The Message

Read the title.

That's right, I'm leaving Gaia. For good. I won't come back - I may take a glance at this place once again, but I will never come back and participate.

I've spent a lot of my good time here. I've left a lot of memories here - some good, some not so good. I've impacted peoples' lives in one way or another...I've made many good friends here, and I've made many good enemies here. xd I've gone through good times here, and through bad...each with my friends helping me along every step of the way.

And...I will miss all of that. I didn't spend so many hours of my day here for nothing, you know? I enjoy hanging out with friends here...I love talking to people, I love being a leader. I really enjoyed much of my time here.

I can remember how it was when I first joined...I was new, and I quickly found myself engaging in painful debates...I can remember when I joined my first guild: a kind, loving Christian guild...which actually developed into a guild I grew to hate. And then, I remember when I first joined the Ultimate Final Fantasy Guild...I remember that day well. I can see all the progress I've made, I can see how much the guild has grown...I haven't made so many friends in one place ever before. And then, how I met Kyle...a wonderful God-loving man....and joined the Christian Bible Study guild. Ah, I've had a lot of good times here.

But, despite all of those things, there's a few things here that are knawing me inside-out...

1. I'm becoming greedy. When I began Gaia, I wasn't all "in for the money". However, no matter how mature I seem about this, I have become greedy. Now, it's like half my efforts are "to become rich and get a cool avatar"....I originally came here for friends, and oppertunities to witness to non-Christians. It's changed now. My focus is supposed to be on God, not some fake "gaia cash".
2. My overall morals are going down. I wasn't half as perverted when I first joined Gaia. Now, I'm becoming some kind of "nasty freak". I'm in the process of purifying my mind - and I'm going to eliminate all causes of the perversion. This has happened because I've been exposed to "non appropriate" things here on Gaia...and I'm responding positively to them. It's hard not to when you're in your early teens with crazy hormones everywhere.
3. My priorities are going down. I'm putting Gaia above more important things - God, ministry, school, sleep, art... all because I want to "be the best" or whatnot.
4. I'm wasting my time. Yeah, there were good times here. But putting so much effort into uncooperative guilds isn't wise. I'm spending too much time in here, only to be forsaken or ignored half of the time.
5. I'm getting into a lot of unnecessary fights. With people in the guilds, with people outside of the guilds...I don't need so much conflict in my life. It adds a lot of stress on my back...and it hurts others, too. What kind of witness am I being for Christ?
6. I'm too busy for this now. Yes, school is getting harder, and my social life is getting bigger by the second. By High school, my internet social life will be limited down to Instant Messaging...that's it. I'm starting to spend more time with my "in real life" friends. But, I will always be open on AIM or MSN...or even email.

And, because of those things...I have decided to take my leave here. Please do not try to convince me to change my mind! I've made my decision, and I'll keep it final.

Now, before I leave I'd like to thank you who took notice of me and cared for me whilst my time here. I'd like to thank those who made my time here very pleasant....Don't think you've gone unnoticed. 3nodding I appreciate every last one of you, and I will reward you accordingly before I leave. biggrin

The Updates

I will be around for the next few months or so in order that I can get all my goodbyes said and inventory distributed. I am still making arrangements on "what will go to who". Please do not beg for anything, or try to be super nice to me in order to recieve something. From this date and back, those whom who were helpful or kind to me will be recognized.... 3nodding
