Anybody ever watch any of those? Seriously, one of the best series ever. I've got them taped. heart Though... The blonde, blue-eyed Holmes is a bit weird, I will admit. As is the freaky robot that convinces itself it's Watson. Moriarty clone rocks, though.

Heck yeah! I used to watch those when I was little, and I had them taped but I lost them, or someone taped over them or something.

They were showing it around here on an independant station really early in the morning, like around 7am on a Saturday. I missed it a lot. I wish they'd shown Holmes adjusting to things more--he finds himself in this super-futuristic world & seems to just settle right in. I mean, he wouldn't act stupid or anything, but a lot of it would still be amazing & fascinating to him for some time! He'd be happily devouring all the tons of new data from the past couple of centuries & his new present world!

Yeah, that ticked me off. I mean, he just gets popped three centuries into his future, and seems to automaticaly know how everything works... Not very realistic, but then, it is a cartoon.

Awww, I wish I could see some of the episodes, but as far as I know, they've never been shown in Australia... Not that I've heard of anyway. Bugger.

I think I might have seen one of them, once. I don't remember anything about it, except that Lestrade was a girl, for some reason. That threw me off.

It's not the Lestrade. It's his... granddaughter? Something like that. Great-great granddaughter... dunno. A descendant.

Certainly not. I have never even heard of them. I think I should like to look them up, though.

You should, BK! They're weird, but sufficiently reverent to the Master.

I prefer Disney's version of Basil of Baker Street myself (not that it's better than Eve Titus' books, but we're talking animated Holmes here...& if possible, Disney made Basil even MORE Sherlockian than ever! lol ).

I just went and watched a couple of episodes on Youtube. I saw the first and second ones, (in what way is 'The Crime Machine' based on the 'Valley of Fear'?) and the 'Mazarin Chip' which I really enjoyed, though I thought the whole female robot thing a bit unnecessary.
SH22 is cool!

Been too long since I read VoF for me to be able to say, myself. Usually they don't just adapt the entire story straight out, though. There will be some story elements, at least, in "The Crime Machine" that came from VoF. It's cool that there are episodes on YouTube! With my dial-up it would take millenia to get one to load for viewing, but it's cool nonetheless! biggrin
