Yeah... ever notice how once you finish getting something, you move on to something else? It's the way of the world, not just Gaia. Humanity is in a constant state of change, of needs, wants, and motivation. But is this always good motivation? Of course not, nothing's ever all good. All in all, Hmanity's not doing so bad in the short term use of the word. Overall though, we're not lookin' so swell. But There's nothing I can do about it.
One person can make a difference.
Lies, all lies. They may be the sole representative of that difference, but there's no way in possibility that one, and only one, person can change the world. They can make it much worse, but it's harder to do something bad than something good. Ever notice how that works? The Devil's voice is at times stronger than God's, which is why we must resist.
No, I'm not 'religious'. yes, I am christian. Yes, I do believe in God. It's the church I have problems with...
God accepts all people, regardless of age, gender, nationality, sexuality, and physical appearance. Why can't the church? In fact, why can't humanity? I'm sure just about all gods are more accepting than humans are. But humans are flawed, which is why we can love.
There is a difference between faith and religion. Faith is a heartfelt, strong belief in hope, love, and a higher being/fate/destiny/karma/whatever to which you remain loyal to out of conviction and love. Faith is something of he heart, and of the mind.
Religion can be faked. Religion is going to church, saying a few rushed prayers before dinner, croaking a few hymms during the morning service, etc. Religion is something of the body, and therefore it can be faked.
I'm not saying everyone who goes to church is a cheater, merely that it's possible to cheat God in church. But it is not possible to cheat God in your heart. There is no deception in your heart which He does not know. If you know it, he knows it. If you deny it, He will see through your lies.
People of faith can go to church, and they make the best christians in church. But people of faith don't always have to go to church. Their church may conflict with their beliefs (mine's borderline), so staying away would be better.
