Well, the surgeon came and found that Scarlett had ripped the muscles too far for her to be able to live comfortably. Allison's having her put down to ease the pain. Thankfully she still has the colt, though, and she'll keep him. His name is Rokosz, which is Polish for 'rebellion'.
Personally, I think she's just asking for a beast as wild as his mother, but maybe she is.
