This forum is for commerce. Quest threads, art/graphics shops/freebies, Trade structures, and the like go here.
It probably won't do anyone much good to create quest threads in here as long as we have under 50 members or so (and heck, we may be that way forever ^_^.) If you'd like to just point people to your official quest thread please do so in the Ads thread. Quest Logs are perfectly acceptable for this forum though (IE: a thread created to keep track of your quest progress--like a journal.) It is also acceptible to create a quest thread template here (so that you can have your posts all ready to set up in Gaia's forums.) Remember that we can't move threads except within the Guild.
Also: There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to start any charities here. We'd need around 100 members for that. However, I will allow members to create charity templates here. Please message me once you have your charity set up in Gaia's Charities forum so that your template can be deleted.
1. Gaia's and Temple Rules apply
2. Artistic Expression Rules apply (to shops, ja.)
3. Bumping is acceptible when your thread has fallen from the first page. (see note below rule 4)
4. Chatting w/i your thread is acceptible to a degree. If you're done conducting business for awhile, it's best to chat in the main forum. (see note below)Ok, since we're still so small almost 2 years after open I'm going to say chatting in your threads AND bumping are both entirely acceptable as a means to get closer to your goals. Spam it up, kids but main forum spam rules still apply. (No page stretching, prefer something better than "BUMP", etc.)5. Regarding mini-shops: Don't open one or keep an existing one open if you cannot keep up with it. It is understood that life happens so if you have to go away, reviving your shop is completely acceptable once you're back and ready to work again.
5a. If any given shop has too many complaints filed it will be closed, so plan carefully.
6. "Want to practice" threads belong in the Artistic expression forum. (IE: I'm bored and want to draw somebody threads.) COMMISSION threads belong here. And there again, those are reviveable if you'd just like to take on one commission at a time per availability.
6a. "I want to doll you" etc, threads belong in the main forum for now.
7. Remember to edit your titles to indicate whether the shop/thread is Open or Closed. (You can do this by editing the first post of your thread.)
7a. If you want to close a commerce thread for good, message a crew member or edit the title of the thread to "closed, please delete."
8. It is not acceptable to offer to TekTek (or any other sort of dress-up) avatars for a fee.
8a. It is not acceptable to open a shop that utilizes a graphics generator that you did not create. (Places like sparkletags--art theft central--and etc.)
9. Dolling Shops are only acceptable if you create your own bases and/or the bases you use are public domain. (Proof is needed.)
9a. The same goes for avatar edits (to a degree. When in doubt, ask Felly. I have a really good grasp about what's legal on Gaia.) Bottomline is I know it's acceptable to do avatar edits with Gaia bases but there are also a lot of Gaians out there with their custom bases floating around unprotected.
10. Art and graphics shops only (IE: no music or prose shops.) This is to protect you AND your customers.
