Ok so yesterday, June 27th, was the best day of my life! Here's why:
I now know I can carry a conversation with a college student
I met Fall Out Boy
I went to my first concert with my friend without my parents and got two souvenirs
I got up at 6:00 to get ready to meet Fall Out Boy and I didn't fell unconscious until about 2:00. And they were an hour late! But the girl next to me started talking and so I talked to her. If I didn't have her to talk to I would have probably listen to my iPod and read my book the whole damn time. And I probably would have finished it too. Next time I go to a CD signing I'm bringing a lot more entertainment. Oh and they didn't let us take pictures. And I wanted pictures of me and Fall Out Boy on my MySpace. And I wasn't that excited when they finally came. Let's face it, their not my number one favorite band, but after their concert that night, they might be in the top 5.
Like I said me and my friend, Yazmine, went to the Fall Out Boy concert by ourselves. My first official concert. I was so happy. And the guy who gave me the tickets got them signed by Fall Out Boy. So now me and Yazmine both got autographed Fall Out Boy tickets. And the concert was hella amazing. I can't describe every thing buy I can describe a few major things.
Okay, before the concert started a few bands were playing. And one of them was The Academy Is...And they were, wow! amazing. The lead singer looked like a girl though. o.O He was wearing emo pants and a V-neck shirt. And some of the dance moves he did made him look more like a girl. But he had the mic stand in his hands for almost 1/3 of the time. The first time he threw it up in the air and caught it. And he would grab it and climb on to where the drums were and hold it up in the air. But their finish was awesome. The lead singer actually, literary, climbed on the biggest drum and jumped down. And then the guitarist threw his guitar to the ground and the drummer kicked his drums down.
Then + 44 was the opening act. With two dudes from Blink 182. But they rocked so hard that they broke the floor a little (not break like it actually broke through, more like it cracked or something.) I barely remember any of their performance just that the music...well there are no words about the music.
And then, Fall Out Boy made a big entrance. They jump up from the bottom of the platform that was set up and they also had fire and fireworks. And then it was just awesome seeing them spin around with their guitars. Pete was the one who did all the talking in between songs though. But you know what they had these well dressing rooms I guess or the two ends of the stage and two of the members got in each one and they started to undress. Of course they blurred the image when Pete was done taking off his shirt and was starting to change his pants. You could hear that all the girls were disappointed. And somehow Pete and Joe were able to get off stage and make their to the middle of the floor where there was a Honda Civic to show off on a platform. I don't think anybody noticed them.
It was amazing. Then the concert was over and me and Yazmine are running to get to the souvenir stand walking only when there was a staff member. We got to the stand and was near the front. But I only had $93. I was only able to get an The Academy Is... sweater and a +44 bag. If I had two more dollars I could have gotten a Fall Out Boy T-shirt. Isn't it funny? I went to a Fall Out Boy concert but I didn't get a souvenir for Fall Out Boy? Instead one for The Academy Is... and +44. Sad. But me and Yazmine figured that our signed Fall Out Boy tickets were the souvenir. But it would have been better if we had a camera to take pictures with. But we didn't.
My first concert was amazing. The fireworks, the music, the loud thundering instruments, everything. The performance is something I will definitely remember. I will definitely see them this fall. Thanks for the Memories <3 (kinda dorky huh?)
