Which do you prefer?
I like angelic, female vocalists in shoegaze. It just fits the whole ambience. Some of the male vocalists, like the one in The Distortions (mad props to Sinister for introducing me to them), are spectacular though, because of that slight, desperate waver.

Yeah, any male vocalist who abandons that macho s**t and wears his heart on his sleeve (or in his throat) is generally okay with me.

A Kiss Goodbye That's one big thing I love about Cap'n Jazz. <3 I can't stop listening to their remake of Take On Me, even though it's the some of the worst singing I've heard. :]

I refuse to believe the chorus is intentionally bad, except the "WHEEEEEEE!" (day) part.
