Kayla sat on the hood of the car as she gazed at the others. Another boring day, hanging out in the parking lot of her school once again. She ran a hand threw her hair and sighed quietly. As She pretended to shield her eyes from the sun Kayla stole a glance at him. She smiled seeing Jake laughing at something stupid one of the other guys had done. Her gaze shifted and set on Rachle. Narrowing her eyes she noticed her friend was smiling and flipping her hair as she gazed flirtly over at Jake. Rachle giggled loudly trying to get his attention. Kayla looked down not able to take much more of this before she felt like gagging. Standing up she began to walk away slowly, heading back torwads the school building. Rachle saw her friend leaving and waving good bye to everyone eles she ran after her.
Whats your deal?" Rachle asked in a confused tone.
Kayla wrapped her arms around her upper torso and sighed as she contiued to walk slowly. "I like this guy but... so does this other girl and I know as soon as he notices her... She will have him hands down."
Rachle stopped and stared after Kayle. Her mouth droppping open as she relized who her friend was talking about. Returning to the parking lot Rachle pulled asaide a group of friends and began to work out a plan to how they could get Kayla to confess her feelings out right.

Later that night everyone was hanging out at Jake's house. Lounging around the basment watching movies, talking, and a few were even making out and doing soem petting. Kayla walked in feeling a little uncomfortable. She went dirrectly to a bean bag chair next to this hideous plaid type sofa. Slumping down into it she leaned back and closed her eyes. She felt someone slip something cold into her hand and opening them she grinned seeing it was a beer. She poped the tab and guzzled the frothy drink down.
Gazing around she saw Paul sitting on the couch in a passionate embrace with Rachle, the two of them had been together as long as she could remeber. Then much to her suprise Rachle pulled away from him and ran to Jake's side, wrapping him into a tight hug. Then returning she sat down in Paul's lap and smirked, "Who wants to play I never?" she called out.
Everyone grabbed a beer and began to think of questions. Then Rachle stood up, her gaze directly on Kayla as she spoke just loud enough for the room to hear, "I never had a crush on Jake."
Kayla blushed furiously and pressing her lips to the beer she tilted her head back and took a drink swiftly. Looking up Kayla peered around the room to see noone eles had drank but their eyes were all trained on her. Jake was blushing as he stared at her with a grin. His eyes shifted down to the boor as he began to mess with the lable on the bottle. Kayla dropped her beer and standing up she pushed past rachle. "Your a b***h" ,she muttered to rachle under her breath before disapearing up the stairs.
Jake stared after her and setting down his beer he rushed after her and grabbed Kayla's hand before she could leave the house. Jake looked a little confused as he stared at Kayla for what seemed the longest time.
Kayla's cheeks were flushed and tear stained. Wreatching her hand back she looked away from Jake and thought, I wish he would stop staring at me. Kayla cleared her throat and looked back for a moment. "Is there something you want?" Her cold tone suprised even her.
Jake stammered as he wipped away her tears, "I.. I love you..." He leaned in and gently pressed his lips against her. Holding Kayla in a loving embrace Jake whispered with his lips still against hers, "I have loved you for a long time now..."
Kayla had returned the kiss but as she opened her eyes she laughed lightly, "What for a whole three minutes now?" Her arms drapped carefuly around his shoulders.
