What are DCGI Sanctioned Communities?
A community sanctioned by the Department for the Control of Gifted Individuals is an organization that is designed to let Otherworld members meet people with similar interests and backgrounds as their own. These communities are approved by the DCGI, and have their own governmental structure, determined by the members of the group.

The following organizations have been approved by the DCGI:
Mages Guild: A guild designed to allow magic users such as healers, summoners, illusionists, and mages of any kind meet and exchange information with each other. Open to all magic users
Guild Magistrate: Position open.
Lycan Support-Group: A support group designed for those newly infected with lycanthropy to meet veterans of the disease and learn about the changes and challenges they will overcome. Open to all Lycan, regardless of species.
Lead Councilor: Position open.
Newly Dead: A place where the undead of the city meet and greet- a popular hang out for vampires. Open to all undead class creatures.
Dead Head: Position open.
Mystic Mount Breeders: A country club located in a ranch hidden from human eyes, this community exists for the purpose of raising and breeding mythical creatures, such as unicorns, dragons, gryphon, and pegusi. Open to all races with an interest in rasing an animal.
Head Breeder: Position open.
Cat Pride: Tri County pride of anything cat like. This includes: Any kind of were-cat, cat people, anyone with a cat familiar, cat demons, and enchanted cats. The pride is only open to cats!
Pride Dominant: Position open.
Wolves' Den: Tri county pack of anything canine. This includes: any kind of were-canine, canine familiars, enchanted canines, canine demons, and canine people. The den only opens for Canines!
Pack Alpha: Position Open.
The Department Board: This board is only open to the leaders (or co-leaders) of a group. Members of the department work with the DCGI Admins to get your group special benefits like contests or group-only rps. If you’re in a guild that has no leader, run for guild leader to get into this special group!
Board Chairman: Andrea

I have an idea for an organization. What do I do?
Fill out the following request sheet if you would like to see a group made to suit your interest.

Name of group: Please be creative! Do not put “Bob’s Guild for Birds” or whatever. Something catchy that will attract people to your group!
Your name: Self explanatory
Reason for starting group: This would be the part where you bash the department for not having your desired group… just kidding. Please give a legitimate reason!
What your group will do: This is not for grouping your friends together so you get your own sub-forum. These groups are designed to gather together people in the Otherworld with similar likes, interests, and talents. Your group must be something the community would benefit from! Make a case for yourself!
Are you willing to take the leadership position in your group? You will be held responsible for the group if you do!: Each group NEEDS a leader within the first month of opening… even if that means holding an election. Group leaders get to sit on the board, so be sure you have someone you can trust! Leaders should be fun and responsible, and will work with the DCGI Admins to schedule events and contests for your group. Be sure you nominate someone you can trust.

Help! Our group has leadership issues!
This can happen. If your guild is new, it needs a leader within the first month of opening, and yes, I will keep track. What does that mean? It means that you better get a leader! This will be done with an election, staged by the DCGI. The winner will become the new leader of the group. If the current leader decides to step down, an election will also be held. Lets hope this doesn’t happen, though.

What kind of benefits can I get from joining a group?
While the groups do not serve much purpose beyond meeting people with similar interests, there is one benefit beyond the camaraderie. Dare I say it…? Group Exclusive Posting. That’s right. Only people in your group are allowed to post, which means you can start group specific RPs (example, the Lycan group may want to get together for a Turning on a Full moon, or the Wolf Den may want to go on a night hunt…. It can be as varied as the groups)

How do I join a group?
You can join by either contacting a DCGI head (such as Daewen) or the group leader (if there is one!) When you get permission to post, you are allowed to talk in the group forum. Groups may choose to lock their forum with a password, contact an admin if this is the case.
