I have a review....but not just any review....a BORIS review!

Boris - Dronevil -FINAL-

Lesse, first off I spent 26 dollars on this ********, and no doubt 25 of it went to the incredible packaging. Double digipak resembling a 2LP, gatefold sleeves, 6 disc-shaped pictures with the tracks names, moths, and the band on them. Truly elaborate.

As for the music, even with a "disc Drone" and a "Disc Evil" it's all drone. The gimmick of this is to listen to both cds at the same time for a fuller effect. Fuller effect indeed, as Disc Drone is quiet-ambient and fading bass notes while Evil is these sick mammoth blues. Did I forget to mention that this 2cd is six 20-minute songs?

As for the songs, they are okay, but Evil Wave Form is without a doubt the best song this band has wrote. It's a hellspawn cross of Absolutego and Flood. Sick ******** music mixed with trippy minimalism. And they tease me with a bit of nasty feedback which is literally crushed by a mass of downtuned bass and guitars! 19 minutes of aural, slooooooow HEAVY. Don't even get me started on what would happen if I DO listen to both discs at once.

I also got the Mabuta no Ura with the different tracks. It's okay.
