Demyx returned to Hell carrying Jezzel in his arms, his face was bitter and his eyes were cold. He couldn't leave her stranded on the piazza in the middle of the night, he didn't want to be a nuisance and turn everyone against him. Demyx entered Jezzel's bedroom and carefully laid her on her bed, he than covered her with the satin bed sheets and observed her struggling breath. He moved towards the door and while giving a last look at her still and battered body, he silently closed the door behind him. "I suppose now I'm forced to find someone who can heal her" he said thinking aloud while loitering in the dark, cold, dimly lit corridor.

After noticing that the two demons had left Lucifer had returned to his throne room, and taken a seat to think about what he would do now that time was running out for them. He let out a small sigh softly cursing his own weakness. He couldn't go, and spy on heaven. Every time he went it was harder to leave.

Jezzel was still unconscious, laying pale moving some times as sweat beads appeared on her forehead. Her lower lip had swelled up a bit and blood trickled from the side of her mouth. Her breath was still ragged her pulse slowly decreasing.
Demyx moved recklessly towards Lucifer's throne room and stopped in the doorway. Lucifer was lost in thought...

Demyx folded his arms and paced forward into the light of the torches.
"Jezzel is dying" he said casually in a lack of interest.
Lucifer's head shoot up in a bit of disgust, and rage. "What happened?" he growled wondering exactly how long he could hold his temper. He was really starting to get pissed off with Demyx lack of respect not only for him, but for his other demons.

Then the full concept of what he had said hit Lucifer like an arrow. He repeated himself a little calmer, but feeling more rage then before. "What happened?"

Demyx spoke coolly and calmly "She engaged me in a fight..." he paused and fixed his gaze into Lucifer's eyes "I can assure you that I went very easy on her" he continued "however it appears that I was too much for her to handle" he concluded and then closed his eyes deliberately.

Demyx shook his head and let out a soft sigh "A meaning less effort..." he said coldly to himself.
Lucifer shook his head almost disbelievingly. "You had better make sure she survives this in as good of shape." he growled already picturing the torture he would put on this rebel if she didn't. "The last thing I need is to lose one of my best right before we go into war."

He turned his rage filled crimson eyes away from Demyx, and fought to regain the composure he never seemed to grasp. "Get out of here."
Demyx kept his eyes closed and was starting to work up a slow anger "Damn she was the one who tried to strand me, I just defended myself!" he said sharply in a cold voice. Than he opened his eyes and gazed away from Lucifer "but you're right..." his anger left him suddenly.

Demyx turned and started walking away from Lucifer than he stopped at the doorway. His sparkling lonely blue eyes were the only thing visible, the rest of his body was a silhouette "I'm an assassin, I ask no questions" he said quietly. Demyx kept walking outside the doorway until he couldn't be seen anymore in the dark "I'll try to fix it up but don't count on it" he said thoughtfully.
Lucifer shook his head trying to get over the anger that was doing him no good. Instead he turned his rage to the servant that had foolishly gotten in his way, and the miserable should was turned to celestial ash before his eyes.

As the pitiful wiles rose up around him Lucifer leaned back, and waited for the time when he could focus again, but for now his mind flooded with what to do about his current situation.
Demyx loitered around the dark, cold, lonely corridor trying to make up his mind on how to cure the battered demon. "I can't let her die", he thought while whisking in the depths of hell.

Demyx is a risk taker but if Jezzel dies, his luck would have been pushed too far and he would be obliterated if he were to confront Lucifer. However Jezzel's status was far beyond ordinary medicine so he had to think about something more efficient.

Than he stopped abruptly and stared at one of the dimly lit torches "Earth..." he said aloud, and ran towards the secret entrance determined to find a way to heal Jezzel on time. Demyx was heading to Rome in order to make an intensified research.

Tristan arrived in a few minutes in the dull passages of Hell. The jagged walls, the torches burning in their cones and he alone. He walked slowly not bothering to hurry. Demons didn't age and he had all the time in the World. Lucifer wouldn't get much angry for a bit of waiting or it would be better if put as anticipation. His hands in his trousers pocket, Tristan moved in the maze of caves and arches.

He had encountered a few "old" friends who when he had passed them smiled at him. There was something behind their smiles. They meant something. By the time he arrived in front of the Main door to the altar, Tristan had deciphered their cordalice smile. It was pity and amusement of the pure sort. In his absence it seemed that Hell had kept up with what was going on the Surface, and the frequent quarrels between him and Namia had found their roots even amongst these rotten demons.
Tristan shook his head and put these thoughts at the back of his mind. "I'm here on business" he stated to himself. He pushed open the thick walls and entered, face up and straight, his black cloak flapping behind him as the torches flickered at the sudden gust of wind. "My lord, I have arrived" and Tristan bent on his knee, right hand on his chest as he waited for Lucifer's reply.
Lucifer nodded his head toward Tristan as he came out of thought. "Bout time." he snorted more as show then annoyance.
"I'm Sorry Sire." Tristan replied and looked down, his hand still on his chest but his lips were in smirk. Looking at Lucifer he started walking forward, "It's been some time since I came down here and I wanted to take a bit of a Tourist visit of the place and also met some old friends." He told Lucifer as he stopped at the end of the stairs that led to the Throne.

Tristan's eyes veered to Lucifer's Ice white wings. Wings, long forgotten memory... he thought for a brief second.
"I see." he replied as he stood glaring down at one of the servants that didn't get out of his way quick enough. However, being in a better mood he didn't kick the pathetic cretin out of his way.

"Come let's take a walk. I've been in this room for to long now to think straight." he said as he started for the side door that only he was allowed access to.
"As you wish my Lord." Tristan said as he followed Lucifer. He never came through these passages. "So, Why did you call me after all this time?" Tristan asked, biting his tongue as it was never wise to ask Lucifer deeds as he had done.
Lucifer stopped, and glanced back at the boldness Tristan was displaying, but turned again, and continued through the doors where they entered a long hall of what looked like destroyed, and mutilated corpses letting out soft moans of pain. He smiled at the hall as it was one of his favourite places. He got a weird comfort from it.

"I have a few problems down here I would rather not deal with myself." he said as the door closed, and they were alone.
Tristan smiled at Lucifer's new hobbies. Those poor demons have seen better days, but alas, its the job of lowly classes to provide entertainment, especially to their Lord.

"What are these troubles? I have heard of nothing about the demonic world these last years." Tristan uttered as he looked around at this new room. It was dark and very few torches gave off light.
Lucifer shook his head as he walked on. "Some of the demons around here now are more trouble then anything. " he sighed.
"Umm.... Bad, bad." Tristan said his right hand under his chin. "If I remember correctly, last time there was similar trouble, you resolved it by putting up like a gladiator's fight right? Demon vs. Demon. Totally amazing. It gathered a huge crowd, a total success." Tristan let out a small laugh but stopped abruptly as he saw Lucifer stopping in his tracks.

"I'm sorry, didn't mean to take it lightly. So who are the trouble makers?"

"Demyx... seems to be the biggest problem. I wouldn't put it past Jezzel to prove to be a large problem too if she lives. Two of the best, and yet so defiant." he paused, and let out a thoughtful sigh. "If I didn't need them I would send them into the pits to fight it out."

"Jezzel and Demyx. I think I never saw them even though the girl's name seems to ring a bell. If they can cause trouble why don't you remove them now and replace them while we are still a bit away from war. If they can turn traitors you should killed them and finish it now." Tristan stated matter-of-factly.
"I don't know if traitor is exactly the way they are heading. I could replace them, but it would take so much longer then I have... I don't want to replace them if I don't have to, but I will if they stand in my way." he said more thinking out loud then anything else.
"You're the man to beat here. But if they are not traitors, then what are they doing? I mean the problems arouse for us if they reveal any plans to the Exiled or worse to the Angels. Even though, the latter wouldn't believe them." Tristan said as he sat down on a boulder near by and took some cards in his hand started shuffling them. It relaxed him, the simple motion of the cards slipping between each other.
"I don't know." he said with a sigh, and tried to relax his shoulders. "What of the exiles... do you know how they are coming?"

"No I have no detailed news about them. They seem to be divided though. We could send a good deceiver to some of them and maybe get a couple to our side." Tristan thought. "Jaras seems to be in a hibernating state".
"A good deceiver." he thought out loud. "I don't know if I trust many down here to handle that." his mind turned to his two irritants at the moment.
"They battled each other." he blurted in slight disgust. "I don't know what to think about them. The next step they take... everything is so calculated, and yet so easily turned." he sighed again. "I don't know... I just don't know if they will be able to stand at my side when the time comes."
"And you're talking about Demyx and Jezzel?" Tristan asked a bit confused. "Maybe there was a reason behind the battle. Demons fight continuously amongst themselves, its like training. Just confer with them and try to read their jesters. You are the best deceiver here, and by now you should know who will betray you or not. The one you doubt, just choke him or her." Tristan replied casually.
Lucifer chuckled at the comment. "Yeah. You are right... I'll just have to take care of them." he looked up now remembering his new wall. "What do you think of my wall. They are the appendages, and what is left of those that wanted to betray me, or tried to take a stand against me." he mused.
Tristan looked at the wall with the eyes of an art expert. Finally he spoke his verdict "Its really inspiring. I admit I never saw anything that expresses more you're true essence. Death, betrayal and the macabre. I'd like to commission something like this for my wall in the main Hall. Mainly it will leave some of Namia's frequent visitors death before partying." Tristan finished gloomily. His eyes, which a few instance before where full of life and excitement, where dull and somehow fogged.
Lucifer noticed the difference in Tristan's demeanour. "Something going on between you two?" he asked going completely against character.
"I'm Sorry Sire." Tristan sad. His voice wasn't steady anymore, and for the first time he noticed how uncomfortable he had become when it came to Namia. "At the moment things aren't so well, but my work shouldn't have been effected from my personal problems. As you know well I separate home from work." Tristan's cool attitude of a few minutes ago had vanished. His shoulders weren't straight anymore and his expression was solemn and not cheeky.
"What is going on?" Lucifer asked in a voice that was as close to concern as he was able to manage.
Tristan lowered his head in his hands and sighed. Then got up abruptly and punched the wall with his balled fist, making a dent. "I'm sorry. These days I can not control my anger very much. New Orleans is getting boring by each day. There aren't much useful people to recruit and there seem to be a couple of ancient demons hiding but I can not find their exact position. I've been searching for weeks with no results!" Tristan breathed out slowly trying to gain control on his emotions.

"And then I return home to find, to..." He couldn't bring himself to admit his situation to anyone, not even to his master. It seemed if he didn't talk it out loud it would see as if remote, but now he resolved to speak, as there is nothing to gain from hiding. "Well, Namia and I are at the last straws. She has changed so much in these last centuries, I don't recognize her. Her only concern is to get people home, organize or attend parties and just go out and celebrate for days. There are people invited for her parties I never got to know, men by her side flirting, eating and laughing, enjoying the company of my wife instead of me. The house has been transformed to a club rather then a place for rest. "
Lucifer crossed his arms as he listened to Tristan. "I see." he said thought fully. He paused a moment studying the man in front of him. "Would you feel better getting out of New Orleans for sometime... Get away, and have some time to think instead of being stuck there with her?"
Tristan got up, hands in pockets as he walked a few paces away from Lucifer, giving him his back for a second, then turned round. His face was cool and calm once more. His shoulder's straight and bold. "It's a temptation which I accept gratefully, my Master" Tristan replied casted his eyes downwards, his head a little bend, hand on chest. "I'm ready for your orders" and over his lips appeared an excited grin.
"Then I want you to go to the exiles area, and see how many you can deceive to come to our side." he said thinking about it.
Tristan smirked, "I think it is time to confront some old friends again. It seems it is a get together period. Is there anyone in particular you are interested in? I met Jaras son a few days ago, seemed a bit unstable. However I still have to figure out his true nature, Eleanor is the trouble. She influences him too much I think." Tristan said, arms crossed.
"Do as you must, but get some of them down here." Lucifer sighed. His mind was returning to the battle at hand now.
"I pledge my life always to you, my master of Hell. Now, I shall depart and do my best, as always." Tristan bowed low and left Hell in search of the Exiles.
Lucifer nodded his head in approval as he watched Tristan disappear. He turned back to his wall, and was lost in the display of carnage, and pain as he tried to figure out the current problems.

Lucifer made his way back into his throne room, and sat upon his throne kicking a servant out of his way. He looked around. "I wonder what is going on with Jezzel, and Demyx. They better have things fixed soon." he thought feeling annoyed.

Lucifer leaned his head back against the top of his throne, and cleared his mind of everything. "I need a break from this." he groaned out. His mind wondering through what he enjoyed the most. He snapped his head up.

"You." he growled pointing at one of the lowly broken servants.

The servant looked up at him with a scared look, but walked slowly over to him trembling. "Yes master."

"Go to Demyx, and tell him that I am going on a trip he has till I return to mend this issue with Jezzel. When I return if he has not finished this then I will finish him."

"Yes master." he said bowing again, and turned to walk out the door.

Lucifer smiled to himself as he thought about the trip he would take, and then he stood, and started out his door ignoring the cries, and pleas for forgiveness, and savoir as he walked by the destroyed bodies.
