Hey, I'm a vegetarain and i was wondering if we could swap recipes. Always looking for good food with no animal products or biproducts.
Here's a desert.
Take a non dairy whipped topping like Cool Whip, toss in good organic chocolate, make sure it's not just organic but free of child labour. Also, some fresh fruit like strawberries, or blueberries, bananas whatever. some nuts almonds or peanuts whatever you like, you can even crush up malted milk bals or you're favourite candy. if you want som chocolate or caramel sauce. Take this, mix it up and freeze. when you serve tope with a cherry or something and you have a really easy desert.

I actually found this one online and its a hit here at my house (My friends think I can cook now. Haha.)
It's a hot and spicy tofu dish!
* 3 tablespoons peanut oil * 1 pound firm tofu, cubed * 1 red onion, sliced * 1 red bell pepper, sliced * 1 green chile pepper, chopped * 3 cloves garlic, crushed * 1/3 cup hot water * 3 tablespoons white vinegar * 3 tablespoons soy sauce * 1 tablespoon brown sugar * 1 teaspoon cornstarch * 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
You can omit out the chile peppers if you prefer milder food. Same goes for the red pepper flakes.
For the vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch - I usually double what the recipe calls for but hey, to each their own.
1. Heat peanut oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Toss the tofu into the oil, and cook until browned on all sides. Once browned, toss in onion, bell pepper, chile pepper, and garlic; cook until just tender, about 5 minutes.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot water, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and red pepper flakes. Pour over tofu and vegetables, toss to coat, and simmer 3 to 5 minutes, or until sauce thickens slightly.
Feel free to play with it. I hear mirin, honey, mushrooms and other random things work too.
I also steam white rice (and rice vinegar) to add to the dish. mrgreen
If you're interested, I have stuff on caramelized onions (for tofu-dogs), vegan chili and asparagus soup with couscous.
