This is perhaps my favourite anime and manga of all time. It twisted your mind and made you think a lot, and with so many addaptations to it (Angelic Days manga, and the four new movies plus the live action to be released) it is certainly a series thats not dieing down any time soon. Who else likes it?

I've liked what I've seen of it. I never could watch it on TV since it came on so late. What part did they end it at on Adult Swim?

Hm. Interesting I suppose.
As for the series in a whole,
I have to say it's one of my favorites that I don't talk or obsess about often.
Although if people ask me about good series to suggest I always use this one.
I have four figurines for the series too <3

Yea I',m a bit nutty about the series...
I got the platnium boxset, all the movies released so far, all the manga, the Angelic Days that have been released to far, some posters, playing card with eva pics on them, a silver back-pack with the NERV logo and saying on it...
Im a nut >.>

Yea but it kinda gets annoying explaing my back pack to people. Because where it has the saying "Gods in heaven, all's right with the world" and those who know me, know I am anti-religous to a point, they always ask me to give them a 50 min explaination on it, and then they look at me weird because they can handle the complaxity the show has.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is definately one of my favorite animes. I haven't read the manga yet, though.
It was good visceral violence coupled with a great story that really made you think. That is an excellent combination lol.

Angelic Days is a sort of alternate reality version of the series right? I remember seeing a NGE graphic novel that depicted Rei as actually being bubbly and full of energy.

Correct, its bassed off of a dating sim of Eva (I wanna say the Girlfriend of Steel series) and depicts an alternate telling to the series as a whole

I loved Evangelion. Angelic Days...Not so much. It really took away everything away from Evangelion that I loved.

bishielurfer I loved Evangelion. Angelic Days...Not so much. It really took away everything away from Evangelion that I loved. Well, Angelic days was bassed of an Evangelion dating sim, Girlfriend of Steel, so i'd imagine that. But I still love it just the same

Yep. Gainax makes up some of the weirdest shyt ever. any1 here watched This Ugly Yet Beautiful World? a pretty cool 12-episode series. and done by Gainax......
oh, and for people who dont noe who or what the hell Gainax is supposed to be, it is the animation studio that made the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime series.

Well, Angelic days was bassed of an Evangelion dating sim, Girlfriend of Steel, so i'd imagine that. But I still love it just the same I might be really off here but I thought that it was based off of the alternate reality near the end of the series. Its identical to the start of angelic days.
