I had originally gone down that simple stretch completely unaware of my surroundings. Mostly because of a terrible visit I had in outpatience that fine evening. Moday is always the WORST possible day to go to the hospital; the day when all of the hypochondriacs, elderly-and-nearly-dead people and unhappy office workers call in sick. Just to avoid monday mornings scream . I waited there for 2 hours for the doctor to see me about my bad knee wedged in between an elderly woman and a pregnant teenager. So, in despair and boredom I left the hospital waiting room in favor of a more pleasant activity...EATING mrgreen .
I caught myself daydreaming about that terrible wait in the office, only to find that I had wandered into a quiet suburb; illuminated entirely by the pink light of the setting sun. At that moment, I knew that I had found something beautiful heart . The pavement seemed darker, the trees bloomed into a candyapple colour, the houses seemed so neat and tidy. This was upperclass suburbia. Houses stacked neatly row on row in a large peanut shaped formation. Now, my natural instinct had told me that this was a terrible place of conformity stare . But if it were so, than why did it have this overwhelming feeling of home.
I went further into the haze of housing. Each nicely decorated for Halloween. There I saw stereotypical Suburban kids, including Jeff Brown and Jamie Bish walking side by side in the regular attire stare . That must be what it's like to be normal. More and more houses past in all of their modest and tasteful glory. These were the places everyone wanted to go, yet so few could go there! It was almost as though happiness was resonating from the loop whee .
I walked about some more just as the sky turned an orangish colour only to find that I had wandered and drifted all the way to the main street and was standing in the entrance to Tim Hortons. The dream was over... sad
