2/ Literacy, Punctuation and Spelling. Literacy Although the other pages cover this in much more thorugh detail, here is just a brief sypnosis.
Not Literate- This is what most of the n00bish role plays consist of- Bad spelling, no punctuation, chat speak and the immortal ** for actions. I've seen them abuse the exclamation key so badly, that it's hiding behind 1. We don't cater for rping n00bs here. If you are a rper on the not literate level, i advise you to brush up on your skills or get kicked out of almost every role play, you try out for. eg. *shows teth* i shal suc da blod outa u so phear me!1!1
Semi-Literate- Most of the role plays here are semi-literate. It consists of decent spelling with some typos, use of sentences (with the occasional paragraph) per post and the partial use of punctuation (some forget were the keys for quotation marks exist). Semi-Literate is much better than noobish but there is still room for improvement. eg. She walked over to the fountain. she then sat there. She saw someone go over. Hi how are you doing? she asked.
Literate- Literate is what most rpers are. Literate rpers can spell correctly (with the occasional typo), type out at least one paragraph per post, use punctuation correctly and use some detail. eg. She stared at him. "NO!" she screamed, shaking her head repeatedly. "You didn't, you couldn't, you ate up my cat!" she shrieked, rushing at him and attempting to punch him.
Advanced Literate- *drools* This is like the holy grail of rping. They are like miniature novelists on Gaia. They spell correctly, don't abuse punctuations, minute detail and type out MANY paragraphs per post. eg. ((this is the closest i could find, you find a better example, post it on the ooc. This post was done by WildWindWhisper)) “ The chief thought you would enjoy a bit of torture, along with Time police section of the police services could finally feel like it know it`s place in the secret police organization.” He smile widely as he spoke this.
Era immediately stood up, reached over her shoulder, and gripped the two swords. These usually maintained being invisible but not at this moment. In a breath both males lay dead upon the floor, with life no longer a part of them. Standing over their slain bodies Era knows her next action would be the wandering into the office of Crown Prince Mannix.
Turning toward the closed door she paces solidly, reaches forth, grasps the handle and rips the door open. All the beings that exist inside take to gazing toward this commotion, while Era paces toward the occupants, and holding her swords in readiness. Prince Mannix stands firm, while in a commanding voicing “ What do you think you are doing?”
With that Era steps swiftly, brings the two swords to slice through the other male, that had entered the room just prior to her. This male that had come with the two males that she had just disposed of.
Turning to the crown prince Era glares at him. “ What did they offer you to betray the treaty? “ Prince Mannix state “ Nothing! I would not discuss such with them. They wanted the Witch of Wishes. They thought Chickage hold the keys to all they need. They are wrong. Those keys that they want belong not to any single being. The Witch of Wishes would never betray the Underworld leagues. She has honor. However the human Secret police Chief has none.’
Prince Mannix stare at Era, searching to see if she believes him “ I trust you, Mannix. Finish what you must say.” She directs.
“Thank you, Era. “ He smiles, at her as he continues “ There has been sent a squad of imperial vampire guards to deal with all those that have committed treason against the treaty. Death to all those that break the laws that my father created and we work hard to maintain. Additionally, I have made a special effort to deal with those that have harmed Chickage. She shall die today. She must be avenged! She always has had honor.” Prince Mannix peer into Era`s eyes. “ Are you going to allow this, to be done my way? “
Era smiles, flip her hair back from her face and walks forward, to stand ever so close to the Crown Prince. This makes him nervous, for she has never wished to be close to him. “Umm. If you clean up you lobby, I shall consider it all something that never happened. “ He gazes at her searching her eyes, she leans forward plants, a long passionate, kisses upon his lips and releases him, just as suddenly as she had captured him.
Before he could respond Era simply stroll out of the office, down the front steps and heads toward the street were she first saw the Witch of Wishes. The day had been a snow filled one. Much like the past months has been. As Era stroll along, and catch view of the lamp post, along with the house that belong to the Witch Of Wishes she smiles. The snow slowly begins to wane, and the sun shines brightly in the sky. “ Well done, great lady of darkness. You have saved us all! It shall be recorded that you brought the salvation, and saved the treaty. You shall be honored throughout time, and in all levels of existence.” Era at that moment seems to think she envision Chickage sitting there upon the lamp post. Just one more time she is sitting there, being playful, and enjoying the last drops of snow descend. Era smile warmly stating “Thank you! It indeed has been a pleasure. I now understand the mystery.” Era turns around, clicks the buttons upon her wrist bracelets, and vanishes back to Limbo. Punctuation and Spelling Hem, hem, SPELLCHECK IS YOUR BEST FRIEND! Avoid those annoying, unslightly, spelling errors that seem to blemish the eye by using SPELLCHECK.
.- I think everyone knows what this little dot at the end of each sentences is. Full stop.
,- Used to indicate a break in the sentence. Comma.
!- This poor symbol is often abused by n00bs. Exclamation mark greets you and hides.
" "- those two symbols are quotation marks. They are used to indicate speech. If your character speaks a lot, cherish the quotation marks for you shall see them everywhere. They surround the sentence of speech. eg. She shrugged. "All right," she said.
Spelling is something that we may be good at or bad at. Spellcheck blows away all our worries that we have spelt a word incorrectly. Use it, Cherish it, Spell Check.

3/ Further Explanation Of Common Rules Found In Role plays.
Everyone knows the TOS, i presume, so i think there is no need for me to type it all out. Any whom here are common rules found in RP. Also everyone should know the guild rules so no other explanation is needed.
1/ No Cybering. This is fairly straightforward. We really don't want to read about it. We don't want to read your sick and perverted fantasies, thank you very much. If you must, go on some other site.
2/No Godmoding, Mary Sues or Power playing. Mary Sues (or her male counterpart Marty Stu) are basically the most perfect characters imaginable. They are usually found in fan-fictions but RPGs do sprout these annoying things out. Mary Sues will be further explained in the character section.
Godmoding and power playing are pretty much the same except that godmodding belongs mainly to n00bs and power playing is harder to detect. Godmoding is sometimes referred to as autoing. This is very annoying to other role players because if one person does it, a RP fight gets NO WHERE. Who wants to RP fight with some-one whom goes DEATH KILLEZER PHEAR ME after the first post or controls your character no matter what you do? It is even more annoying killing a villain that cannot be killed! All characters have strengths and weaknesses. They are not all strength or all weakness.
Eg. He shot her and she died immediatly. Eg. She managed to dodge the lighting and healed due to her healing armor.
3/ Pm your characters to (insert name). This is fairly obivious. Why? The thread makers simply don't want profiles cluttering up their thread unless otherwise stated.
4/ Cursing is to be kept to a minimum. Even the most evil warrior won't swear that much. Really who would type. e.g"**** YOU and your ************* ********* ******* *******" yelled the warrior. If your posts are full of cursing, then there is not that much for the next poster to work off on. What are they going to do, post back curse words?
5/No Flaming This more or less goes under respect everybody. Flaming is when some-one posting criticism goes to far. It can involve threats and get really nasty. If you are having a fight with someone in the OCC, restrain yourself or leave before it gets too nasty.
6/Post up to a certain quota Yes, i am aware that most people here have just started role playing or are not very experienced. To keep a role play working, you need to post detail for others to work off. It's not easy to work off one sentence. We cannot analyse every minute detail of the sentence. Even if you think you have typed out too much, it may not be enough when posted. So, please, if role playing attempt to type as much out as possible. Add detail, purple prose, fatten out your thin paragraph!
7/ Stay active This is very annoying when people don't stay active. If you join a role play, STAY THERE until the end! Don't do one post and leave. There was a reason why you wanted to join in the first place. We understand prior commitments, but try to post at least once a week to make it easier on everyone. Why do you think good role plays die quickly?
Tatsu_The_Dragon Roleplay ActivityI dislike waiting for people to post! Especialy If I know they have been online and have not bothered to reply to a post. Such as the person posted, I reply and they come online and don't post. Even though they have been online like an hour. I understand if he/she can't do it, because they are doing a project but they should check. This has happened to me several days in a row and when the person was on more then once. So if you come online and have joined a roleplay or anything for that matter in or out of a guild. Check your roleplay to see if anyone has replied or posted in it. You don't have to do it immediatly but it should be part of your daily online plan.
