wait, what?
this is wehre i half remember what just happened
Emo essay for college application.
An obstacle in my life that I have had to overcome,
And how I did it.

Most parents reward and/or punish their children depending on how well they do in school. Mine never did. I have never been encouraged to succeed.
Wouldn't it be great to come home with a report card full of A's, and then have your parents give you money, take you out to dinner, buy you a pony, or whatever? It would. If that same report card was full of F's, would you even want to go home? I wouldn't know. It's trail and error. When you do good and get a treat, you want to keep doing good. When you do bad and get punished, you try harder. Without that structure, there is no motivation to do good; it all has to come from inside.
It's not that my parents don't love me; they just don't care. Whether they think it makes them cool parents, or what, I don't know. All I know, Is that if I fail a class, like ninth grade English, all they'll say is, "Uh oh. Maybe try harder? We're going to the hardware store." Sure, some kids would love such laid-back parents. "I can fail all my classes, and my mom won't smack me!" I do not like failing classes; I like doing good. It's a hard thing to do with no support.
On all the award shows the winners pretty much always thank their parents.

My parents are halfway like that.

Basically when I came home with C's on my report card my parents freaked out and yelled at me like crazy and went all psycho with punishments.

When I come home with like 6 A's and a B on my report card and show my mom she is like "Big deal we expect this from you and no less now go away I'm on the computer"

And thats that.
