I rarely ever read a book, and then when I do, it's only on the odd occasion that I will actually finish them. So I thought, I'd recommend a couple to whoever read this. The following books I literally could not put down except for when I had to (eg. sleep and eat).

They were:


Dragon Keeper (book 1/2)
Garden of the Purple Dragon (book 2/2)

written by Carole Wilkinson

Book 1: About a slave girl (Ping) who worked for a dragon keeper emloyed by the royal family. She escapes with the last living dragon and begins a life of adventure and discovers that there is more to who she is then a slave girl.
Book 2: Ping is left to look after a baby dragon, she is welcomed back by the royal family and is appointed dragon keeper, but the young king hasn't told Ping the true reason why he wants to keep the baby dragon around.

Dark Heavens: White Tiger (book 1/?)
Dark Heavens: Red Pheonix (book 2/?)

written by Kylie Chan

Emma is employed by Mr. Chan as his daughters nanny, when Emma discovers that Mr. Chan is actually the North Wind, she becomes involved in a life surrounded by demons who are trying to destroy the Chan family. Full of mythology, martial arts and sexual tension.

I am now waiting on:

Dark Heavens: Blue Dragon (book 3/?)
which is coming out in August 2007, I am counting the days.
