The Rules of Shattered Realms
Shattered Realms was created to be a serious role-play environment for serious role-players. There shall be several different Realms set up for every taste--ranging from Medieval Fantasy, Historical, and Modern to Vampires, Sci-Fi and whatever else your heart may desire. Please note that some of the above mentioned genres may not yet be available at the time of this post.
* Keep in mind these rules can and will be modified as seen fit by the Captain. Please visit this post at least once a week to see if anything has been changed or modified. Thank you very much!

This shouldn't even have to be said: READ AND KNOW THE GAIA ToS.
ToS rules come first and foremost always, and will also be strictly enforced. Ignorance is no excuse!
All guild members (initiates or full members and even crew) are expected to adhere to Gaia's Terms of Service (violations will not be tolerated, action will be taken based on the severity of any violation, case-by-case).
1. No God / Closed Action RP
People who post closed actions in any IC forum will be fined appropriately, and those who are chronic offenders will be dealt with more harshly based on severity and frequency of offenses. Some cases might even be subjected to deletion of the offending post. Other, less severe cases may also be required to submit additional RP to correct the situation when appropriate. Any additional punishment mentioned above will be in addition to the initial fine.
I will reiterate this point in layman’s terms. Please do NOT god mode or force another person's action in your posts.
This includes 'Auto Hits'.
If you are caught God-moding, using closed actions, or 'auto-hitting', there will be consequences.
Everyone should read the following thread, regardless of how much of a RP stud you think you are.

2. IC / OOC (In-Character vs. Out-of-Character)
IC forums and threads are strictly IC-only!
OOC discussion will not be tolerated on any IC forum! There is no reason any OOC content should appear on any post/thread/forum that is considered to be "IC"
An OOC Discussion forum has been created for ALL OOC needs. If you want an OOC thread for your Realm/thread, create a thread for it in the "OOC Discussion" forum.
IC Realms/forums/threads are IC-only, no exceptions! (I can't stress this enough)
3. Multi-playing
Multi-playing is where you use any character of yours to assist any of your other characters in any way.
NOT ALLOWED.
Don't do it. If you are caught multi-playing, you will be punished according to the severity of the offense. For instance, using one of your other characters to help any other character of yours in a fight will be treated with greater severity than some lesser offenses.
Playing more than one character is allowed, even encouraged, as long as none of your characters ever cross paths.
4. PG-13 Only!
Lets try and keep this guild as clean as possible, that means no cybering. If you are caught cybering in the forums, or even hinting at cybering, you will be instantly banned. You know what's acceptable, so don't press your luck.
Romance is acceptable, providing it complies with this rule. Breaking this rule is a Gaia ToS violation! You will be reported and could be banned not just from our guild by the crew, but also from Gaia by them!
5. Swearing
This one is pretty self-explanatory. It offends people. Keep it PG-13 and keep it minimal!
6. Respect Other Members
Honestly, there should be no real need to post this particular rule, but for those who will say they weren’t warned: you've been warned. Be respectful! There is no need to flame each other for the way they role-play or any other reason. We like to promote a friendly atmosphere here.
7. Realm Rules vs. Guild Rules
The creators of each Realm/thread will have their own set of rules. The rules set forth here should be met and obeyed first and foremost, then the rules of whichever Realm you are participating in.
8. Post length.
This is a literate RP guild, meaning we expect at the least one well written paragraph with at least five sentences.
We understand there are the days you will have writers block.. That is expected, after all no one is perfect right? But we would appreciate your trying as hard as you can to keep the quality up.
We do not, want to see one sentence posts, ever.
9. Character Biographies / Profiles
Profiles should be detailed. It is up to the thread/Realm master what information will be required for your character bio. Unless otherwise stated by the Realm Master character images are always allowed in your bio.
Making changes to your bio is up to the Realm Master to allow or disallow. If for any reason you have information you need to update in your bio (when allowed), please mark those changes in some way (color, asterisk, etc).
Some Realms/threads may want to require you to also post the stats of your character. Please refer to the Realm/thread for such details.

These are the rules, please mind them carefully. We really don't want to have to issue bans. Play nice biggrin
Please be responsible and mature in your dealing with each other and everyone shall enjoy themselves. We want this to be a good experience for everyone, but this means everyone has to work together with that in mind.
