Alright, well, going through one normal day one might hear the occasional person calling someone a "slut", or a "whore", and of course it doesn't bother you in the least, why should it? BUT FOR ROBERT it eats me up inside every single time I hear someone call any one(female, for that matter) a "slut". This statement pretty much sums up how I think:Words like "slut" and "whore" are inseparable from the sexist attitudes that they were born from and serve no purpose besides shaming women out of embracing their sexuality, whatever it may be.
And of course, I will go into how chicks are called sluts if they have sex, but guys are just LIVIN' IT UP!Here is a situation: a guy has sex with two chicks; WOOHOO! The holy grail of stereotypical males! But wait, when a women has sex with two guys it's more of a "Eww, what a slut, she ******** two guys."
And here is another thing: Sex is not slutty. It seems to be that there are two conflicting messages nowadays: If you have sex young you are a whore/slut, but if you wait until you get married to have sex, that just seems pretty ridiculous! And of course, everyone loves double standards: if a guy has a sex young it's more of "Damn, he's getting all the ladies!", if a guy waits until he is married he is viewed as more polite, and less sex-hungry then stereotypical males. We all know men are walking penises, of course! surprised AND ANOTHER THING! The people who insult women after they get abortions sicken me, they go up there with the people that say it was "the girl's own fault", if she's raped. I hate to sound all"OMG PRO CHOIS ALL DA WAY!!", but if the woman decided she wants to give birth to the baby, good. If the woman decides she wants an abortion, that's more for stem cell research! Well, it would be that way if I was running the country.
Mein Gott! I just read what I wrote, and it all seems faintly familiar somehow. confused This may not be a good journal entry, but I blame late nights.
