I just flooded my bathroom. I was filling a bath and then I came down to scan a piccy real quick (the bath is pretty big) and then I got so caught up in trying to get it so I could post the picture either on here or my myspace account. Then I heard a splattering sound from the hallway. I ran in and saw water pouring down through the light fixture and the fire alarm.
I ran upstairs to shut off the water, opened the door to a huge cloud of steam which set the fire alarms off. Right now I'm thinking 'oh, crap. the alarms are set so the firetrucks will come.'
Fortunatly, they didn't and I'm not going to question why. My sister and I went around and yanked the fire alarms off their wires except for this evil one on the wall upstairs that is bolted firmly to the wall.
All the towels we have are currently soaked, soaking, in the washer or in the dryer. The ceiling is still dripping, the fire alarm downstairs where the water dripped out is waterlogged and in the sink.
Right now, I'm thinking about the speaker that came to class and talked to us about homeowner's insurance and telling a story about her father's house flooding and how it cost ~42,000 dollars to repair the mold damage.
And all of this happened when my mom went out to the gym and was gone 10 minutes... fun.
Bonus, the rug upstairs in the bathroom was soaked through with cat pee that had dried and is now back with a vengance. Whoopee...

crying All I wanted was a nice hot bath and now my mom's going to kill me!
