His Ruin
I’m standing under the spray of water as it washes down my body
These evil thoughts have placed a razor in my hand where you ought to be
I can only think about the inscription that reads shame
As I endlessly wonder why I deserve such pain
Seeing my reflection in the glass shower fills me with a resenting rage as my fist shatters the glass door
Now out of pity the razor wants my arm more
Then I ask my self why tomorrow is so important only to see the answer in those gorgeous eyes of deep blue
As I stare at the picture of you
Which seems to help for a little time
Until I see that you are my only sign
Of fragile faith, unwinding love and shattered hope
I really need you here because I’m having trouble trying to cope
The temptation of the blade has won
Now that I’ve really ******** up I’m asking what I’ve done
The slippery blade falls down the drain
At which point I realize that I’m no longer sane
I slip to the bloody floor
And land in the shattered reflection which is no more
I struggle to get back to my feet
Only after realizing the pain of where the broken reflection and my back meet
Only to get up to see the damage I feel, only to be let down by the mirror, for it will not let me find them
Out of frustration I fumble for the blade again
I take a staggering step backwards, as I realize my life’s in ruins
And then I realize how it’s all his doin’
