“Welcome to my house Maya! Let’s go fix something to eat!” Riku said while leading Maya to the kitchen. “Let’s see what’s here… cheese and a few eggs. How can I make dinner with these? Wait here… I’m going to the market to buy some…” Riku said. “How much you got there?” Mya asked.
“Let’s see… 2 bronze coins...”
“You can’t buy anything with those!”
“Oh yeah…”
“Let’s just make use of what we have shall we?”
“So be it”
Maya then thought of what she’s going to do with few ingredients. “I know! Beat the eggs with the cheese and then toss them all in a pan! Medium fire then when you smell the cheese turn it off and let it cool. Serve with bread and eat up!” Maya said. “You said you never cooked all your life! How can you make up such recipes?” Riku asked.
“Well when you don’t spend much you always make use of what you have!”
“Oh yeah… ok alright I get it. I’ll go cook”
“Wait! You said I’d cook!”
“Oh sorry I forgot. Here let me help you”
So they whipped up dinner. The “Maku Specialty #1” was unknowingly delicious. “Have my tongue betrayed me or is this the best thing I ever had!” Riku said.
“Even I don’t know it’s delicious…” Maya replied.
“Just plain egg and cheese did it… Amazing!”
“…If it’s just plain Riku and Maya it’s more amazing…”
“What? What did you say Maya?”
“Uh… um… If it have molten cheese instead of whole it would be more amazing!”
“Oh yeah! It would be perfect!”
“…It’ll be perfect when you and I got married…”
“What? What did you say again Maya?”
“Uh…um… It’s perfect when it’s not hurried!”
“Yeah! Haste in cooking would do no good!”
“…Haste to that church would do me all good…”
“What? What was it again Maya?”
“Um… taste in cooking would be essential to judge food!”
“Yes! The tongue is has most use in this art!”
“… 2 rings would have most use if it’s in our fingers and bind our hearts…”
“What Maya?”
“I said that 2 people should be getting rest now! It’s getting late…”
“You’re right… You go sleep at my bed. I’ll just sleep here at the door, on guard.”
“Is it ok with you? After all this is your house not mine! You should be the one sleeping at the bed not me!”
“It’s ok with me…”
“I refuse. I’ll sleep at the door too.”
“So be it”
So the two pointlessly slept at the door. It’s about 2 a.m. when Riku waked up and carried Maya to his bed. “ Sleep tight, my little angel…”
