Last day at camp!
Today is the last day of camp, so it is the last day of me dealing with annoying children. On Monday I have been asked to help edit a thesis by a professor, which I should be thankful to do to have the opportunity to talk to a professor and read his work, but it sounds very tedious to me. Already the department is latching onto Víli and me because we are native speakers of Icelandic. I do not see how that makes us an asset for literary Old Icelandic, since everyone can sense that being an expert speaker in the 21st century is different from being an expert reader of 14th century literature. I am still looking forward to it.

I have to spend time reading and doing research these last few weeks before school begins. Víli has had more than his share of a fine head-start, and now I must catch up. He is more studious than I am anyway, I am more pensive and thoughtful. Sometimes it is hard to know that you are my twin, Víli!

I hope I can do something in celebration tonight. My new friends Kevin, Charles, and Richard might have something planned. Why are all of my friends boys? I guess the girls around here lack the childish sense of humour that I enjoy. They are too busy trying to be older whilst I am trying to remain young, like the young men here. Víli, you used to say that we were supposed to be twin sisters and that you were a mistake, but why not twin brothers? Perhaps it is just because of you that I can find comraderie with men. But who can find comraderie with women anyway? We are spiteful creatures.

My face is burnt, and I hope it does not tan. I doubt it will, since my complexion was ever frosty. Ah, vanity strikes even my meek heart, does it not?

I must attend to this final day.

Maybe they're latching on to you because you're hot. domokun

Women are spiteful? I suppose I can see that, but we men are power-mad. I may have you give me a call and discuss our little proposal of mine verbally instead. Let me know if that's something you're willing to do.
