An Idiot's Guide to Profiles Remember, it doesn't matter if you change your mind about anything as you can always come back and change it. However, it's best not to change big things like race as it will confuse people quite a bit.
Username:
Pretty obvious.. if you can't even work out that one you probably shouldn't be on gaia...
Character name:
The name you choose for your character can be anything you want (nicknames they like being called in brackets so we know please)
Age:
Your age range is dictated by your race so decide on your race and check here for the age range of your race
Race:
There are seven to choose from. You CANNOT make up your own. Check here for info on each race etc
Alignment:
SUM, Techno Union or neutral. If you're new its best to go with neutral until you get into the story line and then you will get recruited by one or other of the groups. (For info on them look here)

Class:
Magic, Techno, multi-skilled, unskilled etc. Theres a detailed description on each one here Blue thinks you are going to do your abilities before class as your class basically sums up your abilities in one word. (it's easier that way)
Description:
Pictures or just a short paragraph about what your character looks like you can make this whatever you want but each species has differences you may want to include (eg you wouldn't decribe yourself as a slim, fair skinned girl with long flowing silver hair if you had put your race as dragon) info on the different races is here
Weapon:
Once again open to anything and everything but try not to have too many. You aren't invincible. Magic is counted and so are things like lightsabers. We've built a city floating in the middle of space, remember, so please don't go for just daggers and swords and such.
Personality:
Once again free choice on this one try to remember though that these are people and they do have flaws. It makes the RP more interesting.
Abilities:
This is the tricky one - your abilities decide your class. If you read what I said up ^there^ then you have a free choice if not... well, I'll get to that in a minute... You put 4 things here: 3 are skills related either to magic (eg power over a certain element), technology (eg the ability o fix almost anything) or a fighting style (eg sniper)(you can mix and match the 3 however you want), the fourth is basically a free choice; it can be something like being a really easy person to talk to OR it can be another fighting style but not a magical or technological ability. This is all explained in a different way if you didn't ge that right here
Bio:
Yet another one for you to decide. Basically anything of interest that has happened in your characters past. You don't have to put anything here if you don't want to but you can basically be as extreme as you want and you can also combine this with personality
Other:
Anything else we might want to know about your character
Current Job:
You can work as whatever you want. If you want you can even make a thread for your workplace in the relevant level and actually
RP going to work. You can also be unemployed.

Class: Technological - Killbot
Description: She's 5'4" and weighs roughly 90 pounds due to her lightweight design, but this varies according to her personal gravity settings. She has turquoise skin, periwinkle eyes and navy hair, and dresses in a red vest, black skin-tight trousers and large black army boots. She has a bullet belt, a surface-to-air missile launcher and a shotgun with her at all times, but only really keeps them out of respect for her 'original purpose'. She also always carries a notebook and pen to get down anything she cannot record.
Weapon: Double-barrelled shotgun, surface-to-air missile launcher, various grenade types.
Personality: Enigma is friendly yet tenacious and never gives up on the big scoop. She has a tendency to get a bit violent if a situation arises that she was programmed to fight in, but she has slowly gained the ability to override this... She's also a bit more 'emotional' than most other androids.
Abilities: Proficiency with technological weapons of all kinds, enhanced senses and memory, interrogation skills.
Bio: She was discharged from the Outer Defense Corps a year ago, when her technology became obsolete for the purpose but she couldn't bring herself to have an upgrade. Since then she has wandered, and eventually decided she'd enjoy starting her own newspaper. Thus, the Geopolis Times was born.
Other: If you see her participating in a thread, it means she's following a big story. Take action on this as you wish.
Current Job: Editor and main reporter for the Geopolis Times

 Username: stabbyfairy Character name: Fyrinae Moorhouse Age: 19 Race: Human Alignment: Neutral (for now! pirate ) Class: Magical - Sorceress Description: Yep, complete with guys in the background. She's only 4'10". I should draw a new one, I've come a looong way since this picture... Man, I drew this over a year ago! sweatdrop Weapon: Her big heavy stick, and the number of small items she carries to help with her sorcery. Personality: Fyrinae is kind of laid back, but she has a tendency to get carried away sometimes. She makes friends quite easily, but unfortunately she wears them out just as quickly. Her sunny attitude and boundless hope is sometimes replaced by biting sarcasm and cynicism, but this is more often about people than situations and usually when she's upset she just gets even more cheerful. She's not very good at what she does yet, but she's working on it... Abilities: She can use fire, lightning and wind magic so far, but is already trying to expand that repertoire, as well as improve on what she can do (eg not destroying small areas of the landscape with what is supposed to be a weak spell). She's also good at 'opportunistic' fighting; she knows exactly when to stop playing fair. Bio: Her family realised early on that she had magical potential, but their pride wore off when they also realised that untrained magic led to unfortunate events. They sent her away for training when she was fairly young, but she still has a long way to go. Her teacher even decided she'd (ie he'd) be much better off if she worked on it alone, especially as her powers increased as she got older, while her control of them was still abysmal. She's lived on her own, travelling around, for 2 or 3 years now, and as such knows a fair bit about what's going on. She refuses to pick a side yet. Other: She'll offer to perform a small, useful spell for you. She'll then accidentally set you on fire. This is how she makes friends and influences people. ((Found by kyokat. Username: JitterBug_Dreamer Character name: Leori Rose [Ringtail] Age: 18 Race: Beast(woman) Alignment: Neutral Class: Citizen Description: Leori is a short but thin raccoon-like female with long snowy-blonde hair that cascades in waves to the base of her tail, or to her hips. Her eyes are gold and naturally encased in two sooty patches, giving her a sort of masked look. Her large ears, postioned on the sides of her head, are large and tipped with black. Her skin is silvery in color and very soft, as well as her tail fur, which is tipped with two thick black rings, hence her nickname. On Leori's left shoulder is a tattoo of a black rose, the dark gray vine circling her arm down to the elbow. Tight around her neck is a white collar (sort of like a dog or cat collar) with a silver ring dangling from it. She normally wears a cropped gray and black striped long-sleeve shirt with bray pants and black boots. Weapons: a pocketknife and screwdriver. Personality: She likes to show off her belly-button and midriff. Ringtail is quiet most of the time unless you can get her sugar-high. She is a deep thinker and very conscious of her actions. She's also a romantic, but knows too much about the mind to act upon her impulses, ever. Sometimes she's flirtatious, but only with close friends and when she feels good. Abilities: She is best at hacking into hardware, dismantling and reassembling worthless junk into weapons or useful tools, and has improved hearing and can see a little in the dark. Bio: Leori doesn't remember much about her childhood. She's always been alone and prefers it that way most of the time. She discovered she was pretty good with machinery and hacking into different types of hardware and software when she was younger and somehow slipped into the Fire level of Geopolis. As she grew, she perfected her techniques and is a good spy. However, she prefers not to be on any sort of side. She finds no reason for this. Most of Leori's life has been spent wandering Geopolis just to learn. Other: She is obviously most skilled in mechanics. Her areas of expertise are in hacking and improvised weapons-building, or creating working tools and such out of various useless pieces of junk. Ringtail has good balance, though, and is currently looking for some job that could showcase her abilities. However, she's afraid of the dark and doesn't like robots or puppets because they give her the creeps. Current Job: nothing as of yet.

Username: The Blue Blob Character name: Karma Age: 17 Race: Starchild/ Human (mother was star child, father was human) Alignment: Neutral Class: Magic Description:  Weapon: Various daggers and scythes as well as 2 sets of fire poi Abilities: Foreseeing extremly good/bad things, blending in to her background (i.e. invisibility including being untrackable by lifesigns) Possesion of some animals, mostly birds and mood/emotion reading (knowing peoples emotions just by looking at them/thinking of them) Personality/ Bio: Karma has always been a quiet child, she hated where she grew up and ran away when she was 9. She smuggled herself on board a spaceship leaving her planet and lived on it secretly for a year before she was caught. They were shocked to find her as she had never shown up on scans of the ship but they accepted her and allowed her to continue living there. She grew up there but as she got older the other people on the ship began to worry about her. She often went missing for days at a time and didn't show up on any sensors or scanners they had and then would appear again claiming she had been there all along. When she was 15 they recieved word of the planet like city and she parted from her surogate family. She has lived in the light level of thecity for 2 years, prefering the open spaces to the cramped cities, but has only met very few people. She lives alone but knows of most of the small groups of people in the level and where literally everything is despite the fact she hasn't travelled very far. She often takes trips to the shadow level as she finds the workings of it fascinating but always returns to the open forests again eventually. She is saving up as much money s she possibly can to purchace a spaceship of her own so when this planet falls in to the state of chaos that seems inevitable she has some form of guaranteed escape. The obviousness of the coming war and the ignorance of pretty much every one completly baffles her. She knows she isn't normal and since she arrived here has slowly discovered she seems to have the power to become invisible and melt in to the back ground. Karma goes about wat ever work she currently has with very little fuss. She rarely speaks to anyone and enjoys the privacy of her own thoughts. She also seems to know when bad things are going to happen and seems to subconsciously avoid danger. Other: Current Job: none

Username: Dark Mage Vampyr Character name: Chthon Age: 89 Race: Vampire Alignment: Neutral Class: Magic Description:  Chthon's wings look like they would be of use to him but they aren't because when he was younger he broke them and they never healed properly so they can't be used to fly. His wings are more for show and to scare people. His eyes are a bright green and his, let's say fangs, are longer than they should be for his age. Weapon: A katana made of a titanium alloy and he turned his finger nails into claws. Personality: He's a more seclusive person than most vampires but if you wish to talk to him, he will have a nice conversation with you....unless you make him angry then just watch out and run. He's aslo a good person once you get to know him. Abilities: He can make a shadow dome where no light can go in or out but the noises of what happens inside of it can be heard, he can make a shadow version of himself, and is great at hand-to-hand combat. He is also great with many types of swords. Bio: He didn't really know his parents when he was young and because of this, Chthon has come to not trust people easily. While growing up he trained himself to battle with people in hand-to-hand combat and used steel pipes he found to train in swordsmanship. Chthon has a great inner strength that can be sensed by people around him. Other: He is one of the few vampires that like to drink blood and find it very nourishing. Current Job:None so far.

Username: kyokat Character name: Makota Hara Age:23 Race: Beast-Man Alignment: Rouge Class: Civillian (knowledge is more technology based but is a quick learner and will be able to learn some magic) Description:  Weapon: Elemental Magic and a sword (not very skilled) Personality: Makota Tends to be determined in most tasks he attempts, it takes alot to break his spirit and if he gives up he knows what he is attempting isn't possible at that time. He is usually of good manner, well unless someone pushes him too far. Abilities: Weak Magic. Magic doesn't come easily to beast-men Sword skill but very amateur as of yet Strong knowledge of technology but lacks ability to assemble any. Bio: He is one of the few children of Beast-men. He never knew his mother as she died giving birth to him. He was brought up by his father. His father was an expert in technology, he did alot of work in there home town which was several miles from the central town of the Air Level. Makota's father took Makota to work with him and soon Makota learnt quickly from his father yet he could not assemble it with the delicate hand that was needed. After years of learning he could easily draw out plans for complex technologies but he could not construct any of it. Before long Makota's father died. He left his home town with a few trinkets that he had kept through his childhood. One of the trinkets was a large pendant that used to belong to his mother, this was the only memory he had of her and he treasured it. The other was a sword that his father once posessed when he was last required to battle. He travelled for several days. After many days of travel the Central Town could be seen in the distance. He knew it would not be long until he was in a new and strange place. A warm glow came from his chest it was the pendant his mother had once owned. Why was it glowing? Was it something in the large City ahead? As days passed the glow of the pendant grew. He examined the item repeatedly however, his area of expertise lie in technology. All he could gather is it must have been a magical artifact. He placed it round his neck, as he did he felt a boost in energy. This must be a magic artifact but as to how to use it he did not know, perhaps on his journey he hoped there would be someone who could give him more information. Other:Does not know of the Civil conflict affecting areas Geopolis. His town was very remote in terms of news. He also has no magical abilities as of yet, not until he learns how to use magic and the magical item he posesses. Current job:Baker Unemployed/ Travelling

She may seem selfish but its because she had to fight to get to where she isn't and wont accept people taking anything away from her. Abilities: Teleportation, Summoning, Healing, Leadership skills Bio: Both of Melena's parents were dead. She never met them as her mother died during childbirth, and her father before that. As a baby she was brought up by members as a tiny village on the light level but she ran away when she was in her early teens, sick of always being told what to do. She stands at 5'1", because of her breeding, and has a very petite frame. Don't under estimate her as this doesn't mean she isn't strong. Faeries don't generally live very long but her vampire blood means she lives a very long time [ [check out her age] ] Weapon: Samurai sword, Blood/Elemental Magic, fangs, claw like hands Personality: One of the few vampires who actually drinks blood, solely because it tastes so good, and also drains a victim after a fight. She is extremely gutsy, and proud of it, and will challenge anyone who asks, or annoys her, to a fight. Abilities: Mind control, can control the weather, can move things with her mind, and has a way of talking that makes people listen (she is enchanting) Bio: Was originally a science project due to the rariety of Vamp/Faerie breeds. She broke free after waking from deep sleep and now lives in the Air Level, at the center of the bustling city, Koryo. Other: Is extremely good with responsibility, and it shows. Race: Vampire Alignment: Neutral Class: Magic Description: My bat wings are disabled because of a fight when I was a young child. They are tiny and useless so I can't use them but my spirit makes up for them wouldn't you say? Myself being around 5'4" I weigh only 95 lbs. Yes my frame is small but not as small as those silly sunchildren. Weapon: Blood magic mostly, some shadow magic, my fangs, and my lovely nails that act like claws. Personality:Full of spunk I'm not afraid to be blunt and bitchey. Even so I prefer to stay out of fights as much as I can. I will drink blood for the shock factor and I don't mind the taste but what can I say, its more fun to just mess with fear then anything. Of course if I get any on my clothes I will not be to pleased... I pity the fool who messes with me. Abilities: Blood magic used to controle the minds and bewitch, and I'm currently learning some shadow magic though I'm not very well with it. Bio: As a child Lamia was casted out onto the streets early because her parents didn't like the idea of having a child. She slighitly dislikes the human race but she tries to get along with them best she can. Growing up on the streets shes been roughed out and is slightly bitter. Once she found the glories and fun of bar life she pretty much was raised up there wandering from job to job. Uncareing to politics she dosn't really keep up with whose mad at who, nor has she ever. Once she was caught in a bar fight to where a human held her down while a fellow vampire broke her wings, young at this time it stunted the growth of her wings. Mentioning this to her is a bad idea for she is slightly touchy on the subject. Other: I'm good with makeing drinks, just tell me what you want and I'll be glad to make it for you! Current Job: Looking for something at near the bar, bartender preferably. But I will take a waitress job too.

She loooves checking out guys. Everytime she spys a fine looking male chances are she's not very subtley checking him out. Current Job:If you want to call thieving a job. Sometimes she does assasinations for a price. [Wow, this is one morbid sounding person] She doesn't care, gambling, thieving, assassinations... she'll do anything for money. Which is one of the reasons that she's wanted on almost every level as a criminal.

Age: 134 ((This would be roughly middle age. If that's what you were aiming for it's fine but if you want her 'young' she'd be probably under 70, 80 at the most.))

Class: Magic
Description: Her black hair comes down to her bra strap. She stands at 5'6" and keeps her figure quite well.
Weapon: She prefers to use her magic, but carries a short sword around anyway.
Personality: She is very straight forward and doesn't waist time with anything.
Abilities: She is constantly manipulating the element of lightning and coming up with new ways to use it as a weapon and as a shield.
Bio: She was seven when Colin bit her ((These vampires can't 'turn' each other)), but she had been raised by him and had previously known of vampires.
Other: Very narrow sighted in skills. Lightning is the only thing that matters to her.
Current Job: Currently unemployed and has no intention to find a job, other than trouble making of course.
((Nice job but it needs a little editing. OK, you should have a little read of the Species information. I've bolded the stuff that contradicts things I've said specifically about vampires. You can have more abilities too, you get one more magical skill or fighting type, and one non-specific skill e.g. lockpicking, diplomacy, stealth etc. Also, you can fly. mrgreen ))
