This thread is reserved for Eirinae Natenhar to RP with, and maintain a diary for, her Silva Regia Fey, Pappila. Thank you to Anya! for her permission to use her diary concept. DO NOT POST HERE UNLESS YOU ARE SPECIFICALLY INVITED TO BY Eirinae! Violators will be reported to a moderator.

Background: The daughter of the Sun Court Magician, Pappila may be the best hope to reinforce the castle's magical defenses! She was a mere year old when the curse struck. She was the 11th Fey freed from the curse, and already shows great magical potential.

Personality: Obsessed with magic in all it's forms, Pappila is 100% an intellectual, brilliant even at a very young age. She finds learning information to be easy for her, and she finds the magical arts to be a natural obsession. To her magic is more important than anything else, and if it can't be done with magic, it probably is not worth doing. She can get lost for hours in contemplating magical theory, or reading up on history.

1 - If you wish to drop off a gift, and you are Kithain... Please deliver all gifts for Pappila to her room in some fashion. Of course if you see Pappila out and about, feel free to give her gifts 'in person'.

2 - If you wish to drop off a gift, and you are not Kithain... You will need to remember that you cannot post in this thread unless you are a guild member. Please PM your gift to me, and I will be happy to post it for you. IC (In Character) deliveries are always appreciated, and I will be sure to post whatever you typed out for your PM in Pappila's Chambers for you. If you are roleplaying the presentation of your gift, also remember that you cannot enter Tir Nan Og unless you are Kithain. As a result, I suggest you roleplay leaving the gift for Eirnae to find in front of her family's cottage. Note that the cottage is surrounded by a forest of cherry blossom trees that never stop blooming, and that you will need to have prior knowledge of its location to go there (like a map).

3 - If you want to visit with Pappila, and you are Kithain... Just PM me, and we'll work out a good time for your Fey or even just yourself to have a roleplay session with Pappila.

4 - If you want to visit with Pappila, and you are not Kithain... I'm afraid you will need to introduce yourself to her Kithain first, as when she is not in Tir Nan Og and out in Gaia, she is often with Eirnae herself..

The following are Pappila's adopted aunts and uncles, who were kind enough to aid me in becoming her Kithain with their much appreciated donations:

Diamond_Gaze, Draconayzia, Galazios, Kaekia, Neith-Kia, Pink Lemonade, Prolixity, Yuumei Tenshi

Name: Pappila
Apparent Age: Fifteen
Birthday: August 8th (At least it is treated as her birthday)
Past Family: Ortus (Father), Unknown (Mother)
Present Family: Eirnae Slytherin-Natenhar (Kithain - very fond), Lenore Slytherin-Natenhar (Eirnae's Fiance' - has not met), Alimus (Eirnae's Companion, Father Figure - has not met), Lucius (Lenore's Companion, Father Figure - has not met), Shina (Older Sister - has not met), Nyoka (Older Sister - has not met), Vinyn (Older Sister - has not met), Arlath (Older Sister - has not met), Damien, (Younger Brother - has not met), Ernia (Younger Sister - has not met), Itzel (Younger Sister - has not met)

Marital Status: Single
Sexual Preference: Hasn't really thought about it...
Prospects: See above

Likes: The feel of paper and/or papyrus, reading for both entertainment and research, conducting magical experiments, observing others, discovering new things, stretching out her legs and wings in the great outdoors, instructing others when they ask it of her, anything that radiates magic, daylight
Dislikes: Weapons of any sort, not being allowed to have a book and/or tome on her person, not being allowed to have a wand or magical trinket on her person, displays of what she deems stupidity from those she feels should be at least moderately intelligent, being disturbed when she is deeply concentrating on what she is doing, darkness

Favorite Color: Blue, though she leans towards royal blue over other types
Favorite Animal: She doesn't seem to have a favorite, choosing to study them all equally. If she has a favored type of living creature it would be the butterfly, as she is gaining quite the collection.
Favorite Scents: Honey, flower nectar, any sweet smelling flower (Though roses seem especially pleasing to her), parchment, paper, drying or dried ink
Hated Scents: Cooking or cooked meat, dust, mold
Favorite Food: Honey or flower nectar spread on lightly toasted potato bread accompanied by a cup of elderberry tea with a spoonful of flower nectar stirred in slowly
Hated Food: Any type of meat, as Pappila seems to be a complete vegetarian

Personality: Upon reaching teenhood, however abruptly, Pappila has taken to diving into her studies, as she calls them. She feels it is her duty to continue from where her father left off, though I believe that she hopes to surpass him in both magical aptitude as well as knowledge. I have started to collect more and more magic ingrediants for her, and every time I leave Tir Nan Og I usually have what I have started to call 'item scrolls', because they are often far too long to be just called shopping lists. She is aware of my budget, as well as the fact that I have family outside of Tir Nan Og, and has thus far made an effort to be considerate of both.

In regards to her take on social behaviour, Pappila has an assortment of reactions based on my observations, which can be sorted into four main categories. First, you have folk she does not know very well. Pappila tends to remain quiet around these folk, often choosing to open up a book and busy herself with it. Then there are those she is fairly acquainted with, who she treats with polite respect as far as returning their greetings and goodbyes, as well as listening when they wish to discuss something. If they choose to not address her, Pappila will direct her attention to something or someone else unless she is engaged in a group setting, in which she will pay attention to who is conversating at that moment. The third category applies to those she is truly fond of, and these folk are those she really opens up around. She becomes animated, more than willing to chatter for hours on end. Casual touches, hugs, kisses on the cheek, all are possible with those she has deemed friends. The last category handle folk she doesn't respect. Pappila does not impress me as being a spiteful Fey, and thus has yet to 'hate' anyone. However, she does hold a certain disregard against individuals for their lack of intelligence or simply for their past displays of bad manners. To these folk she tries to remain civil, but will not take time out of her day to converse with them. Polite exchanges of greetings and farewells? Yes. Conversation? No.

History: Pappila has promised that she and I will have a long talk about her past, now that she is old enough to do so.

This chart was taken from Muris's journal, and is to the credit of Shiaree.

After a lot of cleaning up, Pappila's room revealed a simple while elegant charm, which I've tried to enhance instead of alter. The dilapidated rugs were removed immediately, as well as the curtains. The walls and floors were scrubbed, the windows carefully cleaned, and the furniture removed to be made into kindling. If Pappila were old enough to speak, I am sure she would have protested, as the look on her face was not a happy one during the whole process. However, once it was finished she insisted on entering the then empty room to critique my work with calculating eyes. I assume I got her approval, as she ran over and hugged my leg once she got her fill of checking each nook and cranny.

Then came the replacing of the bed, bureau, and writing desk. Pappila chose a deep cherry wood for her new furniture, showing a love for the darkly rosy polished surface in the way of adoring touches with eager fingertips. I made sure to get her a double bed of near the same design as the first, an idea which I applied to the rest of the set as well. She also gained a new bookshelf, a soft royal blue braided rug, and matching royal blue curtains for her window. Of course I made sure her bedding also came in shades of blue, as such seems to be her favorite color. A multitude of embroidered butterflies fly along the trim of her down comforter, as well as her sheets and pillow cases. Nothing but the best for my little ones.

When Pappila was given the start of what I assumed to be a growing collection of magical items, I also added what I dubbed the 'secure trunk'. It looks like a normal lockable trunk, but good luck opening it without knowing the correct spell words. For now I am the one who opens and closes the trunk, but as soon as Pappila is old enough to speak magical phrases she will be able to do the same.

Now her room boasts a total of four bookshelves, all fairly tall so they can hold as many books as possible. I had each magically reinforced before bringing them over, just to be sure they don't topple over onto my precious girl. Yet another secure trunk is next to the other, so now they span across the front end of her double bed. Not to mention I had to pay to have each enspelled to act like large Bags of Wonder, as her collection of magical items and components is growing by the day. I'll have to make this a lasting gift for a time, as I do not wish to drain my family's funds dry, even if such expensive things help to keep Pappila content.

I opened up Pappila's window one morning, and in they came. Hoards upon hoards of butterflies streamed through that space between the stones and into the room, only to dance around Pappila in a circle while my little Fey giggled joyously. They stayed for nearly an hour, fluttering about Pappila as she reached for them wordlessly. Finally they all went back out the window, only to return every time it is reopened. I've since dubbed the regulars her 'butterfly collection'.

Celestial Wand - An extremely durable wand that works well for magic involving celestial bodies, gravity, quantum energy, and divination.
Weakness: This wand does not work as well for magic involving healing or domestic arts.
Vine Wrapped Wand - A very flexible wand that works well for magic involving earth elements, healing, and fertility.
Weakness: This wand does not work well for magic involving technology or electricity.
Wand of the Tides - An extremely flexible wand that works well for magic involving water elements, life energy, and summoning.
Weakness: This wand does not work well for magic involving fire or gravity.
Bone Wand - A very durable wand that works well for magic involving necromancy, entropy, and spirits.
Weakness: This wand does not work well for magic involving healing or life.
Unicorn Wand - An extremely powerful wand that works well for magic involving healing, time, and light.
Weakness: This wand does not work well for magic involving necromancy or entropy.
Moon Wand - A very powerful wand that works well for magic involving healing, divination, and water elements.
Weakness: This wand does not work well for magic involving fire or earth elements.
Hellfire Wand - A very powerful wand that works well for magic involving fire elements, explosions, and dark faith.
Weakness: This wand does not work well for magic involving water elements or divine faith.
Serpent Wand - An extremely flexible wand that works well for magic involving telepathy, illusion, and poison.
Weakness: This wand does not work well for magic involving transfiguration or healing.

Crystal Wand - A general purpose wand, though it does focus the user's abilities towards all magic. One must be careful when using it, as powerful spells have a chance of cracking the crystal while being channeled through it.
Weakness: This wand is very delicate in construction and can be shattered easily.

Hellfire Orb - A very powerful orb that works well for magic involving fire elements, explosions, and dark faith.
Weakness: This orb does not work well for magic involving water elements or divine faith.
Orb of the Tides - A powerful orb that works well for magic involving water elements, life energy, and summoning.
Weakness: This orb does not work well for magic involving fire elements or gravity.
Lightning Orb - A shockingly versatile orb that works well for magic involving electric elements, metal, and weather.
Weakness: This orb does not work well for magic involving plant elements or healing.

Magic Mushrooms - Fairy mushrooms come to life, and now kept in tiny little bottles. They are used in many a potion.
Weakness: Bright lights make them cringe and eventually shrivel, so now they are in Pappila's trunk.
Magic Blobs - Cute little globs of concentrated mana, that somehow gained sentience. According to a few books, they are very useful as ingrediants in certain potions.
Weakness: They are not overally fond of darkness, so they are kept on Pappila's windowsill.

Essence of Air - This bottle contains a small portion of wind from the elemental Plane of Air. How it was bottled and brought into this plane without the glass shattering is beyond me.
Weakness: I am convinced that opening this bottle would result in a small disaster unless we are sure of what we are dealing with. Mixing any of the elements together is certainly out of the question, as I have no idea of what that would do.
Essence of Earth - This bottle contains a small portion of earth from the elemental Plane of Earth. How it was bottled and brought into this plane without the glass shattering is beyond me.
Weakness: Same as above.
Essence of Fire - This bottle contains a small portion of fire from the elemental Plane of Fire. How it was bottled and brought into this plane without the glass shattering is beyond me.
Weakness: Same as above.
Essence of Water - This bottle contains a small portion of water from the elemental Plane of Water. How it was bottled and brought into this plane without the glass shattering is beyond me.
Weakness: Same as above.

Holy Water - Blessed by a High Priestess of Eilistraee many centuries ago, Calavel was generous to send this great treasure to Pappila as a welcoming gift from one weaver of magic to another. This water is so very pure, it will scald an evil being to the bone.
Weakness: Intense evil is this water's only true weakness. It must be used by a being of good to bolster its own properties in the face of such ill intent.

White Potion Bottle - Empty, for now.
Weakness: None known, other than being made of glass and therefore breakable.
Blue Potion Bottle - Empty, for now.
Weakness: None known, other than being made of glass and therefore breakable.
Green Potion Bottle - Empty, for now.
Weakness: None known, other than being made of glass and therefore breakable.
Red Potion Bottle - Empty, for now.
Weakness: None known, other than being made of glass and therefore breakable.
Pink Potion Bottle - Empty, for now.
Weakness: None known, other than being made of glass and therefore breakable.

Mini Tomes - About the Apple; Art of the Known Worlds; Dragons, Guardians or Tyrants?; All Wrapped Up, The Guide to Known Paranormals; Underwater Worlds; The Stars and Beyond; Black & White, Laws of the Known Worlds; History of the Sword
Description: I found some miniature books, with every word of every sentence carefully inked and easy to read (I checked with a magnifying glass, though I had to start checking just the first and last pages of each after checking the entirity of the first book made my eyes start to sting) and couldn't help but purchase the entire set. It is true that Pappila won't be able to read them without the aid of my magnifying glass right now, but should I ever take her over into Gaia with me in the future they will be about the right size.

Vita Merlini - A gift from Filix, one which that Pappila still reads now and then, even though I know for a fact she's memorized it from cover to cover.
Description: "I am preparing to sing the madness of the prophetic bard, and a humorous poem on Merlin; pray correct the song, Robert 1, glory of bishops, by restraining my pen. For we know that Philosophy has poured over you its divine nectar, and has made you famous in all things, that you might serve as an example, a leader and a teacher in the world. Therefore may you favour my attempt, and see fit to look upon the poet with better auspices than you did that other whom you have just succeeded, promoted to an honour that you deserve." - An excerpt from the Vita Merlini's opening passage.

Jeweled Butterfly Plushie - A lovely gift from Empress Kaioto Katsuma, this plushie is made from finely woven silk and decorated with glinting water opals. It is enchanted to respond to vocal commands, such as 'Fly' and 'Circle Around', and will continue to do as it was last ordered until told to 'Perch and Pause'.
Weakness: The plushie is likely flammable, though we have not tested such. Being made of fabric, I'm not really sure how damage resistant it may be.

Flower Globe - Alces left this pretty trinket in front of Pappila's door one day, and I am very grateful I avoided crushing it on my way out that day. It currently sits on Pappila's new set of shelves above her desk, which I assume she plans on using to display things from now on.
Weakness: Quite breakable due to the glass dome around the flower, or at least I assume so.

Incense Holder; 'Purple Bliss' Incense - I was surprised at how much Pappila loves this present, as she's never really gotten overally enthusiastic over anything non-magical that wasn't a book in the past. Lo' and behold, Pappila says Muris' gift reminds her of her parents in a good fashion, and thus she burns the incense whenever she wants to relax.
Weakness: I'm fairly sure that the incense holder in itself isn't all that sturdy, and thus breakable if stressed long enough. However, the weakness of the incense is obvious, for we'll run out if Pappila keeps burning the sticks as often as she has been. I suspect I'll be going to the market in search of 'Purple Bliss' incense every week now...

A small fairy flew into Pappila's window to begin playing with the butterflies some time ago, and she has not left since. She eventually told me that her name is Mirim, and that she loves being in Pappila's room so much that she plans on staying. Well, Pappila seems to like her, so I suppose that is fine.

(( Eirnae and Pappila have yet to meet Eildeth, but I wanted to post her here anyway. ))

(( Yup, Luethi hasn't been worked into the story plot yet, either. After all, no sense in having a familiar if you cannot cast magic yet, right? ))

User Image Cervus - Has not offically met him yet
User Image Lilium - Has not offically met her yet
User Image Ardea - Has not offically met him yet
User Image Alces - They met briefly during a chance encounter in the gardens. He seems a polite while talkitive boy, though I would guess he is sensitive about his mid-section due to how he acted when Filix lifted his tunic with a spell.
User Image Equus - Has not offically met him yet
User Image Filix - Pappila seems to get more affectionate when around Filix. She treats Filix much as she does me, which is how I imagine she treated her mother in the past. How these two got so close so quickly still baffles me, but I can only hope it continues. I need someone to be here for Pappila when I cannot, and Filix is the best Fey I can think of to fill that role.
User Image Rosa - Pappila hasn't told me how, but she has indeed met Rosa. From what my Fey has said of her, I'm getting the impression that the chances of a friendship happening between Pappila and Rosa are slim to none.
User Image Aesculus - Pappila speaks of him fondly, though I honestly cannot recall ever meeting him myself. Did he come over to visit her? Perhaps I'll get a chance to ask him some time in the future.
User Image Ursa - Ursa seemed like a very nice and polite girl, even if Pappila got just a little frustrated that her gestures where taken in a way I don't think she meant. Perhaps in time, when Pappila gets more practice speaking, they will be able to communicate better.
User Image Muris - I believe that Pappila has found a true friend in Muris, as the little girl did exactly what she needed to ease her way into Pappila's heart. She read to her. Pappila went so far as to give Muris one of her treasured books, an act which still makes me smile just by thinking about it.

It should be noted that the art for the beautiful Fey is the work of the wonderful Sajhiri, who also coordinates the major roleplay for the Kithain of the Fey. *Washu* manages the shop and helps to come up with viable plot ideas, vertitably providing the fuel for all of our creative fires. Of course we cannot forget Xannyia, who stays on top of all Fey log entries as well as aiding the mainstream roleplay.

Please go and visit Silva Regia, and see what the Fey are all about!
