head Judge: bad wolf bae Judge 2: Detrimentum Judge 3: Picaru Judge 4: ThoughtsofaDame
Challenge #1: You’re A Gem Designers, welcome to your first challenge for Cycle 7! To help us get to know you better, you’re going to dress your model up as your birthstone. You can make them the embodiment of the birthstone, you can just dress them as the colors, draw inspiration from the season, etc. But the judges shouldn’t be left guessing what your birthstone is. Bring your personality out! Give us some fun facts! This is a challenge to get personal on. heart
Due: August 23rd Challenge #2: They See Me Rollin’ Designers, you’ve survived the first challenge! For this week you have a world of possibilities and freedom at your fingertips! You can go for any theme, style, color, time period you want. However, you must include a transportation item in the look. Now how you interpret transportation is up to you, but I’ve included some guides here and here to help get you started. For this challenge we’re going to say that the transportation you use can’t be alive and should have at least two wheels. Have fun!
Due: September 6th
Challenge #3: You’ve Got A Friend In Me Designers, we’ve seen our first elimination and now the competition should be feeling real. This week we’re asking you to dust off your boots and give us a cowgirl look! From the Pink Pony Club to the rodeo, there is a lot of directions to take this challenge. Throw on some Shania Twain (or Beyonce!) and let your inspiration take hold. This should read cowgirl though. Country. Think dirty boots and plaid, cows and horses. Fringe. Denim. Good luck, designers!
Due: September 20th
Challenge #4: 9 To 5 Designers, what did you want to be when you grew up? It’s one of the first questions we’re asked as kids, and the answers tend to change a lot. At different times of my life I wanted to be a marine biologist, an explorer, an actor, and a billionaire that opens a park of dinosaurs. While the last could still happen, I’ve given up on most of the others. This week we want you to think about what your dream job is, or what your model’s dream job is, and dress them up appropriately. They can have whatever job you want, but it should be clear that they’re working, and not look like they’re wearing a costume.
Due: October 4th
Challenge #5: She’s An Icon Designers, welcome to the fifth challenge! This week we want to pay homage to the women that shaped us. That helped raise many of us and guided us through some of life’s difficulties. They’re there for us when we need a laugh, or need a cry. Some of them were our first crushes! I’m talking about cartoon women, of course! You may pick whatever cartoon icon you want this week, but they must be female or female presenting, and you need to include a picture of them with your submission. Your model is going to become this character this week. You can’t change their features, but go all in otherwise. Choose icons that suit your model. Good luck!
Due: October 18th
Challenge #6: We’re Cursed Designers, this week for the first leg of your double header we’re going a little…darker. Each of you have been assigned to one of the ten plagues of Egypt - seen below - and you are going to embody that plague. We should be afraid of your models this week. Now some of these are very similar (lice and flies for example) so find ways to make sure your plague stands out.
Water to Blood: nenone Frogs Everywhere: John Dust to Lice: kaekie Swarms of Flies: Endless Endeavors Fallen Livestock: immortaljelly Curse of Boils: lucifer eats pizza Hail Storms: SoggykittenART Swarms of Locusts: torimani Three Days of Darkness: xXAcid_FreeXx Fall of the First Born: nyphente
Challenge #7: All On Red Designers, for the second part of this double header we’re giving you more freedom. The category is…in the red. Like on a budget line. This time around you will dress your models in red, but you have to list the items used and the total budget of the entry can not exceed 50,000P. Your base features are not included in this, neither are nose mods - especially if you've been using the same one this entire cycle. But everything else is fair game, including arm and leg mods. Be very mindful on every piece of the look and if it is necessary.
