I totally want this game. D: Yeah so this is technically the official sequel to Lunar Legend Tsukihime. The famous best selling ero visual novel from Type-Moon. It has a complete cast of characters including all the major ones from Tsukihime, and some new ones. It's considered to be a doujin because Type-Moon worked with a doujin group to make it. However it has spanned from the computer to now having a PS2 version. Anyway, it's a fighter if you didn't already know, and I've played a couple of demos of it. I have to say, it's pretty fun. Aside from that, some people would probably be happy to see that even Yumituka is back, and she;s a fully playable character. Hell, I'd have to say I'm happy to see she's back. >.> Anyway, unlike the previous game, Melty Blood is completely free of h-scenes it's pure storyline and combat. Which isn't really a plus, but I can't say it's a minus either. It just depend on the person you're talking about. Unlike many other fighters that comeout of doujin companies, this one has its own setr of graphics, voices and fighting styles. Heck Sion can shoot people while they're on they ground. Yes, with a gun. I totally love doing that. Anyway, In this when I said you have all the characters that may have been a lie, you don't get Ciel-sensei, you get Ciel, but not Ciel-sensei. She's a comical character that gives you pointers if you got a bad ending in the original Tsukihime game. Anyway at the very least, you get her troublesome student, Neko. Yup the little chibi-kitty Arcueid is a playable character apparently, so as you can see you've got a pretty wide range of characters. official website: http://www.e56.info/mbac/ As a little side note: YES! It DOES make sense that you can use Yumitsuka. The previous game actually explains this... in a way.

Actually the React version has Satsuki and Ren,not the old one.French Bread made the first version way before Type-Moon helped them with the React version.
And about Satsuki, being a quickly-evolving vampire, it seems that she can summon the "Reality Marble" in a state of high-stress. Its even one of her super moves.
Neko-Arc,Seven Holy Scripture Ciel, and Aoko-sensei aren't playable in the PC game except through a "buggy" boss hack.
White L/Ren from the 4koma is also a boss in the game.
So the roster goes like: Shiki Tohno(Nanaya), Arcueid, Berserk Arcueid, Miyoko Arima, Shiki Nanaya (Warakia version), Warakia, Sion, Vampire Sion, Sacchin (of course),Akiha, Vermillion Akiha, and R/Len.
The story path depends on how much the story you know and if you win or lose.
The seventh and eighth ending can only be done after getting the other six. The seventh is the real ending where you face all the remaining Warakia clones with the last fight against Warakia with the real Arcueid on your side.
The eighth ending is where Miyoko manages to sneak inside the Tohnos after your litterally huge fight with Akiha. Forgot what the chat was about though.
1st and 7th path:Serious story with Sion as the lead.
5th and 8th oath: A humorous story where Sion decides to go to the Tohno home with you and guess what? Those 4komas where Kohaku is a perverted maniac finally decides to do her secret plan finally comes to life. Miyako wants to visit Shiki on the same day. Yet like I said, she only succeeds if you done the six regular endings first.

Yeah... about that... is React an expansion pack or something because it costs like... half as much as the original release. That's been bugging me.

Its a remake but it needs the first game to work. You can air-dashes without using energy and the infinites are way less. You also get a better Arcade mode with voice acting too.

So it is an expansion pack... D: That means that it almost matches up to Shuffle! in price. Damn... I need a lot more money than I have at the moment.

Magical Girl of Justice! Hell yeah! XD
Well, of course I love Satsuki and Ren too. Well, really love Satsuki... but anyway, they're not as amusing as Kohaku... Even Neko-Arc isn't as amusing as Kohaku.
Oh and aslo.. Oh my god the Final Tuned version of it is a hell of a lot harder than the earlier ones. gonk I gopt my a** handed to me by Kohaku. >.< Damn... I should've played through all of story mode before adding all the updates. >.<

Yeah, Mugen is full of characters based off of the Melty Blood game now. I just wish I could get the final version of this game, Act Cadanza, for my PS2; but the chances of getting it in english are about 1 000 000 to 1 sweatdrop
My best characters thus far are either Ciel (great starting character as her dash can block attacks, and she's got tons of ranged moves), Arcueid (awesome juggling capabilities, and Marble Phantasms are awesome), or Kohaku & Hisui (swapping between chars is fun, and I shot Aoko in the back with a Hisuidoken for a finishing move ^_^).
Satsuki has to be my least favorite character to fight, as its soo hard to block her moves. FYI, her reality marble is her last arc ability in the game, so you activate it by going into blood heat and guarding against a close range move.

Who says yuou need to get it in English? You just need a mod chip ofr Japanese PS2 to play the Japanese version of the game... =_= Oh if only had a Japanese PS2.

For those without a japanese PS2, I have found a temporary solution to your melty blood needs. http://e56.info/mbac/is a site thats working on a new version of Melty Blood Act Cadenza, and you can download a demo version on the site for your PC. It only has VS and practice modes, as well as only two characters to choose from, but its good if you can't find or play Act Cadenza. (plus it lets you play as White Len without using a boss hack on Re-Act or playing Act Cadenza to death ^_^).

I'm not entirely sure yet, but I think its either a PC version of Act Cadenza with updated and more balanced moves, or its supposed to be an Arcade version or something, and the demo is just to advertise (explains the lack of story mode thus far -_-).
If you already have Act Cadenza or Re-Act, there's no real reason to download this one (though its under 100 megs download, so its not that large), save if you want to try out White Len.
Gah, I wants an english Act Cadenza *goes to sulk in a corner* ^_^

She's more like Len with the SNK boss syndrome...
It's enough if you check out her lame dash.
The one where she blurs out and runs through the arena whilst kicking constantly, sending you flying and dealing cheap damage.

White Len is far less powerful in Act Cadenza, but then again, so are all the bosses now that they removed the unlimited magic circuit i.e. constant heat mode ^_^. Of course, I wouldn't post after a month just to comment on white Len (not that there's anything wrong with Len, white or even just the regular kind 4laugh ).
On a side note, Aoko Aozaki is even deadlier now, IMO. She can triple jump AND double air dash, not to mention slugs some punches that make Satsuki jealous lol
