Has anyone else seen this anime. I have just rewatched it. I forgot how funny it was...Yukari Mobile....so funny.

Ah, I need to re-read the series. I remember when I first read it. Those were the days. But yeah, my favorite character is Yomi, just because I'm a lot like here in several ways. And my best friend is exactly like Tomo. Strange, no? I like the episode/comic strip where Nyamo gets drunk and tells the girls about sex and the like. That one made me laugh for several minutes straight. And Kaorin. How I love Kaorin.

I don't really like kaorin but I like what happens to her. Then her reaction to it. Like in the sports fest episode where they danced. OMG I nearly died laughing cos it was soooo funny.

I love Azumanga biggrin Who wouldn't? Random school girls doing random things but I think Miss Yukari makes the show >,> She's like her own character type. She reminds me a lot of Haruko from FLCL. Just pure randomness at what she does.

Heh I really loved this series/manga, although I must say I like tha manga better because it's just kinda one funny thing after another, I laugh at almost every page when I read that <3

I can't really find the series anywhere. I found 1 manga the other day, but it was almost $15 and I didn't have enough money to get that one with another one I was getting.
I keep hearing that the manga/anime is good. I'm going to see it someday! I just gotta find it xd

Oh have you tried buying online. It is alot cheaper than high street shops, how they try to con you outta your money. It is scary how much they ask when you know it is priced better elsewhere.

I bought numbers 2, 3 and 5 when I saw them at a used DVD store for a
good price, and they looked new.
The others I just got around to buying at a con.
The fourth DVD would have to be my favorite.
As far as characters go,
I can't pick just one.
Although I have to agree that Ms.Yukari makes the show <3
along with Tomo ^^
Kaorin is pure cuteness,
I adore her in the episode where they are playing volleyball.
Which leads me to Sakaki,
who I like a lot also.
At first she didn't get enough screen time In my opinion,
but in the later series she got enough to satisfy me.
I loved her in the New Year's dreams episode.
xD
Hmm.
Favorite character.. favorite character..
Maya.

Aaahhh... Azumanga... definitely one of the best series out there (and boy is it OUT there razz ). Sakaki is my favorite character, hands down. She tries so hard to get friendly with the cats, and all they do is attack and antagonize her... Of course, you can't like Sakaki without including Kaorin. They're pretty mush a set. wink
But for comedic effect, you just can't beat Tomo or Yukari and their respective straight men, Yomi and Nyamo.

How many episodes are there in the compete series? and how many seasons are there for that anime? I wanted to see what the hype is about for the anime, so I wanna buy it.

I think there's 26 or so episodes, not counting the movie which from what I hear, is just the series condensed into an hour. And like most OVAs, it's just the one "season".

I love this series! I've read the manga and I've seen the anime. I can't say that I like one more than the other because they're both so funny. I love the Yukari Mobile and I loved the episode that Osaka thought that the bread was hung for her to eat in the bread eating contest. I love Osaka.
