I seriously haven't written is this journal since like, September. So let me rant and catch you up on my life. FIRST OF ALL: I went to a freakin' MADONNA concert and it was THE GREATEST TWO HOURS OF MY LIFE. It was so amazing. Words can't even describe. I like seriously almost cried when she started singing Evita. I was lik SCREAMING MY HEAD OFF. And all the people around me were like "Wtf? Why are you screaming? It's a song about Eva dying!" Everyone was staring. It was fabulous. And then like a week later, I watched a video of that performace on YouTube, and if you listen carefully, you can hear my high-pitched screaming that almost broke Francesca's ear drums. Lol.
Second: I'M GOING TO WASHINGTON DC!! That's right!! w0o0t!! The day of the Madonna concert I came home from school and there was a letter for me on the counter. I saw it and was all" wtf? Who could this possible be from NO ONE ever sends me letters. So the letter was all about how my Amer. Govt. teacher nominated me for this trip to DC. It'll be pretty sweet. It's in Feb. and I'll get to visit Congress and I'll even get time to talk with my representative.
Third: THE ELECTION. Election day was like the best dude. I wore all blue that day and nobody could shut me up about politics. And that night, I went home, finished my homework and proceeded to glue myself to CNN for like four hours straight. Dude. Obama freakin' CREAMED McCain. It was kind of the best. Seriously. I love politics. I'm like ACING my Amer. Govt. class. And during the election, I had one a many debates with my friends. And I made fun of Sarah Palin along with the rest of the world. Tina Fey's impersonation= Win.
Fourth: My love for Eva Peron. Eva Peron was pretty much amazing. I'm like in love with her. She's my favorite non-American politician. (And let me tell ya:Her life makes for an AMAZING musical) In conclusion, Eva Peron is amazing and I plan to follow in her footsteps. Move aside, Hiliary Clinton, cuz I'M the next Eva Peron! Dude, when I go to DC, I'm gonna be like THE Evita. I'm gonna paint my nails red, wear red lipstick, pull my hair back and wear cute suits. Maybe I should bleach my hair too! (You know Eva was a natural brunette, she just decided to bleach her hair.) I love Evita, I think she was amazing. Too bad she's dead >< Stupid uterine cancer. I wish I could be just like Eva.( and Madonna, and Audrey Hepburn. Weird combo eh? I think Madonna and Eva are a lot alike actually)
Fifth: MADONNA. Ever since her concert, I've been OBSESSED with Madonna. She's like all I listen to, when I not listening to my Broadway(and vice versa) Maybe that's why I like the Evita movie so much. B/c it's a combo of two of my favorite things: Madonna and Broadway. I like DIED when I heard she went to Argentina this year. She met the President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner , WHO'S A PERONIST!!!!!( as in Eva Peron), and then Madonna played a Peronist as Eva in Evita. You know, the scene for 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina' was filmed on location at the real Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires, on the same balcony that the real Evita used. I love how my obsessions with Madonna and Evita go hand in hand.
Sixth: Broadway is amazing. I love it. I went to two shows this year. Both in Chicago of course. Sweeny Todd in May and Dirty Dancing in November. Both amazing. I added A TON of Broadway to my iPod this year too. It makes up at least HALF of all my music. It's an addiction, one that I will never kick. One night during the summer, I stayed up from midnight until like 5am, just listening to showtunes on Radio Aol. Talent? Yes.
Seventh: I'm like dying from lack of Army Wives and JAG. My two fave shows ever. The new season for Army Wives won't premiere until like June( I'll NEVER LAST!!!!) and JAG got moved to 7am instead of 6am. So I can't watch it before school anymore, which TANKS.
*thinks* I think that's it. Ya'll should pretty much be caught up on-Oh wait. I forgot to mention that my life is turning into a bad episode of 'The Hills'( which I've started watching. Not too bad) Just lots of friend drama all around with my junior and sohpomore friends. But I don't really feel like talking about that right now. I'll save that for another entry.
Truth be told, I'm kinda of glad 2008 is over. It wasn't nearly as awesome as 2007. 2008 had too much drama for my taste. And while there were some good times, I still think 08 could've been better, had it not been so drenched with everybody's drama, mine included. So come on 2009! I'm ready for ya
Ok. So now I'm really done. I will TRY to journal more often.
