This week is definitly hell week. I'm dead scared. But if I make it through alive, I'll pretty much be home free for the rest of the year (untill something even worse comes up)
So on Monday I have my Breakout presentation. See, in our school district we have a Freshman Project that every freshman in the ENTIRE district has to do. Our freshman project just so happens to be called Breakout because we're supposed to "Breakout and Make a Difference." So we spend like six weeks studying a topic and why that particular topic is a problem and then we have to find a way to make a difference in that issue. My "problem" is The Dangers of Animal Rights Activism, so originally I was going to raise money for a non-violent group that helps animals, but my plan completly fell through, so instead I decided to do what everyone does when they're out of options. I decided to present my problem and all my research to a class at our school. So my presentation is on Monday and I'm three-quarters of the way prepared, but that's not nearly enough of the way prepared to get me an A on the project. And to make it worse, this goes into my Social Studies AND English gradebooks so that means that this has a HUGE impact on my GPA.
And then sometime this week I'm supposed to find out whether or not I got into Honors English for Sophomore year. I'm REALLY scared I didn't get in, and I seriously WILL cry if I don't. We're at a Junior High right now, so Honors English is kind of a joke. But at high school, Honors English is a lot of work and I really want to prove to myself that I can do the work. Plus, I want to be a writer one day, so that will hopefully help me on the road to becoming a fierce writer.
On top of that, we get our History tests back, and this is either going to make me or break me because at this point my grade can either go up a few points to give me an A-, or it can go down a lot to put me at a C+. If I'm at a C+, chances are I'll get kicked out of Honors History. Oh, and our unit tests in math are likely to come in this weeks too. Same position on this one too. Make or break at this point.
Hell Week. It's gonna be a stand out event in my ninth grade year. I will definitly keep you posted this week (If I have a spare moment to breath)
