Well I can't believe it's been two months! My avatar has undergone some major changes (I actually changed my username eek ) and I am indeed continuing to build on my cosy little house. I simply couldn't resist.
I am slowly making my gold and I have actually joined a guild or two. One of my favorites is the is EVAS - the English Dub Defense League. I am a huge fan of anime and I generally perfer dubs to subs simply because I can watch whats happening instead of trying to read everything. Honestly I think English dubs get a very bad rap in this country. And there seem to be so many rabid fans on both sides. Mainly I see the sub fans get exteme but that just might be because I'm a dub supporter so the exteme dub fans see me as an ally. I really don't understand all the animosity between the two factions... rolleyes rolleyes you'd think that instead of arguing with each other over such a small thing we would band together to show the world at large that anime is more than simple perverted porn or animated Barney. That we are not all rabid, drooling, cosplaying all day, lunatic assylum escapees twisted but...ah well. Not that any of those things are necessarily bad(except for maybe the lunatic assylum escapee rofl ). I, myself, will admit to being... ninja a tinsy tiny little bit of a fangirl...now, I know what your thinking but not in the obsesive way stressed . I don't run around going such and such a character is SO HOT heart heart !!!, scream he is mine and nobody else can have him and OMG I'm gonna marry him!!!!!!! mrgreen burning_eyes or anything like that. Cosplay is not my thing but I don't have any problem with someone else doing it...not unless my friend starts dressing like that character all the time, or gets upset if someone else dresses like said character, or...I don't know thinks they are said character gonk (call the funny farm!!) I just think it would be nice for anime fans to unite in our celebration of this wonderful art form instead of ridiculing others of the fanbase. We still get enough wierd looks from the general public, we don't need to be getting it from other fans too.
Well enough preaching for one day...well I sure no one will read this anyway, but I feel better for having gotten it out of my system! 4laugh
