Ch. # 14

"What do you mean still can be?" Charlie slumps into the recliner of the downstairs living room. Micheal walk in from the kitchen, carrying twoo stools.
"We need more chairs," Micheal comments and goes to Ashley, offering a seat. She takes a stool and sits down. Micheal whispers to Ashley. "I would've offered Katelyn, but she alread has a seat, just so you have the facts straight."
"I mean that if I can retrieve his brain from the cliff's edge, I can make a clone." Jessie sits beside Katelyn and Amy.
"You can clone. For some reason, that strikes me odd. Do you have some secret labratory somewhere?" Charlie jests sarcasticly.
"Yes."
"What?! Where?!" Katelyn bursts out with hope.
"The atic."
"But there isn't a atic." Micheal leans forward on his stool.
"Everyone follow me." Jessie gets up and everyone gets up and follows her upstairs to the bathroom door.
"It's in the bathroom?" Amy questions.
"No. We have to go through." Jessie opens the door and everyone sees Julia sitting on the toilet. Jessie walks straight through the bathroom, ignoring Julia's presence. Jessie rips off the wall paper of the far wall, revieling a handless door. She takes out her keyes and presses a button on her keychain. The door opens and Jessie goes in. Everyone else hesitates to pass through the bathroom, but after a minute or so, everyone goes through the bathroom and go into Jessie's secret room.
"I saw the blueprints before we bought it, but I thought this was empty space. No walls or anything." Katelyn looks around the room, seeing tons of equipment.
"Yeah, I added all of this and the atic. Wait, hold on for a second." Jessie goes to the door and looks at Julia. "Could you join us once you're done?"
Julia looks at her completely confused.
"Okay. When you're done." Jessie almost completely closes the door, leaving the door slightly open. "Okay then. To the atic." Jessie walks past them to a stair case and goes up teh stairs. Everyone else follows. As they enter the newly found atic, they find several domes, easily able to fit a person inside. "There is a total fo six subjects already making exellent progress."
"Woah, woah, woah, what do you mean subjects?" Charlie looks at the closest dome that is filled with a green liquid.
"Clones."
"You have live clones, here?"
"No, not here. They're on campus in my lab there." Jessie guilds them through her labratory.
"Are you ahead of the government in your research?" Micheal asks.
"Of course. They're struggling with sheep. I've successfully cloned myself, Amy, Micheal, and Ashley."
"But you said there were six." Micheal reaminds her of her previous statement.
"The clones of Charlie and Julia are still in development."



Chapter #15


"Are you sure you want to do this now?" Micheal yells over the edge of the cliff. "It's really dangerous."
"The sooner we get Drew's brain, the sooner Jessie can clone him." Julia looks down the cliff she's climbing. "Plus, this is just rock climbing backwards."
"Without a rope? You're crazy."
Julia shrugs off his comment and continues down the mountain. She approaches the disembled body that was once Drew. She reaches an are where it's flat, and where the majority of his body landed. She searches among the debris of blood and guts, she finally finds his head. She picks it up and realizes that the last expression on Drew's face was happiness in the form of a smile. Chills go up her spine and then she puts the decapitated head in her bag.
"I've got the head!" Julia yells up to the edge.
"Good. Was the whole head there?" Jessie yells back to her.
"Yeah. It's all here together."
"Good. Come on up."


On top of the cliff

"It's going to be freaky driving with a decapitated head in the car." Ashley shivers with the thought.
"At least we're not far from the house." Micheal reassures.
"Why haven't the cops shown up?"
"There aren't any up here." Jessie looks over the edge watching Julia climbing back up. "They figured since almost no one lives up here, let them do what they want."
"Plus, if they found the body and then saw Drew walking around in a couple months, we would get ******** up." Amy leans against the car.
"Litterly ********. All police are corrupt and take advantage of everybody." Jessie added.
"Will you stop chatting. We have to make ourselves a clone." Julia stands up at the edge and holds up here bag.


7 months and 30 days later in Jessie's lab

Jessie walk in with a cup of coffee. She finds Julia sitting in a chair next o the dome holding the clone of Drew. She walks up behind Julia and places her hand on Julia's shoulder.
"Julia, you should get some sleep."
"Nah, I'm fine. I'm wating until he wakes up." Julia looks up at Jessie.
"There's something I should tell you. When he wakes up, he'll be like a child. But he'll also experience the pain he had when he died. I'm leaving it to you to revise his memory. When you clone a person, it's almost like anmesia when they wake. Plus when his memory does come back, he won't know he's your brother."
"What do I do to revise his memory?"
"Act like he never died. Show him around the house. Introduce him to everyone. Things like that." Jessie walks away and checks on some equipment. Julia watches Drew's "body" float up and down in the green liquid. In the distance, she hears a loud scream.
"PERVERT!!!! JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE THE FATHER DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN WALK IN ON ME IN THE BATHROOM!!!" Katelyn's voice rings through the lab. A few soconds later, Micheal comes through the lab door and yells down the stairs.
"You could've locked the door!!!" He closes the lab door, and goes over to Julia. He sits in a chair next to her. "Any sign?"
"No. Not yet."
"Just want to tell you that I'm here for you." Micheal lean over and hugs her and she hugs back. As they hug, Julia looks over at the dome and screams.
"HE JUST WINKED AT ME!!!!!"
