Materials
These are not, by any means, essential materials for all students. Those wanting to go through the entire course will need the following materials:

  • One 11x14" sketchbook
  • Several 8x11" sketchbooks
  • Graphite sticks
  • Graphite pencils
  • Willow Charcoal
  • Charcoal Sticks (Preferably Char-Koal Brand)
  • Charcoal Pencils
  • One putty eraser
  • Chalk Pastel in a variety of colors
  • Prismacolor pencils
  • Prismacolor Color Sticks
  • A large selection of art markers
  • One bottle of India Ink - Black
  • (Optional) One bottle of each pigment of India Ink
  • Tubed Watercolor
  • Acrylic Paints
  • Oil Paints
  • Brushes for each of the painting mediums
  • At least two sets of cheap brushes that you can ruin without worry.
  • An Apron or Old T-shirt to avoid stains
  • Two Canvases
  • Three Watercolor Paper
  • A variety of drawing Paper
  • At least one notebook for note taking and writing papers.
