((Didn't know where to post...I assume you make a new thread for new storylines/locations?))
Skyla wandered up and down the trial, nervous about her move to Fort Weyr. If all went well, she would be able to be a permanent healer for the Weyr. For now, however, she was only to be there on a temporary basis by order of the Master Healer until Fort Hold needed her. It wasn't that she was nervous about being a healer to dragonriders and those that lived in the weyr. She wasn't even afraid of being a healer to the dragons themselves.
She missed the patients she left at her previous hold, the families that she cared for deligently. It was them that she worried for, not for herself. Afterall, she'd been a healer apprentice since she was 10, two years before the regular age. She was a senior apprentice by the time she was 12 and was promoted to journeyman status by the time she was 16, also two years before normal. And now, at 18, Skyla was already a senior journeyman (three years ahead of schedule) and set to be stationed at one of the most prestigious weyrs on Pern. She been apprenticed to many different holds as a senior apprentice and junior journeyman, both small and large ones and those inland and those near the coast. She's been stationed at beastcraftholds and many other crafthalls along the way. She loved the diversity of her training. Like her mother said, the love of healing was in her blood. It was a family tradition to become a healer, afterall.
She shook her head slightly, dispelling the worries that made her stomach rumble. The families that she left behind were in capable hands. If they needed any aid, they only had to send up a signal flag or send a drumroll message. Smiling once more, Skyla picked up her traveling bags in each hand, making sure that the one on her back was properly secure, and continued up the trail to Fort Weyr. She was eager to meet the riders that came to Benden's aid, eager to meet new faces and start on another journey in her life.

((This should probaby go here. It says that it's the day after the hatching feast, but that's just a time referance. It's the main thread for he Weyr, and where everone posts unless you are in a private weyr or someplace like the canidates barracks. But I'm not a mod, and it's not really my job to tell you this. Just thought I'd try to help out. sweatdrop ))
