I heard that ghibli studios were making a new movie that was releasing sometime this year, I'm a little light headed about these things, can someone fill me in on what's going on? sweatdrop

oh man i sure hope they do, but i hope they stop copying books from diana wynne jones. (howl's moving castle, castle in the sky) her books are so much more exciting. and complicated.

yes. new movie. something about "Tales of Earthsea" or sommat...i dont remember all the info...unless that movie already came out...? i dunno

It's out already. And the story is based on Ursula le Guin's tales on the Earthsea. smile Haven't read the books yet, but they're on my list. wink
|

The books are fantastic. My mom read them to me when I was in like fourth grade =3

Castle In the Sky wasn't based on Diana Wynne Jones' Castle In the Air. It's completely different, like Arabian Nights with a twist. Plus, Howl, Sophie, and Calcifer are in it, and Sophie and Howl have a baby! Though he was born as a kitten. xd It's a great book and helped me earn extra English points this past school year.

I saw a little of the Earthsea miniserie on SciFi, but I have read the book. I'm not a big book reader.

It's Gedo Senki, based on the Earthsea series by author Ursula Le Guin. The thread is located here. That being said I'm closing this thread. Mmm...I'm gonna think about whether or not to give you a strike since "New Releases" is in the "Rules, Updates, and More" announcement. Next time though, please read that.
