Chapter 12

"Where's the closest cliff?" Drew slumps down in his conference chair. "I think you won't need to throw me. I'll jump."
"You can't!!" Julia bursts out. "I won't let you!"
"Like to see you stop me." Drew gets up and walks out of the room.
"He's bluffing." Charlie sits back and Julia stands up.
"I'm not going to take that chance." Julia goes out of the room and down the stairs. She foes out the front door and sees Drew drive off in his Ford Galaxy. "Damn it."
Julia runs down the front steps and goes to her car, a Baracuda. She fets in and starts it. She drives down the driveway and sees Drew's car in teh distance on the road. She then follows him at a distance.

Back in the Conference room

"Now that was a little surprising." Charlie watches the door hang on its hinges.
"Well not really." Kaji moves a little in his chair.
"I'm talking about Drew, not Julia." Charlie explains.
"Oh, you're right. That was surprising. What're you going to do?" Kaji gets out of his chair and stretches.
"I'm going to let him kill himself."
"What about Julia? She might dive after him." After a few seconds, Charlie gets out of his chair.
"Kaji, get ready. You're coming with me. I can't let HER commit suicide." He walks out of the room and Kaji follows. Micheal looks around and then looks at Katelyn.
"Back to your question. If it's a boy..."
"Go save Drew." Katelyn points to the door.
"Yes ma'am." Micheal gets out of his chair and leaves the room.
"And now we're going to watch." Katelyn looks at everyone left. Kateyln walks out of the room.

Edge of some cliff in the mountains

Drew looks over the edge and looks uneasy about the height. He hears a car and turns around and sees Julia getting out of her car.
"Damn. You're going to try to stop me." Drew sighs.
"I'm not going to try. I'm going to stop you." Julia walks over to Drew and stops in front of him.
"Of course you are." He grabs her and leans her over teh edge. Julia screams out. "Calm down. If I want you to die, you will. But other wise, you're going to leave me alone." HE brings her back over solid ground and turns back to the edge.
"But I can't just stand here and watch you kill yourself." After she finishes, Drew turns to her. On his face, a look of anger and helplessness.
"You don't realize what I've done, do you? I have single handedly destroyed Katelyn's life. And now that I think back, I always have. You know the video she showed? I remember every second. She was the drunk one. Oh, and don't let me forget those "romantic moments" we shared. My life is a mistake. Just living affects everyone, espeacially you and Katelyn. The whole reason I'm going to kill myself is because it'll end all the suffering I've caused. Katelyn, you, Charlie, everyone. Now you can say all you want, but I know you're going to day "Don't Jump!!", and I don't give a ********. You know why? After I jump, you're going to get in your car, go back to the house, tell everyone, and then, you know what you're going to do? You're all going to party. So let me jump now so you can get to your party." Drew turns back to teh steep drop, and jumps off.
