Vossler appeared in the streets, amazed by the sudden hussle and bussle he had found, amongst the well crafted city. Regaining his composure, Vossler turned towards the capital. He ment to meet with the ruler of this city, in a hopes of coming to some...agreement.

"Outta my way, I've got work to do here!" He shouted, shoving people out of the way as he went. Near the front of the fortress a few guards hailed him, but he paid little head and walked on as they hurried behind him, hoping to stop him before their master found out and punished them for being unable to complete their duties. "Oh kiiinnnggg! You've got visitoorrrss!" Vossler shouted, walking through the grand halls.

As the man would reach the throne room, he would find the doors already open and upon entering through those doors, a blade of ever changing material at his neck. Behind him stands the man known in the Shattered Lands as the Hellspawn Savior, this man who was now held captive might know him as a different name though. With a smirk on his face, Sharu watches the man from behind and asks, "Who are you to demand the attention of a king who obviously hasn't sat in that throne in a millenia? Speak quickly my friend, my sons will soon be returning and they have not the patience for rabblerousers as I have." This demand was little more than a formality for Sharu, his spies throught the city having already warned him of a trespasser, he would have a little fun with this man before making his decision.

Vossler smirked, recognizing the voice from memories not his own. "So you're Sharu, huh? I guess you'd be the one I'm looking for...I thought we might have a little chat, you see." He turned, not fearing that he would attempt to finish him as he had threatened.

"Sorry if I came in a bit quickly, but I'm pressed...but now that I think of it, why don't we sit down? I have a proposition you might find interesting..." Vossler was quick about it this time, perhaps a little too cocky from the impact he hoped he had on Sesshomaru.

Sharu's eyebrows raised, not at the mention of his name, but at the calling of his bluff, he continues to smirk none-the-less as he lowers his sword, sheathing the mighty blade.

As he starts to speak, one of the guards perks up, "S-sir, are you sure about this gu-guh!!" The guard sputters, coughing up blood, as apparent by a crimson spray emitted from his visor, one look down and his ailment would be apparent; ornate spikes from a hydralic claw. Behind the guard, hunched over and whispering in his ear is a young man, no more than eighteen. His shoulder-length silver hair covers half of his face, but what can be seen is a sinister grin. As he speaks, there is an insane glint to his voice, "Now now, it's not nice to question father's motives, let him deal with the man, you go along and die quietly while your friend here fetches some chairs, RIGHT?!" The young man shouts to the other guard who quickly vanishes down the hall.

Sharu sighs at the affair and looks to Vossler, "I too must apologize, my son is not as tactful as I. Next time give them a warning shot before you kill them, Kazei." He adds, speaking to the young man. Looking back to Vossler, he speaks, "Now, what of this proposal?"

Vossler smirked as Sharu accepted to hear his terms. Folding his arms across his chest, he began. "We have recently heard that you came into power around here...a great move up on the foodchain for you, I'm sure. We know that the old guy who use to run things around here stood indecisive, despite our master's best...proposals. I just thought I might want to learn where you stand." Vossler began circling them, and his eyes glanced over the son whom he hadn't met yet.

"You see, there's a terrible war going on even now. Many people seem to be taking the side of this 'Rebellion', and everyone is being pulled into it somehow. I'm sure your city will be forced into battle again...whether it be for the Empire, or the Rebellion, I would sincerely like to know." He stopped, looking at the two. He thought it likely the son would enjoy his proposition, and the chance to shed blood, but the father was more of a mystery...and HE was the one who mattered.

Sharu's smirk widens at the mention of Oberon's former dictator and he quickly replies, "That Paladin was a fool for standing against me and for that he, along with the rest of his scum, were left under a burning pile of Nethicite and rubble. Evil will always triumph because good is dumb, as they say." Sharu now began to circle, hough his posturing would suggest he were more tiger than man as he watches Vossler with the look of a feral hunter, his visible eye alit with interest. "I assume that since you know me, you know my alliegence has always been with the Empire. You already know where I stand on THAT account, don't you Mr. Azelas? Now quit skirting the issue, if you please, it's rather rude. You're true question, if you wouldn't mind. You want to know if I'll side with you against my former mentor, is that not correct? You don't trust him, no more than you'd trust any kind of peace offering from Aron. You see, I am quite well informed on the happenings of the Empire though I have been away for quite some time." As Sharu's speech went on, his interest would become more noticeable, as well as his resourcefulness and cunning. As it stood, when he finished his speech, Vossler would have circled around enough to be in a perfect pincer strike between Sharu and Kazei, should he have second thoughts.

Vossler's eyes lighted a bit as Sharu spoke around the facade, getting directly to the point. "I see you're well informed...otherwise, my plans may be common knowledge to Sephiroth already. Either way, I guess I have no need to ask...where do you stand? Sephiroth grows in power, and we stand on uneasy terms. He believes he should interpret Ghaleon's orders for all, while I take my orders from the big man himself...if he continues to grow, I may well be put to the test. I don't ask you to go to open war, unless he brings war to us. So what is it? The purity of Ghaleon's will that has been bestowed in me, or the prophetic message that Sephiroth spreads after interpretting Ghaleon's will to his own?" Vossler smirked, turning his body so that he faced neither Sharu nor his son, making it the most ideal position for someone in such a poor spot as the center of two would-be foes.

Sharu finally lets out a laugh, something which would chill those who knew him to the core, as the man rarely, if ever, laughed. "You are a cocky one Azelas, I'll give you that. Just make sure that isn't what ends you, friend. As for where I stand, I am loyal to the empire and the Emperor. That much I can assure you, however, I'm not so loyal to Sephiroth. I asked for his mentoring once upon a time, when I was drowning in power that was not my own. In the end he left me for naught, and thus I have no qualms about betraying him if nessecery. I promise you this though, Vossler, should you cross me, or prove false in YOUR interpretation of Lord Ghaleon's orders, you'll meet a like fate as any traitor. I'm sure you understand this emplisicly, as it is also your duty to route out traitors. If we are in agreement, then I would ask if you'd accompany me back to the Empire if that is your next port of call." Sharu adds, extending a hand in alliance and friendship.

Vossler smirked, turning to his new ally. "I have no need for dead bodies, only allies...and if you wish, I shall accompany you back to the City of the Ancients. It is the heart of the Empire, and although you may dislike him, Sephiroth is still officially in charge of Ghaleon's regime. There, you may speak as you wish. Now, we'll go as soon as possible. I have matters to attend to, then I must await a response from Sesshomaru..." He turned, and gave Sharu's son a grin that showed his fangs before walking past.

"By the way! The Rebellion's got plenty of insurgents around...stick to the Empire, and you might just get to feed that rage of yours. Just a word of wisdom." He turned his eye, glancing at Kazei before walking past. His hidden eye could see the rage welling in him...a useful tool for the Empire, if it could be drawn out.

Sharu follows the man out, looking back at Kazei after Vossler had finished speaking to him. Kazei simply grins and becomes as a shadow, forming into Sharu's body and vanishing completely. Patting Vossler on the back, Sharu grins and says, "Come, we'll take the Paladin's personal chocobos, he won't be needing them anymore." Taking a couple of steps ahead of Vossler, he waves his left hand in a circular motion, signalling for a soldier to bring about the birds. "I realize teleportation is quicker but I think you should familiarize yourself with what may become a battlefield in the future." Sharu remarks, smirking. As the two reach the gates, a pair of white chocobos are brought out, both clad in light-weight yet durable black armor. Sharu climbs onto his steed and awaits Vossler.

((And with that, I'm out for the night, g'night all.))

Vossler nodded, placing his hand on the creature. "I wouldn't be surprised to learn you had chocobo knights ready for battle...though, these are pedigreed chocobos; too fine for war." Vossler grabbed a reign, and carefully climbed up onto the creature. It was a long time since he had ridden a chocobo.

Vossler's senses suddenly kicked up. "Hey...I'm gonna have to escort you back another time. You can make it on your own, right? There's something afoot..." Vossler got off his chocobo, and stood sensing a minute before he was sure. "Heh...I'll be back to give you a report later. Something big's going down." And with those words, Vossler vanished.

Sharu watches as the man vanishes, his eerily glowing eye showing a hint of concern for his new ally. With a frown, Sharu waves his black armor clad arm out like a whip, wisps of shadows and trails of magicks both ancient and powerful spilling forth from the ebony metal and striking into the earth. From this pool of inky darkness forms a diminuative green creature clad in black robes and wielding a massive and wicked scythe. The creature known as Deathscythe looks up at it's master with luridly glowing yellow eyes, awaiting his command. Sharu looks down upon Deathscythe and smiles a little, commanding, "Follow him, make sure he doesn't get into too much trouble.. BUT, stay out of any conflict where it does not involve you, understood? No harvesting of souls that you didn't reap. Have one of your kinsmen report to me in the City of the Ancients. Do not dally, now go!" With those words, the tiny 'god' covers itself in shadow and vanishes, following the trails of Vossler's energy. After the creature departs, Sharu sets out for the City, a curious look on his face.

A snowy chill blew crossed the street as two hooded figures exited an alley way, taking now time at all to move towards the palace. As the two approached the enterance, the tallest of the two nodded to the other, a pair of cold blue eyes shining through the darkness of his hood.
