The Finding

Rose, a young and somewhat inexperienced magician, had left her home in search of herbs. She would of course be needing them for her spellcasting, and decided it would be best to be prepared. As she wandered through the forest, her surroundings began to look more and more unfamiliar. Had she lost her way?

"Where am I?...." she muttered as she pushed her way through the bushes; an unseen low-hanging branch almost knocking off oher over-sized witch hat.

As she walked, she failed to notice the strange-colored or beneath her feet. Before she knew it, she had slipped; spiraling down into a small hole. "Dammit," she grumbled as she tried to pick herself up and dust off her robes. "What did I trip on?"

Gazing around the floor, she finally spotted it. A black and amber orb that emitted a strange energy. "Whoooaaa..." She picked it up, and held it in the palm of her hand, running her finger along the spirals on its smooth surface. "This looks like....one of them...Those things I read about. I wonder if..."

She pocketed the orb, and began the long and timely proccess of crawling back out of the pit. "I should try and go and see one of the Magi. They're sure to help me."

And so it was decided. After wandering around the forest in search of the path home, she was able to return safely. She had completely forgotten about the herbs, and was now busying herself with a letter to the Council.

I have found a mysterious orb on one of my journies, and I had hoped that one of you would perhaps honor me with your presence, and tell me more about the orb. I've heard that with powerful magic, they can be transformed. Perhaps you'll help me? Thank you for your time.

[Mini Bio] Rose is a magician-in-training. Honestly, she's not the greatest with spells. Though there are a small few she's mastered. She specializes in potions-mixing all kinds of herbs and such. She lives by herself in a cottage near the edge of a woods in Arris. She's usually seen wearing long, robes that appear to be to big for her, and a large witch's hat.
[History] Rose has amnesia. She doesn't remember anything that happened prior to three years ago. She was found at the age of 10 wandering around outside of a small town. She was brought in by one of the villagers. The townsfolk dubbed her 'Rose' and let her take turns staying at various people's homes, where she would work for food and a bed. Besides these chores, she could sometimes manage to get jobs from other kind people for which she was actually paid. She saved this money until she could by her own home, which she did; the cottage she inhabits now. One day on her way home from one of her odd jobs, she happened across Nemo, a tired and hungry cat. He reminded her of herself, and so she took him home.

[Mini Bio] Rose's tiny, scruffy cat. He's black in color, and has crooked whiskers and a crooked tail. He loves candles.

The Mysterious Cottage: Rose's Home

-Talk about Confusing-

There is really one 'room' in Rose's home. Upon opening her front door you enter the living room. In the living room there is yet another door, much like a closet. This one door, which is usualy left open, links to many other rooms. These rooms exist in different 'dimensions' if you will, making this small cottage, really quite large. When you walk through the door that seperates the rooms, you have to concentrate on which room you'd like to visit. The same door can lead to the living room, the bedroom, the kitchen, the bathroom, the basement, the attic, or the guest room. To exit the house, you must return to the living room of course. This can be quite confusing, but no one ever comes to visit Rose, and if anyone would ever try to burgle the place, bad things may happen to them if they try to use the 'magical door'. So it's a win-win situation for it's current inhabitants.

The living room, most likely the only room that any future guest would get to see, is full of big, comfy furniture, and a large fireplace. Despite the fireplace, there are also many candles. These are special candles that Rose likes to make. Probably one of her favorite projects, these candles are very long-lasting, and change colors every few mintues. Black, white, red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple, pink, striped, poka-dotted, you name it. Some people might find the constant color-change irritating, but Rose loves it, and apparently so does Nemo. He can always be seen batting at the flames. Luckily these candles don't burn.
